How To erase google history

When I click the Google website search bar (the website it self) it gives me a long list of search quearerys.
I would like to erase them.
Any thanks would be appreciated,

If you mean the website itself and not the search bar in the toolbar, open Safari preferences and click Autofill. Click Edit next to Other Forms, and delete the entry for google.com.

  • How do you erase your history on the search field?

How do you erase your history on the search field ( the first page you swipe to, on the left)?

Ah, I understand now. You don't want to erase the search history. You want to prevent search from accessing old data. The only way to do that is to restore the phone as new.

  • How do I stop my child from erasing the "history" on mozilla? Is there a way to password protect it so only I can access it?

My teenager erased the history each time he goes on so that I don't see where he was (so he doesn't get in trouble for going to youtube when he should be doing homework). I'd like to be able to password protect the history so he can no longer erase it. Can you please advise me.

One option is to use the Public Fox add-on to password protect parts of Firefox including the option to clear recent history - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/public-fox/
The downside of using an add-on is that it is quite easy to bypass. An alternative approach is to use a third party parental control application that stores its own log of sites that are visited. If the Firefox list is cleared, the sites will still be shown in the other application. One such application is the free K9 web protection - http://www.k9webprotection.com/

I think you guys make a great point, I too don't like how my cookies are erased when I clear history and have to use the go around. Just a reminder and I'm sure you all know, this is a user to user forum and Apple may or may not get to see your opinion. I think you should let them know. You can leave them feedback at the following url. https://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html

  • Google history

Does anyone know how to clear the search history from the google search bar on a web page (which is my home page...http://www.google.com.au/)... not the google search bar on the safari tool bar.
    Thanks
    Matt

What I find a bit surprising, no search history, or trends etc. are accumulated in my account even though I use Google search quite a bit. Googles "help" section is not very helpful here. I do see the auto prompts as I type in the Search field on the Google History search field, but no prompts appear when entering in the regular search engine.
Well, remember that we're talking about two different things:
Autofilled searches as entered in the Google search field, which are handled by a Safari feature, not by Google. This is what I believe Matt is asking how to clear.
Google's saving of your search history, which is accessed by logging into Google as a member and then clicking on the "Search History" link at the top. This search history is not something that automatically appears when you start typing in the Google search box (unless #1 is in effect, but they're separate feature regardless, handled by different entities).
As far as #1 goes, this is completely within Safari's realm. When you type in anything in a form on a web page and have Safari's preferences set to autofill for "Other forms," Safari remembers what you type until you clear the autofill entry for a given site or turn off that preference setting.
For #2, this is a Google feature entirely and not within Safari's realm. This does work for me in Safari, but only if I'm logged into Google when I search. If you log out of Google (or never had an account there, either just a Google account or a Gmail account), it doesn't track and retain your searches until you log in again.
    So, in response to:
I wonder if this is still more oriented toward the PC realm than the Mac platform?
No, it works just as well on a Mac, including in Safari. You just have to be logged into a Google account while searching for Google to remember and save your searches. (And you also have to have that feature turned on in your Google preferences. That is the default setting, so Google will save your searches while you're logged in, as long as you haven't specifically turned it off.)

  • Deleting google history on safari

I have a question about deleting my google history from the iPhone. I have cleared the browsing history etc in general settings page but when in google if you type the first letter it gives you options that you have searched before. How do you delete these??
    Any suggestions?

Ok, I know what you mean now, but don't know if there is a way to clear. Sounds the same as email addresses people complain about. If you hand type an email address when making an email it will remain there as well with no option to clear. The only way to clear (which odds are the same for the search) is to Restore your phone and don't load the backup but start fresh.

  • Safari won't erase url history

Hi everyone, Safari will not erase the history. I first went under history and selected clear histiory- no success. Then I reset Safari and still no success. I really wanna get rid of the the autofill urls in Safari because my cousins from Canada used my computer and now everytime I begin to type google.com it autofills with google.ca. Its super annoying.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I found what its related with. I erased everything in my safari prefs folder one by one, and found that the autofill urls are linked to my Bookmarks.plist file. I made a backup of it since all my bookmarks where in there and when I put the file back into my preference folder, my bookmarks reappeared and those annoying autofill urls.

  • Erase to History stopped working!

Hi.... I was recently overjoyed to find that using the eraser tool I could tick "erase to history" and recover some of my images (that had been wiped out by the magic eraser tool when creating a pure white backgound). However the "erase to history" tick box is now greyed out or as has just happened reappeared but no longer is having any impact when I apply it.
    Any help much appreciated.
    John

Chances are you changed something, such as canvas size or bit depth, between your current history state and the "anchor" point (where the little brush icon is in your History list), which made the operation no longer make sense.
Perhaps you should go read up on how Erase to History actually works.  It may be more complex than you realize.
I'm not sure what version of Photoshop you're using, but to achieve a higher level of quality you might want to investigate moving to using layer masks and the various tools for making and adjustnig masks.

  • How to consume Google REST web service

    Dear All,
I have a task to embed Google Maps into web dynpro and/or CRM WebUI.
There is no problem with embedding only map with route on it, but I need also calculated distance.
In WebDynpro I've just created iFrame CHIP component which targets: http://maps.google.pl/maps?output=embed and two CHIPS with import parameters to give source and destination address. Route is calculated and drawn.
Problem is with the distance, because the only way is to consume google web service (which is not SOAP, so I can't use service consumer). It must be something like web request.
URL which I need to access is:
    http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/distancematrix/xml?&mode=driving&sensor=false&origins=Warsaw&destinations=Hamburg
    or
    http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/distancematrix/json?&mode=driving&sensor=false&origins=Warsaw&destinations=Hamburg
where origins and destinations must be connected with import CHIPS. How to access such service in a proper way?
Second thing is that I have to parse response.. it could be XML or JSON format. I just need summary distance. Any idea?
Btw - I'm quite fresh with WebDynpro and WebUI, so I'm looking for good 'HOW TO' guide. Can you recommend something which is good to start with?
    thanks in advance
