1. Find SSH client for windows, then execute SSH with Runtime.exec() on local host with arguments like remote host, auth, command to execute etc.
2. Get SSH client in Java and execute SSH commands on remote host using pure Java API.

Now i am able to execute the power shell script with DSC. I am getting no error when i run , but the script logic wrote inside ( deploying sql incremental changes ) not working . I am using SQLCMD in the powershell script to deploy sql
changes . Can you please elaborate on "script is compatible with DSC" , the script
should not contain write-host cmdlet.... etc something like that.

How to execute a shell script which is present in remote machine using ODI

I have requirement of executing a batch (shell script) which is present in the remote machine.
i have an ODI agent in remote machine as well. I have created agent locally by using the remote machine IP and port.
I am able to test the agent successfully. But when i am executing the package using that agent it is failing with the following error
errorODI-1226: Step Execution of the Scenario REMOTE_DEMO version 001 fails after 1 attempt(s).
ODI-1241: Oracle Data Integrator tool execution fails.
Caused By: oracle.odi.runtime.agent.invocation.InvocationException: HTTP/1.1 500 ODI-1423: Warning connecting to Agent localagent: work repository WORKREP1 is not bound to the master
My Work Repository Name is : WORKREP1
Remote Work Repository Name is:WORKREP_LOCAL.
Could anyone please help me regarding this.
I can't download shell script and run it locally this needs to be run on that remote machine only.

How to call a shell script from a java code

Hello can any one suggest me how to call a shell script from a java program that takes three parameters.
i have a shell script (msp_restore_gui) when i run this script in the command line in a RHEL5 ,SUSE10 and Debian machine it works fine .I even tested to call it from a java program and it also worked fine but when i used the same in a J2ee application where the user when clicks the restore button in a webserver this inturn sends the request to a java file named BackupManager.java where i call the shell script.But here it fails.Waiting for your suggestions.If you want i can put the code also here

How to call a shell script via ODI

Hi,
I need suggestion on following issues:
1) How to call a shell script via ODI?.. I tried using OSCommand utility .inspite of the execution being successful the data is not written into the new file in the desired format. After processing new file is created in the mentioned location but its empty.
2) I'm calling a procedure in ODI to load data into my fact. But once the fact gets loaded i want to update the log details (num of rows processed,num of rows inserted,num of rows rejected etc) in my log table. I'm planning to use a proc for updating but need to know from where can i find these details. Is there a table in work rep which gives me these info like how we get if we execute an interface.?
Please help me out.. Its urgent

Question 1 appears a little vague, please elaborate. If you're looking to capture a return value from the command execution, you will need to pipe the return value to a file, then read from there.
The execution information is stored in the SNP_STEP_LOG table in the Work Repository. You will need to do a series of joins to retrieve the exact table that was updated. Good luck with this...

It's working fine for single statement scripts.But if the script consists of any database processing and some other processing statements,it's not returning the correct exit status of the process.

i have created one java applet. my apache web server is on unix server.
i have created one shell script in same directory where my .class and .htm files reside...
how to run this shell script from applet? it should search this .sh file on server and not on the client browser machine...

I suppose you could make the shell script into a CGI, configure the server to execute CGIs, and then make the applet open the URL of that CGI.

Terminal is trying to auto-execute a shell script

I can no longer use Terminal because every time I try to start it, it automatically runs a shell script I used to have on my desktop and then immediately says "[Process Completed]." I'm not sure how exactly I got it to do this... as far as I know all I did was execute the shell script by associating it with Terminal and double clicking it... but now I can't create a new shell without it automatically attempting to execute it. Please help!

It's hard to help you but what you can do is listening to the outputs of your script, you should read the output stream and error stream and send them to the default console.
