How to exclude restricted-use batch from batch-determination in backflushin

Hello,
In the Goods-Movement screen during confirmation transaction (i.e. backflushing), we see that SAP has selected some batches that are restricted-use stock.  This must be due to some setting in batch-determination functionality.  We want to know how to exclude restricted-use stocks from being considered in batch-determination.  What setting, in which config transaction, can help us achieve this ?  Kindly help.  Thanks.
- Chetan

Thanks Manoj,
That was a very good information and I learnt something new.
However, I checked, and in that config, we are already "not-allowing" restricted-use stock for MvT-261.  So what else can be used to prohibit its selection during backflushing.  Thanks.

  • How to exclude music and pictures from backing with USMT in SCCM 2012 SP1?

    How to exclude music and pictures from backing with USMT in SCCM 2012 SP1?
    I know we can use config.xml but I m not sure what all steps to take.
    Below is my understanding
    1. Create Custom.xml file using below
      <component context="System" type="Documents">
            <displayName>Test</displayName>
            <role role="Data">
                <rules>
                 <unconditionalExclude>
                            <objectSet>
        <script>MigXmlHelper.GenerateDrivePatterns ("* [*.mp3]", "Fixed")</script>
                            </objectSet>
                 </unconditionalExclude>
                </rules>
            </role>
        </component>
    </migration>
    2. Save as Custom.xml.
    3. Copy it to USMT source files package in both the x86 and x64 subfolders and update the relevant USMT package distribution points.
    I am confused as where in task sequence will we specify the custom.config file.

    Edit the miguser.xml file. The default list is as follows:
    -<objectSet>
    <script>MigXmlHelper.GenerateDrivePatterns ("* [*.qdf]", "Fixed")</script>

    Hi Sam,
    You cannot do this directly as exclusion, but you can include all other values, even as ranges and thus exclude the particular value, else you can also try to do this by writing a routine.
    Hope this helps...

  • How to Exclude a sub directorys from polling using FileAdapter of BPEL Proc

    Hi all,
    I have a BPEL process with file adapter which is polling to root folder .
    I want to exclude File polling for some of the sub folder of the BPEL process.
    How to exclude file polling for sub folder i know the option is available for file name not for folder.
    Thanks
    Phani

    dude, you have to give the exact name of the folder you want to poll to,
    you can also pass the location of the folder at runtime/dynamically.
    In 10 G only single location can be polled by single file adapter
    in 11 g we can poll different folders by single file adapter
    However I doubt that there can be selective polling to multiple folder.

  • How to exclude the Shared folder from TM in Mavericks?

    Hi, I have just moved to Mavericks. I discovered that now I cannot exclude the folder "Shared" from my TM back-up. From the TM preferences I can add it to the exclusion list but it seems that it is not taken in account. Even if I use "sudo tmutil addexclusion -p /Users/Shared" I cannot exclude it. Any idea how to force TM to exclude this folder?

  • CTS+ - How to hide "export using Filesystem" from PI tool?

    Hi experts,
    I have already implemented "How To  Configure Enhanced CTS PI 7.1", now I wonder If it is possible to hide export using Filesystem since I would like to force people using "Export using CTS" from PI tools.
    I have alredy surfing on internet without luck : (
    Could you pleas help with this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Emili
    The Exchange Profile parameters below control whether the "Transport Using File System" option is visible in the transport wizard. If you set the parameters to "false" (without the " and all in lower case) then this transport option will no longer be visible.
    1) com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.transport.enableFileExport
    2) com.sap.aii.ibdir.core.transport.enableFileExport
    If these parameters do not already exist in the Exchange Profile, you can create them and set the value to false.

  • How to exclude the XML declaration from each row of the result set?

    Hi,
    I have a table with an XMLTYPE column and would like to SELECT a set of rows. How can I exclude the XML declaration from each row in the result set? My query currently looks like this, I'm executing it through Spring JDBC:
    SELECT XMLSerialize(CONTENT t1.xmltext) FROM myschema.event t1 WHERE XMLEXISTS('$e/Event' PASSING XMLTEXT AS "e") ORDER BY t1.time DESC
    After selecting, in my application I convert each row into a String and concatenate all rows into one big string in order to parse it into a DOM model. I get a parser exception (org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed) because there are multiple XML declarations in my big string. Of course, I could manually check the String of each row whether it starts with the XML declaration, but it would be nicer if I could instruct the DB not to add it in the first place. Is there a way?
    Thanks!
    -- Daniela

