How to execute repair work maintaining inventory and cost

How we can functionally handle repair work while having a track on the stock sent for repair in Oracle inventory. Again we need to manage the cost involved in the repair work also. Please help me to handle this jon functionally.

If you have Oracle's depot repair module, a lot of this is seeded functionality.
If you don't have that module, it becomes a little convoluted to keep track.
A lot of customers create a separate organization to handle repair work. That organization is avg. cost org. The inventory under repair is typically kept in a separate subinventory. That subinventory is made non-reservable so that your orders won't reserve to it.
You create non-std discrete jobs to manage the repair work. You issue material / labor to that job.
It is not easy and it is not perfect. But in absence of Depot Repair, this functions as a workaround.

How can you repair "invalid node structure and invalid b-tree node size"

I have a MacBook Pro 17" and the original install disk is Mac OS 10.4. I have an update 10.6 install CD, but I cannot use it to boot up my computer. My computer had been running on 10.6 when the problem occurred.
It seems my harddrive has crashed. It only boots to apple logo and spins. I have reset the pram. Started up in safe mode with shift pressed down and started up on the start up disk, where I did repair disk and got this "invalid node structure invalid b-tree node size". Then it said repair failed to complete. I tried booting again but it still failed. I thought doing a restore might solve the problem. I have a month old backup with time machine which is on a lacie external drive, but when I try to restore using my original 10.4 install disk, I can only choose the lacie hardrive icon (by dragging) and cannot choose the folder in the backups with the latest backup. When I tried to restore, it says my source is not a valid option. Is this because it is a 10.4 startup disk.
Basically I have two questions: Is there a way to fix my problem without doing a restore and if I have to restore, how do I restore my time machine backup? Will I need to do a reinstall with 10.4 and then update to 10.6?
I really hope to find a way to have my computer back to how it was when it started spinning and if not, at least as it was when I did the latest backup 3 weeks ago.

You should be able to boot to the Snow Leopard upgrade disc — you had to do so to install the upgrade in the first place. If you can't boot to it now, either the disc is scratched or dirty or your drive's lens is dirty; for the latter problem, a drive cleaning disc is an inexpensive, frequently-used and often successful remedy, available at any store that sells DVDs.
Because you're running Snow Leopard now, you should repair your hard drive directory using the Snow Leopard version of Disk Utility, not the one on your Tiger installer disc. If you aren't able to do so even after trying to clean your drive, you could buy and use DiskWarrior to rebuiild the damaged HD directory. But DW costs nearly $100, and though it would probably do the trick, that's a bunch of money. You'll have to weigh its cost against the value of the new or changed data on your drive that hasn't been backed up in the last three weeks. If you can get along without that data, then erasing your hard drive and restoring from your last backup is the no-cost, immediate (as opposed to waiting for a DW startup disk to arrive in the mail) solution.

One of my client who has a full Oracle E-Biz suite in cluding finacials, PO, Inventory, manufacturing and projects is seeking advise on the following issues. In essence the client want's to perform some window dressing which should be out of their books. However, they need to monitor inventory and track costs of the same.
CFM & Repair Assts requirements: (CFM is an American confirmity for manufacturing companies)
The client needs the cost of CFM and RA to be in the system to:
Operate cycle counting. (Material)
Have cost feasibility. Project & Finance)
Evaluate their liability to the customer (Projects)
Evaluate inventory for insurance purpose (Contracts)
Meet special contracts requirement like not to exceed limit.(Projects)
The client don’t want the cost of CFM and RA to be part of their inventory value since it's not their materials.(Finance)
The client don’t want the CFM and RA to affect the material unit average cost.(Finance)

Probably your honest declaration of I am preparing for a demo this week scare everyone off.
You know, it is not that easy to solve this problem unless you have complete knowledge of all UoM in item master.
My suggestion will be: instead of getting other's option, try to change Purchasing UoM, Item per Purchasing Unit, Packaging UoM, Quantity per Packaging UoM in your master to understand how per pound can be set up correctly in your case. If you know exactly how these works, all concept will apply to sales UoM too.

I have to reconcile if data is loaded in table from csv file or not . Hyperlink - How to execute it action function(Java) and then JavaScript

Hi all, I have a hyperlink in a popup window. When the hyperlink is clicked I want it's action function to be executed. This works fine, the problem is when I put java code in the hyperlink's javascript onClick() function, only the onClick() gets called and not the action function.
I need the onClick to close the window and submit the main form and I need the action function to set some session variable.

Hi, thanks to anyone that read my post. I found a solution. I removed the code from the hyperlink's javascript onClick and placed it the body onload javascript function. I also set a flag to true when the hyperlink is clicked and only execute the code in the body onLoad() when the flag is true.

OPM Inventory and Cost Calendars not in synch with GL Calendar

What are the risks to the OPM subledger and GL of not having calenders in OPM the same open/close dates as GL?

Normally there is a sequence of period and application close. After performing period close you are suppose to run the reports to validate and reconcile data. Now if you have closed say inventory period and performing inventory valuation, you won't able to reconcile to GL balance. Closing period helps to keep integrity and find out issues if any.
In ideal conditions it may not matter if two are not in synch, but real word issues (both technical and business) make it very difficult to maintain. Benefits of keeping in synch normally way more than not keeping in synch.

How do we pass the user id and password in report URL

We have one report. The URL of report is as below

I want to configure this in my custom application. Every time when the page executes it ask for username and password. Is there any way to pass the user id and password information through URL parameter?
I have come across the fact, we can pass this in URL by appending the below parameter at end of URL
&NQUser=user1&NQPassword=rock.
But some how this is not working for me, and I am getting the error message –
You are not authorized to view this page
Any thought on this?

I know to add a username when you bookmark you favourites is it ?userid={loginID}, perhaps try this instead. I've never done it for password though.
