How to export media with in out marker xmp metadata?

When I export media I can save the markers in the XMP metadata. But I can't save in out values. How can I add them to the XMP metadata?

I have given my filenames descriptors, for instance, 0000100 - Jerry rock climbing in Custer State Park SD.  Importing into Lightroom allows me to display the filename metadata.  Exporting the files generated in Lightroom to Photoshop Elements allows me to then create a slideshow in which I have more audio flexibilities.

Anybody can help me "how to export RTF with paragraph style names?"

It's not something that's natively done with Indesign.
However it's possible that it might be able to be scripted.

  • Exporting Media .AVI audio out of sync

I've got an older AMD 64x2 4200 CPU with 4GB of memory.  I upgraded to CS4 and uninstalled the previous version.  Everything seemed to be working fine but I started to run into a problem where I wasn't getting any audio in my DVDs.  I traced this back to the media export.  Which turned out to be a lack of HD space on my system drive.  I cleaned up a few files but that only made matters worst, it wouldn't render at all.  So I uninstalled everything then resinstalled.  Now it is rendering, but the audio starts to drift out of sync.  After 40mins it is defineately out of sync by at least 1 second.  Any ideas on whats going on?  I've tried using AVI output, now I'm trying WMV which takes longer.

    Brian,
I'm not on CS4, so my encoding won't help. However, several have reported that AME is slow to start. Do not recall if any came up with fixes, or tweaks, but there are several threads on it's speed and on how long it takes to launch and begin. Might be some good info in those threads.
There have also been some issues reported with the DL (Adobe Dynamic Link) in both CS3 and the more robust version in CS4.
When these have occurred, most had great success by doing it the "old fashioned way," Exporting elemental streams for Video-only, and Audio-only, then Importing the Video-only file as a Timeline and the Audio-only file as an Asset. Drag the Audio-only file to the appropriate Timeline and it snaps into place. Might be worth the effort. Remember - multiplexing is turned OFF. Yes, DL should do this for you, without Rendering and Export, but if it does not function, you can still get the Project out of the door. Might want to also look in the Encore forum, as there has been much discussion on CS4's DL'ing. You may have to poke around a bit, as it is divided into several sub-fora. Also, some people post anywhere, regardless of what the question is. Sometimes, the sub-fora are great, but other times they are a PITA. It all depends on the posters.
Good luck with the computer problems,

  • How to export quicktime with timecode burn?

I am scoring a film (in Pro Tools HD) and the editor isn't quite sure how to export the film to a quicktime movie with timecode burned in (i believe that's the term for timecode being visible on the preview...?). I don't know what version of FCP he's on but I was hoping someone could give me some generalized instructions I could give him.
Also, if I have to compress the video to slipstream the processing/reading in pro tools, will I retain proper timecode? thanks!

He would have to change the Timecode offset value under the Filters tab in the Browser.
Find a scene that starts on a hard cut, say 1 minute or so into the movie. Note the timecode.
Your guy then fiddles around with the beginning, making it 6 seconds and 8 frames shorter.
Go back to the reference cut and you will see that its TC has changed by that much.
Adjust the Offset parameter to match. This has to be done by entering the number of frames. You can use positive and negative values as required, which will also cover for the changed scenes turning out longer than they were originally.

  • How to export images with meta data from iPhoto?

    Hi
I have about 4000 family photos which have been scanned and imported to iPhoto. They are all dated the same day, naturally. I'm now in the process of adding metadata to every photo: location, faces, time and year, file name and description.
Once I have gone through every photo, I will put them into albums based on events and the meta data above.
Eventually, I will want to share all these photos with people who should like to see them (and who are not tech savvy...) I'm looking for the best approach to do to this.
    1. Will all the metadata that I have added remain in the photos when I export them?
    2. What exactly is the best approach to export these 4000 photos?
              - As I have gone through all the hard work of sorting the photos in albums, is it possible to export these photos in the albums that they already in?
I hope to hear from someone out there. Thanks a lot
    Best wishes

You need to have an application like  EXIF Viewer for Mac OS X  to check the files once you've exported them with the various checkboxes checked:

  • Make Subclip with In/Out marks not working in FCP6

I've captured HDV media in FCP6 using Capture Now and the master clips are captured are broken up by scene. When I attempt to make subclips using In/Out marks on the master clips I get a jagged-edge icon subclip that contains the entire master clip. The subclip does not contain any In/Out marks. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

That means that you need to contact iTunes store support.  They can provide information about why your in-app purchases are not working.

