you can see google/youtube says 2160p (2160p: 3840x2160), as 4k on their website. so if thats what they use for that setting, they will probably convert your 4096x2304 to 3840x2160 anyways. it also makes sense if thats a limitation of h264, they would use that resolution for 60fps too.

  • How to export .MOV in desired video pixel size and in a centered format.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SPK2 and Quick Time for Windows Pro Version 7.6.5 the latest release.
I have a series of Quick Time .mov files which were shot at HD using a Canon Mark II EOS 5D camera. In total its about 28 GB of .mov files seperated into 78 different .mov clips. The movie inspector says they are .H264 format at 1920 x 1080 pixels
When I look at the QTM Other Properties Visual Settings it tells me the .mov Transformation for Normal, Display and Scaled is 1920 X 1080 pixels. I have checked 'Preserve Aspect Ratio.
I have figured out that I can drag all the individual clips into QTP thus making a single complete movie so to say. However, I have not been able to figure out how to convert this into a mpeg file (compressed ) that will display normally both on a PC when burned to DVD or to play on a standard DVD player or even play at the correct size on a PC.
    *Playback size not correct:*
It also does not display at the requested size when the mpeg file is played natively on the PC wheter using Video Lan, Windows Movie Player, or just clicking on the file and letting IE open it. Their also seems to be a centering issue in which the movie is not centered in the playback window but rather is positioned in the upper left corner, theirby leaving white space to the right and bottom of the player. The original .mov file which I can view in QTP does not have this problem. In fact I have to use the Half Size option so as to view it entirely other wise its too large for my standard PC display.
I want the completed movie to appear similarly to what one would get if they were to purchase a DVD movie at the store.
I have gotten it to export in two different sizes reducing down to 256mb and 576mb respectively but both resulting mpeg files display smaller than I desire. The larger one is suppose to be displaying as 1280 x 720 pixels but does not appear to be doing so It appears more like 640 x 480 image. Also neither finished mpeg shows centered in the playback screen.
My Export Options are set as:
    Movie to MPEG-4
    File Format: MP4
    Video Format: MPEG-4 Improved
    Image Size 1280X720 HD
Preseve Aspect Ratio using Fit Within Size
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Key Frame: Automatic
    Resync Markers
Yes, I also tried one using the H264 option at the larger 1920 x 1080 HD format which should be the native QT format according to the movie inspector properties and likewise it does not correctly in size and in fact is blurry.
How does one take a .mov file and convert it so that it can be
centered correctly, burned onto a DVD and play like a commercial DVD does.
I have also tried Womble.com MPEG Video Wizard DVD 5.0 which does make a DVD which will play on a PC with the same incorrect video display image settings. It will not play on a DVD player.
    Thanks for your assistance.

    SOLUTION
I discovered that the begining graphics of my video which were set at 1280 x 720 pixels were causing the entire video to be reduced in size. I recreated the opening graphics at 1920 x 1080 pixels added in about 90 frames of each graphic ( 3 seconds each ) and the video now converts to mpeg4 at 1280 x720 pixels filling the video screen.
Later on I will test it at the full 1920 HD conversion and report back what I find.

  • How to export h.264 interlaced video??

hi, my situation is the following: i have a full hd (1920x1080i50) camcorder which gives me just interlaced video clips with 50 half frames per second in AVCHD. i dont want to deinterlace the material, cause it taks too much time, the quality looses and the filesize is doubled (if i want to keep every frame).
i want to cut it with imovie 08 and then export it back into h.264 in interlaced format. (because i want to burn it to a data-dvd and play it in a playstation3. and h.264 is the only full hd format, which the ps3 is able to play, i think).
but in the export preferences i cannot choose between the options "interlaced" or "progressive". and the export with quicktime as h.264 or mpeg-4 is always in progressive mode, ignoring the interlaced material. the result is a progressive video with 25 full frames per second showing 2 half frames mixed together in one frame with the typical "interlaced-lines-error" or in germany we are talking about the "picket-fence-effect". it seemes that imovie does not identyfy the interlaced video automatically.
the imported videos from the camera are definately imported by imovie as interlaced video. i can check it in the quicktime player by turning on the "deinterlace"-option. quicktime playes the video deinterlaced, the "picket-fence-effect" dissapears. if i do it with a exported h.264 videofile from imovie, nothing happens when i turn the "deinterlace"-option on. the "picket-fence-effect" does not dissapear.
today i already loaded the quicktime update, but i still can not export in mpeg4/h264 interlace.
can somebody help me?? i spent already several days with exporting, searching the internet and burning dvd-rs.
    thanks

You should give MPEG Streamclip a try:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
In this program, interlace/deinterlace is an option for MPEG-4 conversions, although I haven't used it myself.

