How to EXCLUDE the photolibrary etc from SPOTLIGHT indexing?

My PowerBook G4 often runs very hot without end; the Activity Monitor shows Finder and mdworker as the CPU hogs. I assume that it is the Spotlight indexing that is causing the constant activity.
In System Preferences>Spotlight>Privacy I tried to exclude the iPhoto Library (and iTunes files) from being indexed, but these Libraries are greyed out, i.e. I cannot choose them.
While it seems that I can exclude the whole Pictures folder, but when in the Activity Monitor I 'inspect' the 'mdworker' process, and choose the Open Files and Ports tab, in the /user/myname/library the iPhoto library still seems to get indexed.
Any suggestions/pointers would be highly appreciated.

I could be wrong but I don't think it is correct. Maybe if you were adding tons of photos every day but even then I'm not sure that that's how spotlight is supposed to operate. I'm curious as to what would happen if you simply removed your iPhoto library out of where it is now and restarted. Certainly there would be no excuse for spotlight to start indexing the library then. Of course you can move the library back to where it was again and when iphoto starts ups it will find it right away or ask you to go looking for it.
You might have some kind of file corruption. Downloading and reinstalling the OS system software might be a way to go.

I have a table with an XMLTYPE column and would like to SELECT a set of rows. How can I exclude the XML declaration from each row in the result set? My query currently looks like this, I'm executing it through Spring JDBC:

After selecting, in my application I convert each row into a String and concatenate all rows into one big string in order to parse it into a DOM model. I get a parser exception (org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed) because there are multiple XML declarations in my big string. Of course, I could manually check the String of each row whether it starts with the XML declaration, but it would be nicer if I could instruct the DB not to add it in the first place. Is there a way?

How to exclude the Shared folder from TM in Mavericks?

Hi, I have just moved to Mavericks. I discovered that now I cannot exclude the folder "Shared" from my TM back-up. From the TM preferences I can add it to the exclusion list but it seems that it is not taken in account. Even if I use "sudo tmutil addexclusion -p /Users/Shared" I cannot exclude it. Any idea how to force TM to exclude this folder?

How to exclude the conditions value from base amount passing to tax procedu

I am having 30 conditions in pricing procedure and tax is calculating on amount of 15th condition but now i am that the amount of the tax should exclude the value of 11th 12th 13th 14th and after excluding the value on the rest the tax needs to be calculated. some people are saying to use Routines. If i use routine what Internal tables are invloved in it. Please help.

you can give '6' in sub total filed .this way BASB of tax procedure will not pick this amount for excise duty, yet sales tax will be calculated on it.
if you dont want any tax to be calcualted yet the cost should get added to material, you may use accruals and account key. in OBYC you can define the gl account for the account key valuation class wise

You cannot do this directly as exclusion, but you can include all other values, even as ranges and thus exclude the particular value, else you can also try to do this by writing a routine.

I follwed this note only (Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 290807.1]) to upgrade my Jre -1.6.0_23 version .Use the same steps to downgrade to 1.6.0_20 (i.e. download the correct plug-in, issue "txkSetPlugin.sh jversion" with the desired version, ..etc).
I given it to application team for testing they come back with some issues telling that some application and users unable to access so requesting to downgrade the JRE to 1.6.0_20 version.What issues? Have you considered upgrading to 1.6.0_24?

In the Goods-Movement screen during confirmation transaction (i.e. backflushing), we see that SAP has selected some batches that are restricted-use stock. This must be due to some setting in batch-determination functionality. We want to know how to exclude restricted-use stocks from being considered in batch-determination. However, I checked, and in that config, we are already "not-allowing" restricted-use stock for MvT-261. So what else can be used to prohibit its selection during backflushing. Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, go to the skin editor (Project, Skin Editor in Captivate 4), select the Playback Control tab, uncheck the Progressbar check box. Leave checked the buttons for play/pause, rewind, forward, back, etc.

Using RIDC, DOC_INFO service returns the docurl with revision flag, which is a broken URL from browser.

The IsJava browser URL returns the DocUrl correctly for the same service as below. Please advise.

Use <b>READ_TEXT</b> function module to get the proper item text of Delivery.
<b>ID</b>: Probably you want 0002 (Item Note), but it depends which text you want Item Note, Material Sales Text ,etc..
<b>NAME</b>: CONCATENATE Delivery Doc. Number + Delivery Item Number (e.g. 0080001729000010)
<b>OBJECT</b>: VBBP
<b>
LANGUAGE</b>: sy-langu or whatever you want.