  • How to export datbase with exp command

    Hi guys,
How to export oracle database using exp command without including tables space names.
    I tried with this
    ./exp username/password file=db-export.dmp
    ./imp username/password file=db-export.dmp full=y ignore=y
But when I try to import database with separate login(username/password) its giving following error for some tables,
ORA-00959: tablespace 'MANUJA' does not exist
MANUJA is my username of first database
    any help ?
    Thanks
    Best Regards,
    Manuja

    Option 1:
    ./imp username/password file=db-export.dmp full=y
    If still error then :
    Option 2:
pre-create your table then import with ignore=y option.
    If still error then :
make sure userB just have one default tablespace (BC) and quota only on BC. So if you have unlimited quota for userB on all tablespaces, then objects will go to original tablespace and not the tablespace you want to put in(to default tablespace).
Revoke any unlimited tablespace privs from userB and just have one default tablespace.
    REVOKE UNLIMITED TABLESPACE FROM USERB;
    imp system/manager fromUser=userA toUser=userA file=myexport.dmp log=myexport.log

  • How to export file with original filename number suffix, but with more digits

Is there a way to keep the original filename number suffix, but change the formatting of the number, adding leading zeros for instance?
When I import photos from my camera I like to rename them, and give them sequential numbers, e.g. "2015-01 Hamburg 1.cr2", "2015-01 Hamburg 2.cr2", "2015-01 Hamburg 10.cr2", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.cr2", and so on.
Normally when I export photos I like to keep the file names exacly as I imported them (except the extension) e.g. 2015-01 Hamburg 1.jpg, "2015-01 Hamburg 2.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 10.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg".
But sometimes I would like to export them with leading zeros, typically when adding photos to a web site or blog where there are sort mechanisms that only support simple sort algorithms based on file names, meaning the sort order of my photos with their original file names would become "2015-01 Hamburg 1.jpg, "2015-01 Hamburg 10.jpg", .. "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 2.jpg".
    So I would like the file names to be "2015-01 Hamburg 001.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 002.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 010.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 134.jpg".
By keeping the original file number suffix I can easily go back to the original file whenever I need to, and the sort order would work even with simple sorting.
The export Filename Template Editor gives quite advanced support for numbering files when exporting, see attached screenshot. There's support for exporting files with custom file names, and adding sequence, total and image number with padding (up to 9999/####). But those add new numbers, they do not consider the original filename number suffix. If I use the "Image # (001)" for instance, my example above would export as "2015-01 Hamburg 001.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 002.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 003.jpg", "2015-01 Hamburg 004.jpg", if those were the four photos I wanted to export, making it hard for me to trace them back to the original photo.
I have found no way of adding such padding on the original file number.
Does anyone know if this is possible or have suggestions for a workaround?
It shouldn't be too hard for Adobe to support this I'd imagine.
export pattern rename files  file_number filename_template_editor

I do not know if you can do what you explained above, but there is a workaround to this (and a way to avoid having to do it in the future):
In the Library module, make sure your images are sorted by Capture Date (this will put them in the right order, even with suffixes like 1, 13, etc.)
Select all images, and then Rename them, using a Custom text followed by a Sequence number. The Custom text in this case should be the original name (such as, 2015-01 Hamburg, as in your example). Make sure the Sequence number is formatted with enough zeroes to include all the numbers in your images.
In the future, when you rename images during Import, make sure you select the Sequence number format that will include all the needed zeroes, so you don't have to go through this again.

