How to export a .swf file being used in a captivate file.

Hi everyone,
I have several flash animations (.swf) being used in a captivate 5 project. I need to use these .swfs in another project but unfortunately the source files seem to be lost. Is there a way to export them from captivate somehow?

Hello!
Thank you for posting on forums.
Please find those animations in library and then do right click to get the export option.
See if that helps you.
Thanks
Parth

  • How do you determine file being used in DVD map?

    Hi
On older idvd projects I sometimes want to check what version of a movie file it is using. I can't figure out how to reveal the information. Specifically, I'm looking for exact name of file being used and its location.
    Thank you for your help
    Phil

You can find that information from within the iDVD project. Open the iDVD project in question. Under the menu bar, select Project Info. You will then see a screen containing information about that project. There is a screen showing all the Media used, with the path to each movie, audio, or photo used in the project. The path begins with the drive on which the movie is located and then each folder/file.
By the way, you do know that an iDVD project is like an alias collection. The actual media are not stored within the project, only information pointing to the actual media files. When you burn a DVD, iDVD gathers the media files temporarily for the burn.
If you rename, move, change or delete any media used within a project, iDVD will be unable to locate the files and will not open properly. Many people have mistakenly saved only an iDVD project, deleting the original iMovies used in it, and have been sadly disappointed to find that the iDVD project no longer has the movie files.
If you wish to save drive space but save your iDVD projects for burning later, you should create a disk image file by doing 'save as disc image' from within your iDVD project. This process looks just like a burn, and the encoding takes just as long, but the end result is a disk image file, not a burned DVD disk. The disk image file is self-contained; that is, all the media files used in the project are encoded into the disk image file. So now you have a disk image file of your project that can be saved, moved, used to burn DVD disks at any time.
You can safely delete the original iMovie project and the original iDVD project without losing the capability of burning more DVDs of the project.
I have disk image files of all the iDVD projects I have made. I store them on external drives as backups.

Your OS might provide a command to support this question like '"netstat".
Besides, on Unix the pseudo-file system /proc is also useful.

  • Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?

    Hi
After compilation of a java program, it creates a class file.
After getting class file suppose class file has been deleted.
Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?
    Thanks in advance.

get a decompiler and run your class file through it--I'll assume you want the source code back and that you are not trying to recover a missing class file by attempting to use the class file that is missing--if it's missing, then I've not a clue on how to get it back by using what is already missing.
BTW: many of your compilers have source control--if it does, just restore your missing file.

Try looking at this link, it's long but there's three different solutions discussed in it. If you look at Barbara Boehmer's

    Hi,
I'm trying to change email address on my Apple ID since the email registered for the account has been hacked and I can't access it anymore. The email I want to change to is connected to another Apple ID I created about 4 years ago, though I successfully changed the email on that account as well. So the email I would like to use for my main Apple ID shouldn't be "locked" anymore.
Though, when trying to change the email on my Apple ID I get an error message (in Swedish, so this is a direct translate from google): "This e-mail address is your email address for notification. It can not be used as the Apple ID or primary email. Choose a different address."
I'm not really sure what this means or how I can fix this.
It means exactly what it says... The email Address is in Use. You cannot re-use it.

  • Can't get shuffle to update says files being used

i cant update says files being used by other application,i just bought this there is no other application being used.im about to return it

If you have some utility that runs in the background and monitors mounted volumes, such as anti-malware software, you may want to disable it while doing the update.  Or, if you can set it to ignore the iPod's "disk" (not monitor it), that may work.
Restart your computer.  Immediately run iTunes and connect the shuffle.  Try to do the update again.
In case that does not work, do you use a Mac or Windows?  If it's Windows, what version?

You don't need to copy the cert out of your configuration. OpenSSL has an "s_client" subcommand which can open an SSL connection and verify the cert for you. It even knows how to do STARTTLS. Something like this ought to do it:
openssl s_client -starttls smtp -CAfile /path/to/ca/file -connect your.ironport:25
The /path/to/ca/file is necessary to provide openssl with a cache of root CA certs. You could use -CApath instead of -CAfile if you have a hashed directory of root CA certs instead of a single file containing them all.
You can also point this at your partner's SMTP server as well.

  • Simple Question: how to export a SWF?

Hi, i'm quite new to Flex and Flash Builder (have over ten years of Flash experience tho), am on a fast track to learning, and I'm generally unclear about the way to use FB to publish projects (in Flash it is very straight forward).
I'm working on my first FB project for a client, and the situation is a bit unique: I've created a new project, yet, there is no need for the MXML file in this situation, as we have a server side application that utilizes just the product SWF in a much larger remote Flex framework.  So, when I make updates to the local project, I just want to export a new SWF from compiling the ActionScript class files I have created, and then upload the SWF to the remote server for testing.
Yet,when I attempt to simply run the project locally (to export a new SWF), I get errors that I assume are due to the inappropriate use of the MXML file (which is generally blank), and it is not relevant the rest of the ActionScript files (and I do not need it to be).
I have examples of other related projects that have no MXML file at all, so when I tried removing the MXML file, I get an error that simply says: "The file cannot be launched".  And in fact, when I moved the MXML file back, I now get the same error.  It's really hard to know what's going on here.
I thought of setting the primary AS file as the "Default Application", yet the menu option for that is not allowing me to (greyed out).
Can anyone help me understand what to do here?

