How to erase Contacts file'

I am upgrading from Nokia 9300 to N97 and I am having many problems with the Contacts database. I have 2,500 contacts that I have transferred using svereal methods: transferring from 9300 to N97 via Bluetooth; using ovi PC Suite; using 9300 PC Suite... In all cases I have "succeeded" in transferring the contacts, but they don't appear as a message says that there is not enough Memory!!. I have been fighting the issue for the last 48 hours to no avail. In addition, the Contacts file cannot be found, as it is hidden, neither in the phone nor using the PC suite, and I have to format the whole phone using *#7370# to get rid of the contacts file. I remember that in the 9300 it was possible to see the hidden files.
I ha no problem with the Calendar file.
My question is threefold:
Where can I find the hidden files in the N97?
How can I get rid of the "Memory problem"? ( nothing else is open!)
How can I succesfully transfer the Contacts file?

On the N97, you can go to: Settings -> Connectivity -> Data Transfer -> Phone Switch.
Follow the instructions from there.
* How can I get rid of the "Memory problem"? ( nothing else is open!)
Keep in mind that on N97, you can only save your Contacts in the phone memory for now (120MB space). So with 2,500+ contacts, I dont know if the phone memory can handle it. I myself dont have that so many contacts.
For SMS and Email data, you can specify in which storage space you want to keep them.

How to erase data files for ical & address book

I have Palm Treo 700P, am a .mac subscriber and on syncing have had problems with multiple entries and re-entries from my .mac account or MacBook or the Treo. AND, conflict resolver has hundreds of conflicts.
Will the following work, and, how do I do it.
-Back up iCal and Address book.
-Delete whatever files I need to to erase the existing program database on Treo/address book/ iCal
-Re-sync with .mac to get "one" copy of my databases on all 3 hardwares.
If not, how should I do it?

How to erase hidden files?

Hello.
I've been fixing with my external drive, and deleted some files when I was going to move to a new 27" iMac.
When moving the hard drive to the new computer I had forgot to emty the trash and all the files that I've been deleting from my old computer is now taking up space on the drive. -Yes I DID emty the trash after I've disconnected the HD
So, how do I remove those 200GB of space without re-formatting my HD?

The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on resolving Trash problems. And, be sure that this drive actually has the trashed files, not another drive. Are these files truly hidden as in invisible files? If so, then you might try making invisible files visible:
Enable Finder to Show Invisible Files and Folders
Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following command line then press RETURN.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE
killall Finder
To turn off the display of invisible files and folders enter or paste the following command line and press RETURN.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder
Alternatively you can use one of the numerous third-party utilities such as TinkerTool or ShowHideInvisibleFiles - VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

How to erase ipod files

I am going to take my ipod on a trip from home for use as a photo storage device. I plan to start out with music and video on board, but when I'm ready to download photos, I want to dump the ipod contents or better yet, selectively dump contents.
Is there any way to do either...without a computer? I will be away from my computer at home.

This is one of the most stupid non-features that should be included. You have to go through **** and high water to simply delete items when on other players you select and delete. Anyone use rockbox here? Do they have a delete function built in?

I'm trying to follow your instructions, but when I drag the folder into the loop browser for reindexing, its not giving me any options, it just says "adding loops to the loop browser" and when its done, I do not have any folders in my loop browser. The loops seem to be added, but they are not in any hierarchy!

Connect the computer to another Mac and put it in FireWire Target Disk mode, or use the Disk Utility to clone the drive or image specific folders with the USB drive as the target. After you've copied off everything you want, you'll likely need to erase the drive and reinstall the applications.

You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

I would like to know how to erase archives protected files of Acrobat Reader and install by Acrobat Reader and not my self..
After a download, directly on the Website of Adobe of an install file of Acrobat Reader for the french version 10.1.4 for Windows XP Service Pack 3 named : Install_reader10_fr_gtbd_chrd_dn_aaa_aih.exe , I scanned the file with Avast and it told me that it couldn't scan some files protected by a past word..
I notice the same problem for Acrobat Reader version 11.0.03
The problem is that I had already Intall this version Acrobat Reader and now it is impossible for me to erase those files.
Would anybody have a solution for this problem?

Thank you Thomas in fact I have seen your guide before and had gone thru the steps including repair disk which didn´t work. I am erasing disk before checking hardware. I have posted a photo of the 4 decrypted files in the disk utility and also of the adobe icons in the dock and question marks. Some people say if the adobe appears in the dock is because it is the trojan flash player and they keep jumping in the dock. If this is not malware it seems to be an incredible coincidence that when I start seeing these things in my dock and the decrypted files in my disk utility is when my computer goes so slow (I am typing this in my macbook air because to write this message in my imac would be about 6 hours, I am not kidding, it is completely useless at this point it took me 2 and half days too instal mac os x after disk repair, it took me 3 days to transfer just 100 gigabites and now is taking the whole day (and it says another day more) just to erase the disk. Despite all this the icon of adobe keeps jumping in the dock so, although I am no computer and mac expert, just an user, I am inclined to think that it is malware and it is a shame that mac doesnt´recognize it or have anything here to help me get rid of this. I am not even sure if erasing the disk will work since repairing didn´t work... all advice is welcomed.

You do not export anything.
Instead, sync the content from Outlook to your device via iTunes.
