How to export part of a project?

Hi Everyone,
I have a project which I need to trim to the length and size required to export to youtube. once its all trimmed and broken down to 3 or four clips how can I export one clip at a time.
In FCP all I do is mark in and out and it only export the marked clip. Is there similar way in imovie 9?

no. not anymore.. (iMHD≤6 had a 'export selection only'-feature)
workaround:
• in the Project Browser, ctrl-click your project, choose 'Duplicate'
• in duplicate, erase all content, except the first 10min ..
• upload
• repeat steps for 11-20, 21-30 and 31-40min of project...

Thanks Lillybiri, good tips! I have a couple of other questions for you:
1. When I print my handouts it resizes the slides to make them shorter, do you know if there is an option to keep the standard size of the slides?
2. When you publish to PDF how do you manage the timings without playing the audio? Obviously the trainer wouldn't teach at the same pace as the audio so there needs to be a way for the trainer to manually advance to the next slide/animation view.

How to export a 16:9 project with QT to 4:3 Letterbox?

Hello, my problem refers up to the export out of iMovie '09 with QuickTime.
If I want to export a 16:9 project with QuickTime for a Amazon review in 4:3 format, I thought, I must select the option "Receive aspect ratio using" - "Letterbox".
I expect a 4:3 film with bars as the result. And here lies my problem:
Whether I select the option, or not, the result is always a increased movie and cut on the left and on the right.
I tried now also the other options: " Adapt size" produces a 16:9 film without any bars.
"Cut" behaves as " Letterbox" and cuts of the left and the right of the picture
(I'm using the german version, so some of the options maybe named otherwise)
Can it be, because of a further attitude? E.G. that " prepare for Internet-streaming" is selected?
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help in advance.

Once you have one re-sized, "control+click" the clip > Copy > Select the rest of the images in the timeline > "control+click" on one of them > Paste Attributes > check basic motion > OK
That should ease the pain a bit.

How to export data from MS Project 2010 to MS Excel 2010 with formatting

I have created a Project 2010 export map to Excel 2010. It works fine. I have two questions that I cannot determine an answer. I'm not sure if its a project or excel setting. I have spend hours trying to make it
work with little success.
1. When the task name field is exported to excel it losses summary/task indent. Is there a way to set it up so it works via the export map?
2. The Start & Finish fields in project is setup as 5/26/11 when they exports to excel it shows up as 5/26/11 8:00 AM. Is there a way to set it up either in project export map or excel so its formated as a date field.
Excel's Format Cell function does not seem to work converting them back to just 5/26/11.
How can I keep the outlines and formatting in my data while exporting it to Excel.
I would appreciate any guidance.

Export part of the project

Anybody found a way to only export a section of a project? IN FCP 7 I would just go in the timeline and press I and O to select the wanted area and that's it. It's a very useful feature if I need to export a clip to do some stuff in AE and then bring it back in FCP.
It was also useful because I could leave some clips in the time line that I could use later but they would not be exported because they were outside the in/out section of the project.
The only work around I found is to select a part of the clip I want (I may have to do a compound clip first), copy it, create a new project, past it and export. It's a long and unefficient workflow.
Ay idea?

I am working on a LMS project which requires us to export all LMS file into a indesign project. any idea how to do that? thx.
do we need a third party software to export to indesign file?
or we have to rebuild all the assets in indesign again?

LMS is a Learning Management System. I had to look this up since this has never come up when I've read this forum.
Assuming you're talking about formatted text, you would have to export to a Word or Rich Text Format file to import this into InDesign. Everything would have to be laid out anew.

How to export Premiere Pro CC projects to Encore

I've tried the route of exporting picking the MPEG2 DVD option, but my video looks horrid. I tried importing my sequence to Premiere CS6 in order to "send to encore" via dynamic link. Unfortunately it won't read the sequence. Why won't Adobe just add "send to encore" via dynamic link like before? I spend 13 hours off and on yesterday just trying with Adobe reps over phone to get Encore to work. This is really kililng me right now. My clients are not happy. They want their DVD and bluray and I can't deliver. NOT COOL!

For deploying the project in to the server, following are the ways to do that...

3. WLST Scripts
4. through EM Console
And if understand your Question correctly, keep your MDS artifacts in the test environment and create the jar file and SOA Bundle and deploy to the test server...

Basically, SharePoint Designer has this feature "Export File"

I tried using WebRequest, it returns the End HTML, which is not working too.
Please if anyone has done this? Or is there any SharePoint Designer Developer here and is willing to share how to perform the export in SharePoint Designer via Powershell? API available?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to export Team Site Site Pages to .aspx and for subsequent uploaded to other Team Site and Web Part Customisation included using Powershell.
You can export a specific file or object from the Export-SPWeb context.
Export-SPWeb -identity "http://sharepoint" -ItemUrl "/default.aspx" -Path "c:\default.aspx"
Import-SPWeb -identity "http://sharepoint" -Path "C:\default.aspx"

HT5103 how do i export or share my project

I downloaded the trial version of Final Cut Pro X V10.0.6 and can't see any share tab on the top menu. There is one however in the Edit Menu, but it shows the icons for YouTube and other sites and then ones for Export File. I have tried a number of times to find the external hard drive I want to save this exported movie but can't seem to figure out how to export this project.
It says that the trial version is fully functional for 30 days, but I can't figure out how to export a Quicktime movie of my project.

That's weird. 10.0.6 has this same share path / feature. It is on the far right hand side. (In fact, my image IS from 10.0.6)

Hello,
Import your sample CAD file into A3DReviewer, select a single part then right click " Isolate "
The single part is isolated, now go to File/export select the extension file needed and press ok.
Only the isolated part is exported.
