How to establish connection between mac(Ichat) and PC

I'm the happy owner of a brand new Isight camera.
I want to establish contact to my father in Poland.
He owns a PC.
Wich kind of account and messenger should he use in order for me to be able to speak with him via Ichat?

Loose connection between Mac Mini and Apple TV 2

Help! I have a new Mac Mini 2.5 ghz running Lion and Apple TV2 hooked up to my 32 inch LG TV.
Before I got the Mac Mini, Apple TV was running just fine on the same network with my Win 7 machine.
Ever since I got the Mac Mini and I run the Apple Tv at the same time. I loose connection on both. My cable provider replaced the router and all my other Win 7 machines run just fine on a wireless network. I might also add that when the apple tv and mac mini goes down, my ipad 2 goes down too. Of course, air play doesn't work . It comes and goes.
I have a 2nd Apple TV 2 and hooked that up to the same tv with the same results. I have called Apple many times. They are helpful but not been able to solve my problem. The cable provider and I have traced down to a conflict between the Apple TV, Mac Mini and the IPAD 2 .
Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong?

I have had multiple ATV's, desktops, laptops, and i Devices all running at the same time without a problem. Typically on a network when you start 2 devices and the connection crashes it is an IP problem. Check the IP address on both devices and see. It is usually easiest to have the router assign IPs automatically using DHCP. The router, computers, and ATVs should also be set to DHCP.
If everything is set to DHCP try disabling DHCP and assign fixed IPs to each device.

How to set connection between oracle forms and DB?

oracle forms and reports 10g in d drive ,
how do i set the connection between forms and DB ?

You didn't mention the versions or whether you are using Developer Suite or Application Server. I guess it really doesn't matter in this case, but please provide complete information in the future.
In order to connect the F/R home to a db you will need to make the appropriate configuration entries in tnsnames.ora found in the F/R home (\NETWORK\ADMIN). The entry you add will be similar to the one found in the tnsnames.ora for the db which is found in a similar directory in the db home. The entry will look something like this:

How to disable syncing between .Mac mail and Mail.app?

Howdy everyone,
I'm trying to get my wife's 'new' (aka hand-me-down) 12" PowerBook set up the way she likes it. She uses .Mac Mail, and mostly uses the webmail portion, rather than the Mail.app. Anyway, she's presented me with a question that's stumped me - she wants it set up so that when she deletes a message from .Mac webmail, it stays in her Mail.app Inbox, and vice-versa. I guess you could say that she wants Mail.app to retrieve the messages from .Mac, but doesn't want their mailboxes synced.
Any ideas? I'd fiddled with the settings but can't make it work that way. I have a strong feeling that its right in front of me, but I just can't see it...
Any help would be great!

A .Mac type account with the Mail.app is really an IMAP type account and behaves in the same way.
Personal preference but FYI, webmail access is primarily designed when away from your computer and email client needing to access your email account when using a computer with internet access that is not your own.
For what your wife wants, she needs to access her .Mac account as a POP type account with the Mail.app. You can access a .Mac account as a .Mac, IMAP or POP type account with the Mail.app and as an IMAP or POP type account with other email clients.
This will require deleting and recreating the account in Mail selecting POP as the account type when the account is recreated.
All messages that remain on the server will not be affected by this but any messages sent by the account with the Mail.app that are not stored on the server will be deleted when deleting the account in Mail.
If there are any messages in the account's Sent mailbox that need to be saved, transfer all messages from the account's Sent mailbox to a user created "On My Mac" location mailbox before deleting and re-creating the account.
After re-creating the account in Mail as a POP type account, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and under the Advanced tab for the account preferences is a setting for removing messages from the server when downloaded. This should not be selected so no messages will be removed/deleted from the server when downloaded by Mail.
Deleting a message from the server via webmail access for the account will have no effect on messages already downloaded from the server by Mail.

