How to expand showDetailItem children

Hi All -
I am facing issue in expanding showDetailItem children when there are more than one child items.
In showDetailItem when I drop my task flow as region it expands well. But when I put one more taskflow region it creates panelGroupLayout containing both the taskflow regions and does not expand completely and shows scroll bars instead.
Could anyone please suggest how can I expand both the regions?
I also tried creating panelStretchLayout inside showDetailItem and putting taskflow regions in its center facet, but here again it will have panelGroupLayout, which is not expanding.
Please note: At a time only one taskflow region will be visible.
Regards -
Rohit

Hi -
I could figure it out. I used the panelSplitter and put one taskflow region in its first facet and other in second. As only one region will be visible at a time both expanded completely.
Thanks for the views :)

    Hello
    Finder's container's "expanded" and "completely expanded" properties have long been marked "NOT AVAILABLE YET" under OSX:
    Finder.sdef > Containers and Folders suite
    container n [inh. item] : An item that contains other items
        elements
            contains items, containers, folders, files, alias files, application files, document files, internet location files, clippings, packages.

    A way to expand a given folder is to use keystroke command of System Events to invoke the keyboard shortcut in Finder. Something like the following script.

      kRightArrowCharCode           = 29,
      kUpArrowCharCode              = 30,
      kDownArrowCharCode            = 31,

    set f to (choose folder)
    tell application "Finder"
        reveal f
        tell Finder window 1
            set cv to current view
            if cv = column view then return -- do nothing
            if cv = icon view then set current view to list view
        end tell
        my _keystroke(it, character id 29, {option down, command down}, 0.2)
    end tell
    on _keystroke(_app, _key, _modifiers, _delay)
            reference _app : application reference
            string _key : character(s) to be keystroked [1]

            number _delay : post-delay amount [sec]
            [1] Character must be present on the current keyboard layout. Otherwise, it is replaced by 'a'.
        tell _app to activate
        tell application "System Events"
            tell (process 1 whose bundle identifier = (_app's id))
                keystroke _key using _modifiers

  • How to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by a

    Hi Experts,
    In OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0,how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
    For example:
    In SampleLite RPD, when we drag "Time Hierarchy" and Sales column into the report , and sent it by agent ,it will only display "Total" sales, not show all level value,such as Year,Month,Day.So how to expand the hierarchy column automatically when delivery reports by agent?
    If we expand all levels and save them, it will be ok, however, when we add new data, it will be collpased automatically and not show the lowest level data, requiring Users or Developer to modify this report for expanding the hierarchy. We think it is very trouble, is there any good suggestion or method for achieving our requirement?

    Hi Dpka,
    Is it any difference? I look at the result is same.
    Firstly, you said it is 'Add member of ',
    Now, you said it is 'Keep member of'
    Could you please tell me which options I must select ? Thanks very much.Here is some notes from the documentation to make a better sense of how those two options would work:
    •Selection steps — When you create selection steps, you can add a group or a calculated item in a step. Subsequent Keep Only or Remove steps might reference members that were included in the group or calculated item.
    ◦A group list is affected by members that are kept or removed in subsequent steps, but the group outline value remains the same. For example, suppose the MyNewYork group contains Albany and Buffalo and its value is 100. Suppose Albany is removed in a later step. The value of the MyNewYork group remains at 100, but Albany is no longer listed with the group.
    ◦A calculated item is not affected by members that are kept or removed in subsequent steps, because removals can affect the components of the formula.
    •Groups and calculated items — A step can include a group or calculated item. Groups and calculated items can be used only with Add steps; they cannot be used in Keep Only or Remove steps.

  • How to Expand the Screen of Windows Server 2003 on VMware Server 2 ?

    Folks,
    Hello. Because Windows 7 is not compatible to be installed PeopleSoft PIA, I have to install VMware Server 2 and then install Windows Server 2003, that is compatible with PIA, on the virtual machine.
    But when I open Windows Server 2003 on the virtual machine, the screen of Win2K3 is very small, and its size is about 1/4 of the screen of my computer screen. This is not comfortable to work for a long time.
    Does any folks know how to expand the screen of Windows Server 2003 on VMware Server 2 virtual machine so that its size covers the entire screen of my computer ?
    Thanks in advance !
    Lucy

    Did you already installed the VMWare tools onto your VMWare guest OS ? Generally, it helps a lot to be able to redefine a larger screen definition.

