How to export and save a report at server or a remote machine?

Hi,
We have our BOE server XI R2 installed in Solaris SPARC machine. I would like to export the report to Word and then save it in a remote/another machine. Presently our application is showing a save as dialog to client. Instead we want it to be saved in a specific machine.

Thanks for taking sometime to clear our doubt.
We were trying the solution your solution but still we had been thrown the save as dialog.
Let me clearly state the problem which we are facing.
Presently we are able to redirect user to BO server which in turn shows a save as dialog in client's machine. What we are trying to do is to run report at specific time---> exporting to word -
> saving it on a particular machine and mail the users location or a url which authenticates and redirects user to the file.
FYI We have a Business Objects Enterprise(server) XI Release 2 server installed on Solaris.

We tried the code you have specified. There was some problem with Business Objects server. On solving the same your code works well.
We are able to save file in RTF format. But when we were trying to convert to PDF and save. RAS server goes down. We dont know the reason.
And where we will be able to find what are the responsibilities of all the servers running in BO XI R2.

FTP_CONNECT                    Connect to FTP server
FTP_COMMAND                    Execute FTP Command
FTP_DISCONNECT                 Disconnect from FTP server

Cannot find the Export menu in Studio...
Please help.

Use Workspace to export Financial Reports in either single format as des files or multiple reports in a zip file.
When the export selection window opens use the CTRL key to highlight multiple FR reports for exporting into a single zip file.
I prefer this way for promoting reports to production.

Hi,
Like I mentioned earlier, you can export documents and presentations to local computers and/or mapped drives.
- Exported documents take ARD extension & presentations take APT extension.
To export the current document, select File, then Export, then Current Document. In the Save dialog box, indicate your local drive/network location to which the file is to be saved and click OK.
I believe- Analyzer 7.2 also has the wizard to let you Export docs. & Presentations.

The migration of any Portal DB provider components, has the following steps.
Assume that you are migrating a form component form_X.
1) Click the export link of the form_x.
(this will take you to create transport screen).
2) Specify a name of the transport set which you are going to create. (eg., "My form_X transportset")
(Since the objects are migrated using a container which is in other words called as 'Transport Set').
3) In that select the export now button.
(this will mark your form component form_X for export).
4) Verify that the status of the transport is 'Extract Complete'
(check with the browse transport screen in Export/Import Portlet under Admin tab).
5) Now, the object information is extracted into transport set tables used by Portal Export/Import Utility.
6) Go to that particular transport set, (browse transport) and download the script available.
7) That script will lead you to various steps,
(create a dump ).
8) In the target instance, import that dump using the same script again.
9) Merge the contents of the dump (form_X information) into any of the application.
(Import option => in the export/import portlet under admin tab).
10) Verify that the status of the transport set is 'Merge Complete'.
Now, the object is migrated and ready for use.

Here are two things you can do to get started.. In 9iAS Release 2, Export/Import functionality is provided via a set of export/import utilities included with 9iAS Portal.

how to export and import on another computer whole database connection with all contents ?
step by step

From the "source" computer do this:
1) Open SQLDeveloper.
2) Right click on the main connections node and choose export connections.
3) Select the connections you want exported and choose a file name and location to save them.
4) Save the file by clicking OK then copy it to the destination PC.
On the "destination" PC assuming you have already installed SQLDeveloper do this:
1) Open SQLDeveloper.
2) Right click on the main connections node and choose import connections.
3) Browse to the connections file you copied earlier and select the connection you saved.
4) Complete the import by clicking OK and you are done.
Mind that this is sufficient only if you have only basic connections, if you have TNS connections you will also need to manually copy the Tnsnames file from the "source" PC to the "destination" PC and set the
Tools -> Preferences -> Database -> Advanced Tnsnames directory
to the directory where you copied the Tnsnames file.

Hi,
I am printing 12x18" images on 13x19" sheets. I find it difficult to enter the 13x19" dimensions because each value jumps to another random value when I move to enter the second dimension. For instance 13 jumps to, say, 8.5 as I type 19 into the second box. Same with the sheet dimensions.
Also, when I finally get it all correctly, the margins don't set themselves automatically - which I would I expect.
Then, even though I save the setting by clicking Save Setting at the gear below, next time I turn Aperture on, it's all gone.
Any ideas? Thanks.

For me, it is working with these settings, Raphael.
Does your image have a 12x18" aspect ratio? You may want to crop it to the desired aspect ratio before printing.
I can only test with Aperture 3.6 on Yosemite 10.1.

The developer of the add-on was not able to help me. The export function gives you three choices of format. The import function does NOT work.

How to export and import albums between libraries in AP2

In AP2, I transfer projects from my travel library to the home master library by exporting each project and then importing it into the master library. All objects created within a project will transfer over.
However, I'm not sure how to export and then import objects that are "outside" of specific projects, for example, an album or smart album that pulls from multiple projects.
Can anyone tell me how to transfer these sorts of objects between two libraries?

So, in other words, you're saying that it's not possible to export directly objects (like smart albums) that reside outside of projects?
I know, for example, you can "export" anything created inside a folder by dragging and dropping the folder to another library; but you then have to rebuild the library to get the new folder and its contents to be recognized. For my library, this takes too much time to do.
