How to export EVS MXF from Premiere Pro 5.5

I'm in the process of delivering a video to a production company that will be airing on CBS Sports in two days. They say they need it in EVS MXF and one of the production guys claims that the MXF formats in Encoder are not what they're looking for. He says the only product he knows of that can convert to the format is "FlipFactory" which is a paid program. I'm in the process of installing the trial version and it's giving me a hard time. I was wondering if anyone knew any workflows or solutions to export 1080p EVS MXF from Premiere. I'm running Windows Vista and the timeline is 29.97 1080p square h.264 mp4 files. Source footage was mostly shot on 5D DSLR and converted to mp4 for ease of editing. Thanks for any help you can give.
Derek

Thanks Joe and Jim. I thought it would be my path to success as well but I can't seem to get the trial version working. After installing all the side stuff, it places the shortcut to install the console on my desktop just as the instructions say. When I double-click on it though, IE will not connect to http://localhost:9000. I assume for some reason it's not connecting to the SQL server that it installed but I'm not sure how to force it. Do you have any tips or pointers on getting this part of the installation process to work? I'd contact support but they're gone until Tuesday morning. Thanks again for your help.

  • How to import effect plugins from Premiere Pro CC to Premiere Pro CC 2014

Many of the Premiere Pro CC plugins I've been using since subscribing have disappeared from the effects panel in Premiere Pro CC 2014. For example, under Video Transitions/3D Motion, the only two listed are Cube Spin and Flip Over. None of the others are listed. I tried importing the Factory Presets.prfpset file from CC into CC 2014, but that didn't do anything. How can I import the effect plugins into CC 2014? Thanks.

  • How to use VST Plugins from Premiere Pro CS5 in Adobe Audition 3.0 ?

I have tried to use VST plugins from Premiere Pro CS5 into Adobe Audition 3.0, but could not use it.Is any method to use them ?

Unless I'm mistaken, you can't do this at all - Adobe lock all their VST effects so that they only work with the app they were intended for. Which also means, of course, that you can't use Audition VST plugins with any other software either. Since Audition isn't currently in the CS, there isn't even an exception there, I suspect.

  • I am trying to export a video from Premiere Pro.  I have both audio and video checked and the sequence is active but only the audio exports.  There is no video at all.  Can anyone tell me how to get the video to export.  It was working fine until today.

Premiere Pro CC has been working fine until today.  I have completed my sequence and it is active.  I have both audio and video checked when I am exporting using H.264 with Match Source Hi bitrate.  I am choosing entire sequence.  The audio exports but the video and title does not.  Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this so I can complete this project?  Please!

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • When exporting 708 captions from Premiere Pro CC I only see the first 708 caption. Help?

Hi, our company just switched from Final Cut Pro 7 to Premiere Pro CC and we went from macs to PCs. I use the CaptionMaker program to create .mcc 608/708 caption files that I import into premiere, and I'm having a problem with the 708 captions. I embed the 708 captions in an mxf op1a file (I'm attaching a screen grab of my sequence and export settings) that I then copy to an XDCam disc, but when I play the disc back and check captions through our QC monitor I only see the first 708 caption and then the rest never appear. The 608 captions are there, but just the first 708 shows up. I've also had this problem when I print to video and when I create the captions in premiere instead of importing a caption file from CaptionMaker. And I was able to see 708 captions on a source that was captioned out of house so I know my QC monitor is working properly. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me to try? Thanks for your time.

I am not sure what product the dubbing house is using to master the tape.  I will try to find out.  As far as the file creation, I am using MacCaption to create the 608 & 708 .mcc file.  Bringing this in to Premiere and exporting out the MXF file.  I have contacted Telestream, the owner of MacCaption, there head of support says that other customers have had the same problem exporting out of Premiere.  They have tested caption files and the files are fine that this is a problem in Premiere.

  • Exporting to AVI from Premiere Pro CS5.0.2 from DVCPRO HD sequence giving only 1 frame?

When trying to export from a P2 1080i 60hz DVCOPRO HD timeline to an AVI, whether going to queue or direct export using AME, it is going through its encoding steps but I am ending up with only one frame of let's say a 2 minute sequence. I've used Uncompressed AVI preset as well as Microsoft AVI preset - both going to 720 x 480.
Happens with and without using Maximum Render Quality setting.  Happens whether I have MPE on or off.
Couldn't find anything in the forum....have the Premiere Pro CS5.0.2 update.  Help.

  • Exporting a sequence from Premiere Pro CC is taking hours

I am new again to Premiere after a 10 year hiatus. I have Premiere Pro CC and as exciting as it is to have the entire suite of products, I feel like resorting to iMovie after trying to export. I was initially getting acquainted with After Effects and solved my render times there after a little frustration, but this seems to be taking me down!
I am creating a "movie" that will be projected on a 4:3 aspect, 20'x15' screen. I created a sequence that's 4 minutes long and it's got a .mov that I rendered from After Effects at the beginning,  then a bunch of still images that each last around 5 seconds with a cross dissolve in between each. In the middle there is another .mov from After Effects (bubble effects).
I created the sequence with settings of: Editing Mode - QuickTime DV NTSC, 29.97 fps.
When I try to export the sequence, I use QuickTime for the format; the preset is NTSC DV. This sets the video codec to DV25 NTSC. I've tried rendering with this codec and changing the codec to mpeg-4. I've also rendered with the quality set to as low as 65% with the mpeg-4 codec.
Each time, the "Estimted Time Remaining" just climbs and climbs. I've managed to get to 13% encoded and the time remaining is around an hour, but keeps climbing with each percent rendered.
    I have a 27" iMac with 3.1 ghz Intel Core i5 processor, 4gb memory and running OS X 10.7.5
If anyone can help me with export settings or a way to decrease the time, I'd very much appreciate it. I have searched for this topic and each solution I found involves exporting for the web.