  • How to add ShowDetailItem to PanelAccordion at runtime (Programatically)?

    Hi,
    I am creating a PanelAccordion in a popup programatically.
    I have add & delete CommandButtons in popup, using which i am trying to add and delete ShowDetailItem from PanelAccordian.
    I tried to call a ActionListener on CommandButton to add showDetailItem to Accordion at runtime. But its not working.
    This is how i am trying to implement:
    RichPanelAccordion contactsContainer = new RichPanelAccordion();
    public void BuildUI(){
            RichPanelGroupLayout parentContainer = new RichPanelGroupLayout();
           // Adding button
            RichCommandButton addContact = new RichCommandButton();
            addContact.setText("Add Contact");
            MethodExpression addEx =
              adfUtils.resloveMethod("#{pageFlowScope.contactsBean.addNewContact}",
                            Object.class, new Class[] { });
            addContact.setActionExpression(addEx);
            // Adding Accordion
            RichPanelAccordion contactsContainer = new RichPanelAccordion();
            contactsContainer.setId("contactsContainer");
            parentContainer.getChildren().add(addContact);
            parentContainer.getChildren().add(addContact);
        public void addNewContact() {
          RichShowDetailItem contact = new RichShowDetailItem();
          contact.setText("New Contact");
          contactsContainer.getChildren().add(contact);
          System.out.println("::: Add Contact :::" +  contactsContainer.getChildren().size());
          RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(contactsContainer);
        }While creation of PanelAccordion, i added couple of ShowDetailItems to it.
    After calling addNewContactMethod, its not getting updated with new one.
    I tried to get the children of panel accordion while adding. It is showing zero. To access this PanelAccordion in outside, i initialized panelAccordion globally. I think thats y its showing children zero.
    How to achieve this requirement? Looking for some ideas.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Thoom..

    Hi Thoom,
    First of all, debug your code, and try to pay attention if each request you're doing is creating a new RichPanelAccordion (watching the id of instance). If yes, verify your MB scope (pageFlowScope is better) and test your instance before add:
    public RichPanelAccordion  getContactsContainer(){
    if (contactsContainer  == null)
    contactsContainer = new RichPanelAccordion();
    return  contactsContainer  ;

  • How to expand a PDF text box?

    I have created a PDF exporting the document from word and made it into a form to fill out. When I have created a text box I would like it to expand when there is more words than there is space rather than the text box going into scrolling mode and not showing all the text when printed.
    Does any one else have this problem.
    Thanks

    We have tried to manually resize it however it is reliant on the author and how much they would like to put into the document. I will try and set the text to auto and see if that works!

  • How to expand a tree at a specific node/item?

    Hi,
    we have a tree and the nodes/items were binded to context with this code
    lo_nd_nvccmp = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_nvccmp ).
    lo_nd_tree = lo_nd_nvccmp->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_tree ).
    lo_el_tree = lo_nd_tree->bind_structure( new_item = ls_tree set_initial_elements = abap_false ).
    We want that the tree is expanded at a specific node/item?
    The structure has the field is_expanded of type WDY_BOOLEAN. I think that if the field of the right structure is 'X' then the tree should expanded. How can we find the right structure in the context and change this field to 'X'?
    Code is appreciated.
    Thanks, regards
    Susanne

    Oh, apparently if you try that call right after you create
    the Tree, it will throw a null reference exception. That might
    count as a bug in the flex api...
    If you create a Tree, and give it's dataProvider some xml
    data, and then add it to the stage (addChild), and then you call
    expandItem or expandChildrenOf() right after, you will get a null
    object exception. You have to wait... for something. I don't know
    what.
    I even tried calling _tree.invalidateList() before the
    expandItem, but it will still throw the error...
    I wonder what the Tree needs to wait for? Is this a bug for
    Adobe to fix?

