How to export an edited video to ...?

How to export an edited video to a pen drive or an external Hard Drive from FCP X? Thanks

It depends on a lot of factors like what the capabilities of the computers are and what quality you need and what you want to do with the video in addition to just playing it back. I don't know what's appropriate for you. If you select Computer you'll have few options. Vidoe and audio will give you more options to maintain the quality of the output.

    Hi, Neil.
    In sequence settings, the dimensions are 2560 x 1600. I made a screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lo8im1m7lfa710a/Sequence%20Settings.png
When I export the edited video, I choose "Match Source - high bitrate". I also made a screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oqo4ngrk0jdmupk/Export.png

  • Video Format Total Solution: How to Convert and Edit Video on Windows/Mac

More and More video formats are coming out with different video encoders and it makes our spare time more and more colorful. However, it is not to say that there is no problems. Actually, different video formats make it difficult to share video with others, even your own camcorder and iPod. Is there an easy way to convert videos effectively. Yes, there is.
In this article, I will show you guys how to convert videos on windows and mac.
Part 1. How to Convert and Edit Videos on Windows
For Windows users, you need a Video Converter(http://www.aiseesoft.com/total-video-converter.html) to do that for you.
Here I use Aiseesoft Total Video Converter(http://www.aiseesoft.com/total-video-converter.html)
Step 1: Download and install Aiseesoft Total Video Converter
After you download it to your computer, double click it and it is really easy to install.
You just need to click “next” and it will complete it in seconds. It will automatically run after installation.
    http://www.aiseesoft.com/images/guide/total-video-converter/screen.jpg
    Step 2: Load Video
Click “Add File” to find the video that you want to convert and click “open”. It will be loaded automatically.
Step 3: Select the target to decode
In the “Profile” drop download list you can find your target according the usage of your output video, such as if you want to put the video on your iPod touch, you can select the “iPod” in the first list and “iPod touch 2 MPEG-4 640*480(*.mp4)” in the second list.
    Step 4: Set Advanced Parameters
After you select the right output profile, you can click “setting” button to set your advanced parameters. You can adjust video and audio settings separately. In video section, you can change “video encoder”, “resolution”, “frame rate”, “video bitrate”In audio section, you can change “audio encoder”, “sample rate”, “channel”, “audio bitrate”If you want to save this profile and settings and use it next time you can click “save as” button to give a name to it. And the next time you want to use it you can find it in the profile list named “user defined”.
    Step 5: Choose a Destination
To browse and find a output folder for your output files or just the default one.
Finally, Click “Convert” button to begin your conversion, here in the converting
interface you can choose “shut down the computer when conversion complete” or “open output folder when conversion complete” or you just do not choose neither one.
Tips: How to Edit the Output Video
This video converter is also a video editor, you can use it to edit your output video as follows:
    http://www.aiseesoft.com/images/guide/total-video-converter/effect.jpg
    1. Effect:
You are allowed to adjust the “Brightness”, “Contrast”, “Saturation” and you can choose the “deinterlacing” to make the video more enjoyable.
    2. Trim:
In “Trim” section you can pick up any part of the video to convert.
There are two ways to select the part of the video you want. One is set the start and end time in the box. The other one is to drag the start and end button in the processing bar.
    3. Crop:
This function allows you to choose a certain play area to convert. That means you can choose a part of the screen you like to convert. For example, you just like the tv in the middle of the screen, then you can drag the frame around the preview window to select the tv and the output preview will show you the output video. In this section you can also choose the “zoom mode”, such as “keep original”, “full screen”, “16:9”, “4:3”.
    4. Watermark
In the section, you can add a watermark on the output video to show people something, such as your name, website, studio name or other things. The watermark could be words and picture. You can adjust the transparent of the watermark easily to make it more beautiful.
Part 2. How to Convert Video on Mac
This time you need a Video Converter for Mac(http://www.aiseesoft.com/video-converter-for-mac.html)
    Step 1: Add File
Click “Add File” button to load the video you want to converter
    http://www.aiseesoft.com/images/guide/mac-video-converter/steps.jpg
Step 2: Choose profile and adjust settings
You can find your output video format from a drop-list called “Profile”You can also adjust the specific settings of the output video, such as “Resolution”, “Bitrate”, “Encoder” and so on.