    Hi,
    A couple of options I can think of :
    SELECT XMLSerialize(CONTENT
    XMLtransform(t1.xmltext,
      xmltype('<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output omit-xml-declaration="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="/"><xsl:copy-of select="*"/></xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>')
    FROM myschema.event t1
    WHERE XMLEXISTS('$e/Event' PASSING XMLTEXT AS "e")
    ORDER BY t1.time DESC
    ;or simply,
    SELECT XMLSerialize(CONTENT
      extract(t1.xmltext,'/')
    FROM myschema.event t1
    WHERE XMLEXISTS('$e/Event' PASSING XMLTEXT AS "e")
    ORDER BY t1.time DESC
    ;

    You have to skt the maker of the backup tool. It isn't SQL Server or its tool that initiates the backup commands. It is apparently your Tivoli application (judging by the file path you posted).

  • Experience with using BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT from batch input?

    Forum Experts,
    We have a scenario where we need to update HR Infotype tables in ECC 6.0 using batch data from an HR legacy system as a source.  This will be a daily process, with expected volumes between 1000 and 5000 adds and/or changes.   Does anyone have experience using BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT in this type of scenario?   Especially interested in the areas of performance (run-time) and consistency (problems).
    Thanks,
    Allen

    For updating the IT 1011, we have 6 fields in the BAPI.
    But when I go to PP01, i have only one field in input mode, rest all are disabled for input.
    Even if I fill the values in all the fields, only one is considered for update, and rest all are recalculated using this.
    Can someone please let me know how we can decide this.
    Thanks,
    Surya

  • How to exclude undo and temp from "Tablespace Space Used (%)"

    Dear All
    Is it possible to exclude undo and temp tablespace monitoring from "Tablespace Space Used (%)" matric?
    Thanks & Regards
    Quazi Abdur Rab

    If you use TEMP >=100 as Warning, this warning can still be raised.
    What version of the database is it? If Oracle 10g, Grid Control (the agent) searches the alert table in the database for alerts, so the database raises the alert and the agent just passes this alert to Grid Control.
    If you are using Oracle 10g, you can use the following statement (connected as sys):
    DBMS_SERVER_ALERT.SET_THRESHOLD(
    metrics_id => DBMS_SERVER_ALERT.TABLESPACE_PCT_FULL,
    warning_operator => DBMS_SERVER_ALERT.OPERATOR_GT,
    warning_value => '90',
    critical_operator => DBMS_SERVER_ALERT.OPERATOR_GT,
    critical_value => '100',
    observation_period => 1,
    consecutive_occurrences => 1,
    instance_name => NULL,
    object_type => DBMS_SERVER_ALERT.OBJECT_TYPE_TABLESPACE,
    object_name => 'TEMP');
    This will create the GT (Greater Than) instead of GE (Greater Equal).
    Kind regards,
    Dave
    ps. I'm using GC 10.2.0.3.0, so thanks for the note that 10.2.0.4 doesn't take 100+ values.

  • Remove already assigned batches from batch determination

    We face the following situation:
    At material issue we have a FIFO based batch determination. This normally works like a charm. Only when this batch is already assigned to a delivery, the assigned quantity is not available anymore when doing the batch determination for another goods movement. The delivery is not yet picked, so it is correct that the FIFO availability shows the batch. Only there are no selectable quantities left.
    How would you deal with this situation? User are confused since they have no indication that the batch is already assigned. They just see it as available in stock.
    Regards,
    Ivo Voeten

    can you check in OVZ2 whether you have a flag for no check  for 02.
    The system carries out the following steps in batch determination:
    1) it looks for a search procedure for the business transaction
    2)it searches through the strategy types listed in the search procedure for a search strategy. The first valid search strategy is adopted and all other search strategies are ignored.
    3)it then uses the characteristics from the selection class of the search strategy to look for batches with suitable specifications
    4)it checks whether the batches are available
    5)it sorts the batches that were found and are available according to the sort rule from the search strategy
    6)the system selects a proposed quantity in accordance with the proposed quantity from the search strategy.
    7)the system proposes that batch determination is to run online, providing that the search strategy contains the information
    you problem seems to be in step 4. Your system assumes the batch is availabe while it is already assigned to a delivery.
    In my system such batches are not available, even the stock is not yet picked.