Okay, yes, I created an ActionScipt project.  Yet, I'm still wondering how I have the project produce a new product SWF?  When I either run or debug the project, it will show me the results running in a browser, yet the SWF file does not appear to be updated (if I look at the publication time of the file, it is still showing the time that the project was created, not the time that i just ran the project).  What is up with that?

  • OUI patch install hangs, files being used by another application

Hi when a patch install hangs, and the OUI error message is that files needing to be reinstalled are being used by another application, how can you identify which files or processes are responsible so that they can be shut down? All normal Oracle services and DTC are shut down already.
This is patch 6810189 upgrade to 10.2.0.4 (from 10.2.0.3) which includes the April CPU on a Win32 server.

Please check any oracle service is still on ..
need to shutdown listener/oracle service .. and other db service belongs to Oracle.
You can download windows process explorer and check for any oracle process and kill those and then apply CPU

  • Failing capture - file being used by another process.

    Hi there.
So i have a IBM system x 3550 m4 booting from SAN Windows server 2012.
I'm trying to capture an image using MDT 2012 installed on windows server 2008 r2.
The first try to capture failed because of lack of proper network driver in WinPE. So i've managed to boot again in the system (the PE after restart was giving me a 0xc000000f bsod). I've put drivers into boot image and started a second attempt to capture.
There was a strange thing: the process was stuck very long on bcdedit sub-tasks (as were lagging the interactive bcdedit calls i've tried to do from command line). But nevertheless it managed to reboot and almost finished capturing but crashed at 83% with

  • Trying to export to .swf but keep getting an .html format file

    Surprise surprise, I'm confused again.
I am trying to export a Keynote '08 slide presentation to .swf to enable it to play in my web site. When I look at the exported files, it has the .swf extension but the info for the file shows it as a html document. when I upload it, it won't play and I get the message that QuickTime can not open that file type.
    Any ideas please?
    Cheers...Scotty

SWF stands for Small Web Format and, nowadays, is used to embed a flash video into a browser viewable document.
More details about SWF here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SWF
The .html file simply contains the link to the .swf document so you will need both the files to view the presentation inside a browser, i.e. open the html and you will be presented with the video.
I know that some .swf play directly but the right way is to use the html file or better, it's possible to make a swf self running but not all the applications act this way.
Don't forget that without the flash player browser plugin the file will not be visible.
    cheers

  • How to find out QT Components being used?

I was helping a friend out and saw that they had two quicktime components installed that handled the same type of video format.
I got curious. How does Quicktime determine which one to use or prioritize over another?
    Is there anyway to tell?

"Many duplicate codecs are completely ignored"
Hmm.. that infers a "sometimes" scenario where the end user still doesn't really know what is being used.
Perian itself installs in the users Home/Library/Quicktime (no choice as far as I can tell) and if it get's a better "nod" by Quicktime then perhaps there is a component path at work here?
Does QT search in order for components in Home/Library/Quicktime -> HD/Library/Quicktime -> /System/Library/Quicktime and will use whatever it matches up with first?
If so then that would at least establish some priority (eg use "this" over "that") and could be used to debug.
Any caching of these components going on or are they always looked at before playing/encoding something?
Installing, Uninstalling, and/or moving codecs around are debugging steps but in the end there must be a better way to find out what is going on without going through this.
The component resource files give a clue on what the component is and can handle. I've been looking at that as a means to catalog what is installed. If the component path is being used then that helps in narrowing things down. This still won't give the definitive answer for "duplicates" in the same directory but would provide more information than what we have now.
Still haven't found any Quicktime docs refering to deploying components and what the guidelines are but still digging.

  • I have more than one version of GR5 on my mac. How do I know which is being used by logic 9?

Hi, I'm new to logic pro and would realy appreciate some help. I have several versions of guitar rig 5 on my mac. How do I find out which one is being used in logic.
I looked in plugins and see a version that is only 109 mb but I have another that is over 500 mb on my desktop. Can I just drag and drop this into plugins folder?
Sorry if I seem a bit stupid but I can't make out what is being used as the one called up in logic seems to be the full version.
    Thanks

The presets from earlier versions of GR should all be in the same place anyhow.. so reinstalling GR5 into it's correct locvation shouldn't affect anything regarding those other presets. In fact, as far as I can recall.. GR5 should ask if you want to import older presets when you first run GR5 standalone (The app version of GR5 in your applications folder) after install....
Then those same presets should be present in in the AU version of GR5....
Also GR4 (So long as you updated it to the latest version via the Service Center) should also continue to work with Logic Pro anyhow.. and load when you load an older project which used that version....
Finally, any version you may have installed elsewhere.. won't work with Logic Pro because LP uses the AU Component version that is installed by the NI installer and therefore located in your components folder...  Those other versions are more likely to be copies of the standalone version.. which LP9 doesn't use.