  • How to send a project from Premiere Pro to be opened on another computer in FCP7?

The crux is I have this project in Premiere Pro CS5.5 which contains the original MOVs and time adjusted movs that I nested and turned into F4Vs, so it contains movs and f4vs with 1 aiff file and I need to send the work to the director(who has FCP7 and works on a Apple computer) so they can key out the green screen and grade it in FCP7. I prefer no to send 1 big file because there are lots of fast flickering cuts so would take alot of time to go through it pretty much frame for frame. So it would be eaier if they could view it as a project file in FCP7 like I can see it in Adobe Premiere Pro. I haven't done this before as you can tell but someone must of tried doing this before so how is it done?
My project settings in Pro are
    Editing mode: DSLR
    Timebase 25.00 frames/second
    FRame size 1920 x 1080 vertical 16:9
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)
    Display Format: 25fps Timecode
    Sample Rate:48000HZ
    Dispaly Format:Audio Samples
    Video Previews
Preview File Format I-Frmae Only Mpeg
    Codec: Mpeg I-Frame
    Width 1920
    Height 1080
Please help I really appreciate any advice, I've tried converting the f4vs into apple pro res but no video converter or media encoder will let me even if i imort the pro res preset.

Duplicate the project with referenced events onto the external hard drive.

  • How do I roll back from Premiere Pro CC 2014.0.1 to 2014.0.0?

2014.0.1 destroys my ability to upload large files to YouTube which I need to be able to do. The functionality was fine before the new .01 which went online Thursday 7/25.
Tech Support advised me to uninstall then stop the re-install at 90%. All that did was cancel my re-install.
I can't believe they broke the YouTube upload as regards large files (greater than 1 hour, it seems). Someone PLEASE try to get back and answer this. I'm dead in the water on an important project. Thanks...
    Jay

No, YouTube doesn't reject it BUT it complains bitterly that the file is not a streaming file and then it won't process it properly. An example is here: Ridgewood, NJ GONDOLIERS Act 1, Connelly Theater May 18, 2014 - YouTube
The video was uploaded using essentially the protocol but with the bit rate reduced to 8Mbps. 16 makes files of RIDICULOUS size (exactly DOUBLE) and contrary to the claims on the page describing the 2014.0.1 upgrade 8 Mbps is recommended unless you have an "enterprise-quality" connection.
I used the word "protocol" to identify the preset where PPro/AME purports to export, say, "YouTube 1080p". My assumption out of the box was that the engineers knew what they were doing. I now believe they didn't test thoroughly before foisting this off on an unsuspecting public.
Here's how I reached my conclusions. That GONDOLIERS (both acts) is a 2 hour 15 minute show. On July 4 I uploaded the full show to YouTube and one of the performers complained about the use of his name. We immediately pulled the video "private" and I agreed to wait a week or so and then re-upload. Note that the original uploaded fine and displays fine. The link I offered you goes to a video that I predict will never display at full resolution; at current time it is displaying at 360p although uploaded in a beautiful 1080p. I had originally uploaded the larger file at 16GB. YouTube complained that the format wasn't streaming, so I ran it through "MP4 FastStart" which usually cures that, but in this case it didn't. Further testing reveals that the MOOV Atom is going in the right place but I suspect it's not being written correctly on larger files, and that YouTube is having considerable trouble as a result. I then re-uploaded it to YouTube which complained, again, but ingested it...but it didn't create thumbnails (the black&white out-of-focus icon they display until processing is completed, was what came). After several hours (like Act 1 above) it hadn't gone above 360p. The original 8GB file created with 2014.0 I had to reset the MOOV Atom using MP4 FastStart but once I did that it worked perfectly.
An early troubleshooting test when I realized there was a problem was to take a 1 1/2 minute excerpt which processed perfectly. No demand to use a streaming format; no problem processing or displaying. The problem comes with files of significant size; 2 hours 15, 1 hour 15. 52 minutes worked okay.
This has NOT been a good weekend. As you read above I had managed to get the older versions of PPro and AME back on my machine. This causes other craziness (the YT full upload is going to take more than 15 hours; due to ANOTHER bug - I think squashed in the newer version - if the CC 2014 file has TITLES from the older CC version, it somehow interferes with processing. My fancy i7-4770K isn't breaking a sweat while this is happening. Usually I'm running at 99% CPU capacity and right now its about 18%. Normally if I see such a throttle-back I assume perhaps a cooling problem but I have none. It's just running beastly slow. I HATE having to work this way...and it doesn't help that it's on a weekend so I can't even get tech involved until Monday.

  • Exporting DPX Sequence from Premiere Pro CS6

I edited a .mov premiere sequence from my 7D and 5D MK II in SpeedGrade by using the "send to adobe speedgrade" option. I exported the grade as a .dpx sequence and brought it back into premiere. Now when I try to export it in h.264 "for youtube hd 1920x1080 23.976", I get a huge loss in color range and blacks become so pixelated and I even lose a lot of darkness in the blacks.