  • How to export strings with "\"

When I export a string with backslashes in it (eg. path name to a file) then when this file is imported at run time then backslashes '\' cause the import to fail. So for now I have to replace all "xxx\yyy" strings in exported file with "xxx\\yyy" and then import
of such MODIFIED file goes OK.
But this is tedious - is there another way to deal with it ?

This is caused by the fact that the ASCII backslash character is the escape code specifier, and when the file is read by the import/export properties tool it is treated as such. If you have any character sequences in a string such as "\t" or "\n" these get interpreted as tabs and newlines within the string.
To avoid this behavior when importing you will need to modify the strings in TestStand before exporting them to include the "\\" escape code set to the file. The caveat to this is once these values are read back from the file they will be interpreted as single backslashes. For instance, if you export "c:\\temp", and then import it back you will get "c:\temp". This is simply the nature of the Import/Export Properties tool.
If you do not like the b
ehavior of this tool in its shipping form, you can rebuild the "limitloader.dll" module to include the functionality that you want. Whenever you click the Tools>>Import/Export Properties menu selection, the MainSequence of \Components\NI\Tools\ImportExport.seq is being executed. This has a single step in it that calls the "DisplayImportExportDialog" function of the limitloader.dll. The source for the limitloader.dll can be found in the \Components\NI\StepTypes\Database directory.

  • How can I get Adobe Bridge to show XMP metadata using Adobe Drive 4 CMIS Connector?

I have successfully connected to an Alfresco Enterprise Edition 4.1.0 repository, using the Adobe Drive 4, created a test folder and uploaded a jpeg file containing XMP metadata into it.
When I view the image's metadata (using Adobe Bridge), I observe that only part the standard file properties are displayed.
When I view a local copy of the image using the same, I see all fields of the standard file properties plus available metadata.
My question: what should I do in Adobe Bridge to be able to see all available XMP metadata?

How did you get through to customer service?  They've changed the website and I can't even find phone numbers or a chat button any more.
Here's my story that I posted on discussion yesterday, but no one has replied:
I am screaming and pulling my hair out right now!  The last six months with Adobe has been a nightmare.
Once again I am completely locked out of Creative Cloud and cannot use the apps even though my automatic monthly deduction for payment was just made a couple of days ago.  Creative Cloud continues to reset itself to the trial version which runs out in 30 days and after that I am locked out once again.
Now it looks like it is harder to access support than before.  Where are chat and the phone numbers now?  This was a nightmare with countless hours spent on chat and the phone over the last six months, and now I don't even know how to access support in order to spend even more time that does not solve the problem.  What am I to do?
I cannot use the product I have paid for!
    Please help!

  • How to add to a DNG file, the XMP metadata that transforms it into Cinema DNG ?

    Hello,
I would like to know how to convert a series of DNG files into Cinema Dng ? What I read is that Cinema DNG has more XMP metadata than DNG. Is there a tool to add this kind of metadata ?

It seems that the thumbnail created by adobe DNG converter is a source of problem for Da Vinci Resolve, to recognize a series of DNG as Cinema DNG. So if we could have a solution to remove this thumbnail, hallelujah !

  • How do I deal with flat out lie in an app review in another country?

I just found out how to see reviews from other countries. So I picked Canada first and looked at one of my apps. There is one review - 1 star. The person claims I stole pictures from Flickr and used them in my app. This is flat out untrue.
I have one image in my app and I took it myself while on vacation, ironically while in Canada.
Since I live in the USA I can't log into the Canadian store and "Report A Concern" with the review.
Any idea on how to resolve this?
Anyone in Canada care to post a counter "review" clearing up the situation for me?
    Ugh.