  • How to export and/or converting video to flash

I'm having a problem finding a way to make a flash video file. I'm using FCE 3.5 and cannot seem to export my video to be a flash video file. Is there a way to export with FCE 3.5 to flash?
Also since I've been having this problem, I thought I could perhaps export my video as a mov file, and then convert it to a flash file, but I haven't had much luck finding a way. Quicktime pro doesn't seem to do it. Is there a way to convert mov files to be a flash video file?
I appreciate any help in letting me know what my options are and/or steps to achieving those. Thanks.

You need Flash itself or a .mov to .swf converter. You can google to find the converters. ffmpegx can do it.

  • How to Export Subtitles as a Video Overlay by Itself or ...?

    Hi all,
I have Encore CS5.5 and I have a hi-def project (1280x720).  My goal is to create a high quality hi-def video with subtitles permanently on in a single MP4 format video file.  ie: I do not need to create a dvd or dvd image.  Two hypothetical ways I can think of doing this would be:
    1)  Export the subtitles, on their own, in Adobe Encore to a single video file, and then add this file as an overlay video track in Premiere, and export the whole thing into what ever format you like.
    2)  Have Encore export the project as a single hi-def video file, with subtitles on. (not as a video dvd or flash dvd folder)
From what I've seen, the first option simply does not exist.  The second option can produce a flash dvd folder, but not a single file.  Is this correct?  Are any of these options viable, or is there another way to do this?  (I imagine I could export to a dvd or blu-ray, and then use a separate program to rip the dvd or blu-ray (with the subtitles on) into a single video file, but this seems like a hassle and will result in lower video quality)
    Thanks in advance!
    Ricky Roma

I am afraid this is not possible with Encore too. This is because Encore does not composite the subtitles onto the video. It exports them as images in the output file structure and then displays them on the fly while playback.

  • How to Export in 60fps for 29.97 NTSC

I made some animation in after effects where there is a lot of fast movement. Now when i export it in 29.97 fps it jerks in places where the movement is very fast.
I tried changing the composition settings to 60fps and exported it in NTSC 29.97 fps and the jerks were still evident. When i changed the export setting to 60fps then the animation became very smooth.
I wanted to know how i can keep the animation smooth, but which is playable on NTSC 29.97 tv screens.
(I have noticed animation on many channels where there is a lot of fast movements, but there are no jerks. how can I achieve this?)
    Thank in advance

    >I am viewing it on my monitor and the output will be aired as well as
    >available online. so it needs to work on both.
That's somewhat of a contradiction. Fields will always look jerky on the computer whereas the same is true for progressively encoded stuff on normal TV screens that expect fields... In short: you need two separate renders each with their individual settings. And though you seem to think otherwise, motionblur will actually make the animation look more eye-friendly on TV. If it's too strong, simply reduce the shutter angle. Other than that you can only blame your hardware. Either your discs or the processor are not fast enough to decode the video file or your graphics card is underpowered to handle the required data rates and refresh cycle. Especially the latter can be a killer on an otehrwise powerful system. So check whether you are using hardware acceleration for playback and if al lsettings are correct. Reduce the data rates of the preview files if necessary to circumvent the other issues.

How do I export a 98 min video edited in FCP 7 to IDVD for single disc DVD burning?

Your current settings should match the source material in your timeline. Though, it probably doens't matter what it is as long as your settings are not for a highly compressed format like h.264 or mpeg2.
iDVD should take any all "I" frame format and encode it. (All I frame formats include DV, DVCProHD, ProRes).

  • How to export a Proxy video in MP4 and H.264

What's Proxy file, how does it look like? I know how to export mp4 and compress it with H.264, but what else should be included to make it a Proxy file from FCP6?
    Thanks,
    ZM

A "proxy" is just a lower resolution video file. It can be an MP4, or H.264, or any other flavor of Qt that is lower resolution than the master file. A timecode window burn in would be helpful.
www.imagineproducts.com has a great application that does this for you...automated. ProxieMill will make proxies from either captured media, or P2 cards...VERY useful