  • How to Expand a Movie Clip

    Hi,
    I want to expand a MC (talking about the size) from the
    middle.
    To be more clear.
    I have a mc with these properties
    _width : 100
    _height : 100
    _x = 50
    _y = 50
    I want when I use a rollover function, to change its
    properties like this :
    _width : 200
    _height : 200
    _x = 50
    _y = 50
    The _x and _y have the same values just want to change the
    _width and
    _height.
    And of course, I would like to the tween effect.
    How to do this with actionscript ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,
    I ve tried your bit of code, it seems that it works.. but, as
    you ve
    mentionned if I want to expand from the center I have to set
    -50 to _x and
    _y..
    In fact, I don't know how to do it.
    Here's my code. (it's not pure :-) I m a newbie).
    import flash.filters.ColorMatrixFilter;
    import mx.transitions.Tween;
    import mx.transitions.easing.*;
    System.security.allowDomain("mydomain");
    var startScale = 100;
    var endScale = 200;
    var speed = 10;
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("my_mc",10);
    my_mc.createEmptyMovieClip("container_mc",99);
    var mcl_obj
    bject = new Object();
    mcl_obj.onLoadInit=function(target_mc:MovieClip):Void{
    target_mc._height=86;
    target_mc._width=115;
    target_mc._x=100;

    0.3,0.59,0.11,0,0,
    0.3,0.59,0.11,0,0,
    0,0,0,1,0 ];
    var myColorMatrix_filter:ColorMatrixFilter=new
    ColorMatrixFilter(myElements_array);
    target_mc.filters=[myColorMatrix_filter];
    target_mc.onRollOver=function(){
    this.filters=undefined;
    this.onEnterFrame = function () {
    if (this._xscale < endScale) {
    this._xscale += speed;
    this._yscale += speed;
    } else {
    this._xscale = endScale;
    this._yscale = endScale;
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    target_mc.onRollOut=function(){
    this.filters=[myColorMatrix_filter];
    this.onEnterFrame = function () {
    if (this._xscale > startScale) {
    this._xscale -= speed;
    this._yscale -= speed;
    } else {
    this._xscale = startScale;
    this._yscale = startScale;
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    var my_mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
    my_mcl.addListener(mcl_obj)
    my_mcl.loadClip("mydomain/image.jpg");
    PS :
    The image that I load from the loadClip has a size 640x400
    pixels.
    That's the reason I resize it to 115x86
    My need is :
    Display the image with a size of 67x50 Pixels and when the
    rollover is
    active expand it (from the center) to 115x86.
    Any help ??

    you really don't need to post all that code, few people will read it, or try to compile/run it.
    just a tree in a scrollpane in a frame is all you need, then add the method/problem to the basic,
    and post that so its only 20 to 30 lines long.
    here's your basic tree/scrollpane/frame, with an expandAll()
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    class Testing
      public void buildGUI()
        JTree tree = new JTree();
        expandAll(tree);
        JFrame f = new JFrame();
        f.getContentPane().add(new JScrollPane(tree));
        f.pack();
        f.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
        f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
        f.setVisible(true);
      public void expandAll(JTree tree)
        int row = 0;
        while (row < tree.getRowCount())
          tree.expandRow(row);
          row++;
      public static void main(String[] args)
        SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){
          public void run(){
            new Testing().buildGUI();
    }so, is your problem with the expandAll(), or with reading the properties file?

  • How  to expand rows in a table by calculated value of a field

    Hi,
    I'm trying to set the rows of an expandable table to follow the calculated value of a field.
    The calculated field comes from two date fields that calculate the number of days and I want my table/row to expand based on that number..
    Is is possible? Right now I have a button that does add an instance  "Admin_Use.Table3._Row1.addInstance(1);" but I want it to be triggered by the calculated field instead...
    Thank you so much!!!!

    Hi Niall,
    Thank you for your reply. I'm still a bit puzzled as right now I have this code in my calculate field (see below) under the calculated event and I'm not sure how to insert the code you sent me as I keep getting syntax errors. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

  • Does anyone know how to expand a backdrop background?

    I had a photo shoot for a recital recently and used a cloth backdrop.  In some of the images, not everyone was able to fit within the backdrop area.  Wanted to know how I could expand the backdrop area in Photoshop so that the images don't look funny.  Please help!!
    Thank you

    Not that this will help now, but my first impression when i look at that image is you could have very easily took 2 photos off the wall and used that as your background and cloned out the rail in an instant. next time prepare yourself a little better and have a plan b in place for situations like this. your backdrop looks like it could stretch another 6 ft if the rod was bigger. your composition is not bad,but you should have known you were not going to fit that many on such a small area. maybe change the wall color to more closely match the fabric to downplay the transition.