  • I want to break up my hour long video in iMovie 11 into smaller 15 minute segements to upload to youtube. How can i put EDITED VIDEO in new projects in iMovie?

I want to break up my hour long video in iMovie 11 into smaller 15 minute segements to upload to youtube. How can i put EDITED VIDEO in new projects in iMovie? (each 15 minute segment to iMovie)

In iMovie's Project Library view (where all your projects are listed), click on the name of your project (don't double-click to open it, just single click to highlight it).
From the Menu select File > Duplicate Project. A copy of your project will be placed in the Project Library. It will have the same name as the original, but with a number appended. You can rename it if desired - click on its name twice (not double-click) so that it is highlighted as light blue, then over-type it.
Delete from the duplicate all the clips and other media (for example, photos, music and so forth) that you don't want included in the first of your 15 minute segments. In other words, delete all but the first 15 minutes.
Continue creating duplicates of the original (and rename if necessary). Delete from each duplicate all the unrequired parts for each segment. So, for example, for the 2nd duplicate delete the first quarter (15 minutes) and the 3rd and 4th quarters.
You should end up with 4 duplicates with separate names, each containing the required segment. You will also have kept intact the original one hour movie, which you may wish to use independently of YouTube (maybe for burning a DVD or playback through a Media Player).
Note that duplicating the original project will not take up much extra space on your drive. Projects reference (link to) the associated Event (or Events) in the Event Library - they don't actually contain video as such. The project file also keeps track of titles, transitions, effects, music and so forth that you've added to the project.

  • How to export my finished video into facebook ?

I really dont know how to export my 30 min film into facebook any idea,s please...Thanks...

In FaceBook, start a new status update on your wall. Click "Attach" and select the Video Icon (2nd from left). Click "Upload Video". Click "Choose File". Navigate to your movie file.
Note: You will need to edit your movie. Facebook has a limitation of 20 minutes for Videos they host there. Or you can split it in two and post Part 1 and Part 2.
To split it, select your movie in the Project Library List in iMovie. Right-click on the name and select "Duplicate". You will now have two copies of your movie. Name one My Movie Part 1 and the other My Movie Part 2 (for example.) Then in Part 1, eliminate the scenes and the second half of the movie. Etc.

  • How to export a Proxy video in MP4 and H.264

What's Proxy file, how does it look like? I know how to export mp4 and compress it with H.264, but what else should be included to make it a Proxy file from FCP6?
    Thanks,
    ZM

A "proxy" is just a lower resolution video file. It can be an MP4, or H.264, or any other flavor of Qt that is lower resolution than the master file. A timecode window burn in would be helpful.
www.imagineproducts.com has a great application that does this for you...automated. ProxieMill will make proxies from either captured media, or P2 cards...VERY useful

  • How to Export photos and videos from Mac to iPhone?

    Hi everyone,
I was trying to export a video from my Macbook Pro (Mid 2014) running latest version of OS X to my iPhone 5 (running iOS 8). I have tried everything in iTunes and iPhotos to be able to export Photos and videos to 'Photos' icon in my iPhone, but haven't got success so far. It's easy to do in a windows computer just copy and paste but I don't know how to do it in a Mac...
Could anyone here help me with that??
    Thanks

running latest version of OS X
Is that MacOS X 10.9.5, or have you upgraded to a Beta version?
I have tried everything in iTunes and iPhotos to be able to export Photos and videos to 'Photos' icon in my iPhone, but haven't got success so far.
What are your settings on your iPhone for iCloud?  Have you enabled iCloud Drive and iCloud Photo Library?
Then you are out of luck. With these settings, syncing of photos with your iPhone is disabled, so you can no longer sync with iTunes.
And the Photo Stream is behaving buggy and will not sync from your Mac to the iPhone.
Try, if disabling these settings and restarting the iPhone will help.
Otherwise, mail the photos or put them into Dropbox, until you can upgrade to Yosemite and iCloud Photo Library on your Mac.