To answer the general point rather than the specific question: this is a very good example why it's better not to read one's reviews! As we all know, the only qualification for writing a review is having a credit card with a billing address in the country in question. Anyone who uses the App Store will quite quickly realise that (a) the quality of the reviews is variable and (b) if someone genuinely had an issue of this type then he'd communicate directly with the publisher or with Apple rather than posting a pathetic one-star whinge.
In general I think we might all benefit if we all, as App Store developers, said something like the following in our product descriptions:
    1. We do not read or comment on our App Store reviews.
    2. We provide a public space where you can post comments and support requests, at http://xxxxxxxxxxx. We read every posting and respond to it in public.
This will not stop nutters from posting weird reviews, but it will make the readers of those reviews think: "if this is a problem, why didn't he post it in the publisher's comment space?" and consequently pay less attention to what the nutters say.
To focus a little closer in to this particular case: it's worth remembering that we are not politicians. Politicians are always anxious that any error or misrepresentation should be corrected "for the record". It seems comic sometimes but for them it's necessary, or someone will dig it out years later and say "well, if it isn't true that you said/did/thought this, +why didn't you say so at the time?"+ But we aren't politicians, and it's a lot easier for us just to leave a lot of stuff alone as being beneath contempt. I've also had reviews that claim the exact opposite of the truth (I know because people have told me about them) but in the end they're best ignored.
The review in question is pretty innocuous commercially, I don't think it would make anyone less likely to buy the application.
As for your own reputation: if you don't like Apple publishing accusations of theft against you, there is a law of libel and it is there for this purpose. Use it. Get the address of Apple's legal department and write to them. Invite them very politely to take down the offending material or publish a rebuttal. It will cost them a lot more to defend the case than it will to take down the review. I once found some stolen IP being offered through an Apple online store, and after a friendly conversation with Apple and one email, it was taken down within days.

  • How to export images with Project Name to be visable by Photo Mechanic.

    Hello all,
I am trying to create another complete set of my images, that can be edited by outside programs (Photo Mechanic and/or Lightroom). I am doing this by exporting the images out of a managed library. I want the Aperture "*Project name*" and Rating fields to be passed to Photo Mechanic. And then I want PM to be able to do queries on the Metadata fields containing the Aperture Project Name and Rating. My intention is to use Photo Mechanic to rename the images and relocate the images but still keep track of the Rating and Project Name.
In Aperture, when I add a custom metadata item under IPTC and export the image, that custom metadata item does not show up in PM or Bridge for that matter.
How can I export images and have the Rating and *Project Name* be exported and visible in PM or LR or Bridge?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dick B.

There is not an easy way but Ian Wood's tool might help you out.
Personally I would just use the "subfolder format" drop down options available in all of the export and relocate dialogs to sort them into directories that are based on Aperture project name - easy enough considering those other tools use file system based folders for there organization structure anyway.

  • How to export presentation with a song/audio

Hi. My presentation is completely automatic. No manual clicks required. All slides automatically flow with transitions.
I added music (an MP3 song) to these slides. In Keynote, it plays fine. The song plays when the slides are moving.
But when I export it as a MOV file to Quicktime, it creates TWO separate files:
    1. Myfile.mov
    2. Myfile-soundtrack.mov
Just playing Myfile.mov does not help, it does not have sound. What nonsense is this? Is this Apple's famous UI design?
Anyway, how do I merge these files? Some googling suggested I use GarageBand. So I paid 19 bucks for this software, but even Sending to GarageBand does nothing, it just creates a .MOV file that still does not have sound.
    Any ideas or pointers?
I have Quicktime Player on my machine (although like any sane person, use VLC for any video playback) and also have the iWork 09 and GarageBand latest. My OS is Mountain Lion latest..
    Thanks.

How do i do it? i am trying to export a QT file for a live broadcast to lay on top of my main video.< </div>
Live? Cannot be done. There is no CPU-based codec that will decode and process alpha in realtime. You must use someone's proprietary, hardware-based codec.
What i am trying to do is put in a file from livetype and another one from motion and export them as a transparent background quicktime file to i can use it atop my livestreaming video. < </div>
"Livestreaming" is not a term that is in my dictionary. Did you make it up or is a proprietary format for a special Web application?
Doesn't really matter, you cannot do it live with a stock Macintosh.
You can recompress and reprocess your footage files and attempt to use video DJ appliances and software or you can get a conventional video switcher.
FCP is an offline editing system, not a live production environment.
If we still haven't answered your questions, how about you start a new thread with clearly stated goals.