Audiophiles: Noisy USB Connections between Mac Intel and DJ Mixer

Seeking experience/ help/ advice from DJs or audiophiles:
I'm having trouble with noise in an audio system after connecting a Numark USB DJ mixer to my new iMac via USB.
The noise is a steady, high-pitched tone with low amplitude that does not increase or decrease when the gain on the mixer is adjusted. In fact, the noise persists when all levels (channel and master) are turned all the way down. The noise only appears after making the USB connection and selecting the USB audio driver in the Sound panel in System Prefs. The sound does not persist if the cable is connected but some other device (eg Built-in audio out) is selected in the Sound panel.
However, oddly, when I made a connection using a 1/4 to RCA cable from the audio out on the iMac to an available channel on the mixer, the noise was reduced (but not eliminated)when I selected the USB driver in the Sound panel.
When I record the incoming USB audio signal using Peak 4.14, the noise is not captured by the software. It appears to be present only in the external stream/ speakers. The speakers are Samson 65a active studio monitors positioned more than 5 feet from the computer and audio system. None of the audio cables are touching any of the power cables in the setup.
The only possible explanation I can think of is that the electrical outlet in my home is not grounded properly. But the audio system sounds fine on its own - no noise. If there were a grounding problem wouldn't noise exist regardless of whether or not a USB audio channel were open and active within the system?
Has anybody experienced problems with USB-related noise in an audio system?
The purist in me is going nuts!

I had the same problem and came here by searching.
Per Rosengren's method solved the problem, but he didn't say how to do it, so I'll try to explain step-by-step for anyone that may venture here.
Open Device Manager (right click on Computer > Manage > on the left side, under System Tools choose Device Manager)
Choose the problematic device in Network Adapters (for me it's called HTC Remote NDIS based device)
Right click on it and choose Update Driver Software...
Click Browse my computer for driver software
Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers
Uncheck the box Show compatible hardware
For the manufacturer, choose Microsoft Corporation
Now you will have two options:
- Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device
- Remote NDIS Compatible Device
I chose the second one and it solved the problem, but if it doesn't work you could try the other one. In my case, the driver that was being used was neither of these, but a special driver from Android SDK ADT bundle.
Pick one and click Next. If a dialog comes up, confirm by clicking Yes.
Wait a few seconds for the connection to restart. If it doesn't work, try disabling and reenabling USB tethering on the phone, or reconnect the USB cable.
I should also note that I'm using a custom Android ROM on HTC Wildfire S (unofficial Cyanogenmod). If you have a stock ROM with HTC Sense, maybe this method may not work and you'll need a proprietary HTC driver.

How to establish connection between two different IP Range

Currently in my office there are two different ip range that we are using one for the Wi-FI(192.168.1.X) & 2nd for local machine & servers 192.168.2.x series ip.
In current situation if any Wi-Fi user(Laptop User) wants to communicate with local machine or server then he has to switch from Wi-Fi to Lan.
So is there any way to provide communication between Wi-Fi & local network.
if this happen then there will be no need to switch from Wi-Fi to Lan, Wi-Fi user who has ip range 192.168.1.x is easily communicate with local machine & server(192.168.2.x).

Are you using Oracle 10.2 in shared server configuration under Windows?
If so it's a driver bug (BUG - Connection pooling with 10g 10.1.3 Preview 4 App Server Oracle suggest to use OCI driver.

hello.im not experienced in computer .but i tried this method nd found it very funny.....i used a program in the window called hyper terminal ..you can reach to it through start up then programs then accessories then communication then hyperterminal .....throuh this program you can connect two compuers only by phone......you will adjust the sender computer to {call} and the reciever computer to {wait for call} these option is present inside the program.....
in the sender computer you will choose the phone number of the receiving computer ...and vice versa {in the sender cmputer{client} you will type the phone number of the recieving computer {server} } excuse me .is this what you want...or im not understanding what is in your mind .....with best wishes for you

it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