  • How to export proper HD video?

Hi all, I am new to FCE.
I am importing and edited around 2 hr HD video and want to export as normal DVD. but I got trouble when selecting the format to export. when choosing "Quick time Movie" the output is around 11GB! thats too big to put into a DVD. when choosing "quick time conversion" and select " APPLE TV", the quality is okay but thats 4:3 only, my client want a output of 16:9. finally I try the "quick time conversion"/quick time movie/option/and choosing Pal 720 x 576 16:9, the size is 16:9 but the quality is very poor. could any one can suggest a best out put format for my case??
my client is chasing me, hope someone could help me, thanks!!!

That's correct. That's what I said. That's what the DVD authoring application does; it compresses the ideo to the correct MPEG-2 codec for DVD delivery. What is your authoring application? iDVD? Toast? Something else? This has been discussed a lot on all the Final Cut forums.

  • How to export 1080 HD video to MPG4 file with chapters?

Now that I have put a sequence together in FCE, how do I create a 1080HD MPG4 file that can be used on a PC, MAC or with the WD HD Media player (for those that know the latter).
    Thanks!

That process will work, but won't give you HD video (as iDVD output is only SD). If you have FCE and Quicktime Pro, you could create what you are after.
    1) In FCE, use File->Export->Quicktime movie ... (and include all markers) -> File1
    2) In FCE, use File->Export->Using Quicktime Conversion ... -> File2
    3) Using Quicktime Pro open File1 and File2, extract the chapter track (text track) from File1 and then add it to File2.
    4) Using Quicktime Pro make the newly added text track in File2 the chapters for the video track. Save the result a self contained QT movie file.
You will now have a a HD video file with chapters.

  • My Imovie '09 quits unexpectedly every time i Export a edited video

Im having alot of trouble trying to export my video's using Imovie '09. I have never had a problem with this until a month or so ago.
When im done editing my video i go to export it, and after 15 sec it just quits... It has never done this before and is really annoying. I have already re-installed it and im still having this problem. When i import a video i want to edit and without doing anything to it i export it, it works. But when i edit it, and try to export it, it quits.
    Any idea's?
    Thanks.

So when you create a New Project drag an Event to the Project timeline, make no edits and export no problems? But the moment you make an edit, quit iMovie and re-open it and try to export it, iMovie crashes. Do you get a Crash Log that appears once iMovie Quits? If you can cut and paste the Crash Log into a Discussion Group posting that might give us more info one what part of the OS is involved apart from iMovie (for instance QuickTime).
Also some preventive maintenance that might help is to go to the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder and run Disk Utility, Repair Disk Permissions and restart your Mac.
Then go to Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iMovie8.plist and move that particular file to the trash.
Start iMovie create a New Project, Drag an Event clip into the timeline, make 1 edit (add a title or split the clip). Quit iMovie and then re-open it again, try to Export that one Project and see if it crashes after 10-15 seconds of working.

  • At a total loss how to export IPhone 4 video To My PC

I've read and posted in various threads and looked all over the net. I admit I'm at a total loss as what I'm doing wrong at this point.
I want to take the video from my Iphone and move it to my PC so I can upload it in HD to youtube.
I've made sure to make sure my phone doesn't sync right away, gone to the my computer and click on my phone (shows a camera), then copy and paste or drag. When it moves it over it say 0 bytes.
I'll even post a link a buddy of mine sent and if you look at step 9 it says the videos should be quick time files. Mine says nothing where it says file types.
    http://www.notebooks.com/2010/06/29/how-to-get-hd-video-from-you-iphone-4/
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Like I said I'm at a total loss.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but I ran across the same issue. When I tried to pull the videos off the phone in windows, it would hang during the transfer, or not transfer at all. My photos and videos are kept on an external drive and I was trying to copy to that external drive. I copy and pasted the videos into the pictures folder on my PC (instead of the external drive) and it worked like a charm. Once that was done, I just had to drag and drop into the external drive.
    I hope that helps!
