How to establish the connection between crm and r/3

Hi,
Sorry for posting this question in this forum, i did not find any CRM forums.My question is,How to establish the connection between CRM and R/3...in my office i installed standard alone CRM system,but it is not talking to R/3.
Could any one tell me where to find adapters and plugins for this.

Hi, I have a problem. I am working with CRM and in my program I have to access to some tables in R/3 to get some data, I have created a RFC function to get those data (it is created in R/3). In CRM there is a report that use that function but when I use it I get a Dump. I think it is because the connection are not established. I know that I have to go to the SM59 but I don't know how and where I have to create, and I don't know which do the Destination parameter must be.

How to establish the relationship between component and character

I'm using MTO with configurable materials,
I have create class, character, configurable profile,
then i create a sales order using VA01, i enter the FG, and choosed the charaters, but the components do not populated.
Do you know how to make all components can be populated automatically after the characters are chosen.

There is a material A which is working well, i copied material B form A and copied BOM from A.
so now , i choose Obj.dependencies in BOM item, a message pops up saying:
Used more than once - can only be maintained centrally
Message no. CU032
Diagnosis
You want to change global object dependencies locally for an object. However, this is not possible, as the object dependencies are allocated to other objects as well. For this reason, you can only change the dependencies globally using dependency maintenance functions.
Procedure
Change the object dependencies globally in the dependency maintenance function.

Establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent

Dear experts
How to establish the link between equipment and its standby equipmnent in SAP?
For example, I have one pump in a plant and also i have a standby pump installed next to it...now i would like to establish a relation between these two inorder to track them.
I tried linking them as subequipments, but logically that is not sub equipment.
what is the best way to do it?

Equipment & Standby equipments are installed on same Function location.
There are below workarounds for solutions.
1. Use Position Number
2. Use A,B,C indicator with Running & Standby status
2. Use link if it is applicable.
3. Use classification system & provide characteristic as Running / Standby
Further u can assign the System condom which is equivalent to equipment running or stop condition during transactional data creation like order..
If it is running it indicates it is working.
If it is in stop condition then at that time it is in standby mode.

Need to establish Connection between CRM and   Virtual Directories.

Dear All,
I am working for Telecom project.
I have one requirement that we need to establish Connection between CRM and   Virtual Directories.
This is existing in Access management system.( SAP EP environment )
The basic requirement is, with SAP EP environment we are integrating 8 different application. But for all this Application we have a one more system called Access management system (like Basis in Sap). This will validate the user access and BP(Business Partner ) data for users who logon to a different respective application. For all this applications Company data (Master Data) has to provide from CRM and the changes took place for Company data in CRM will be updated in to Virtual Directories .For this service we need to establish Delta mode connection between SAP CRM and Virtual Directories.
Which is existing in Access management system .
   Do we have any standard connectors from SAP CRM to connect and who we can achieve this .

The problem is:
We have a new BW system. The basis people asked me to check the connection between this BW system and the R/3. There is only one client for now(100). I have logged into 100 and tried executing RSA1 to check the connection, but it gave a message box saying "You can only work in Client 000". Then I have treid logging into 000(just to make sure) and tried executing RSA1. Even here I got a message saying "The SAP BW system must not be operated in client 000". Now, I am not sure of what is wrong in clien 100. I am not sure if I have to do some settings before I access RSA1 or any other BW transaction. Could you please help me in this.
Also, I just checked the RFC destinations in BW. There is a destination created for our R/3 and I have noticed that they have given a remote UserID and password for remote login. I tried to check the Remote UserID in SU01 but there is no userID with that name. Could this be a problem?

How does the integration between CRM and SD occur

How does the integration between CRM and SD occur? Is only via ALE and are there config steps in CRM to ensure the correct data mapping between CRM and SD?
So, if I create an order or quote in CRM how is it then created in SD? Or do they share the same data store.

Here is good documentation regarding Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: the CRM Enterprise and the ERP System are two different repositories, If you create the Sales Order in CRM then they will be replicated into SD (using CRM Middleware, BDoc's)

Need help in establishing the connection between BO federator and Oracle DB

Hi Experts,
I am working on BO federator and now I need to establish the connection between BO federator and the oracle db to use this as the source for the federator,
I know we need to download the respective oracle DB connect .jar file from the oracle web site and place it under the drivers section(folder) of the BO Federator.
Now I need to understand what is/are the next steps I need to follow and what are the values for the following parameters which are required during establishing the connectivity while creation of data sources from federator end.

SID:SID is a unique name for an Oracle database instance. -> To switch between Oracle databases, users must specify the desired SID <-. The SID is included in the CONNECT DATA parts of the connect descriptors in a TNSNAMES.ORA file

Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailier like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com. Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

The company whants to move all the information from CRM to SD and work in the future only with SD departament. 5. Are the middleware settings are done in CRM?
6. Last but not the least why your organisation does not want to USE CRM, which is one of the BEST ERP Package provided by SAP.

How can I get connection between VC and back end ABAP system

Hi, I'm developing the kits in the VC platform, and I need to access the back end system designed by ABAP. For example, the system provides some public functions(not web services), and I hope when I click the "search" button, the VC front can call the remote functions and get the data from the back end system. In addition to that, the most important is I must keep the connection real-time. How can I do it?

Each scanned invoice will be stored in Alfresco as a pdf file and we want to be able to display it from the sap 'display FI document' transaction (thru 'environment' menu / Additional assignments/object links).
my question is how to make the bridge between sap archivelink and Alfresco for this display ?
how to customize link between archivelink and Alfresco ? Is it possible with customizing only or is it necessary to buy third party software ?

Apparently you need an interface between SAP and Alfresco that implements SAP archivelink.
Once that is in place you can configure a repository in OAC0.

Our company had an own content repository software. It used KGS SAPALINK to make the connection with SAP.
Furthermore CTAC seems to have done development to connect SAP and Alfresco.
Currently we are looking for a new repository system as well. A couple of weeks ago management decided that within some departments Alfresco will be the standard DMS. It would be great if we could use it as content server as well.

I know we have table called RSZELTDIR which have the values of strcuture name. from here i do not find any link to query technical name.

Hi ,
For structure and query relationship, the structure has to be a reusable structure( a global one). Then you can right click in on the structure name (in BEX query designer) and select the where used list. You will find all the query names where it is being used.
U can also check out tables RSRREPDIR and RSZCOMPDIR for other query properties.
