How to export region code 2 movie to other TV's

I have programmed the iMac for region 2 and it plays the DVD. How do I get the movie out to play on another TV. How do you get video out of the iMac that is HDMI or what ever compatible. This is a special movie (restored "The Red Shoes") which is only available in the UK.
Thanks, Jim Easton

If the TV is an HDTV and has an HDMI connector, you can convert the video output of your iMac to HDMI. The adapter you need depends on your iMac model, which is not stated in your post in your profile. 2008 model Intel iMacs and earlier have a Mini-DVI port. 2009 model iMacs (both early and late) have a Mini DisplayPort. There are adapters that go from either video output to HDMI, available at Amazon.com and elsewhere.
The two displays will together will show an extended Desktop, as represented in System Preferences Displays pane Arrangement tab. The diagram on that preferences pane shows how the two screens are arranged relative to each other (you can move them around). The edge where the touch is where you can move your mouse cursor from one screen to the other.
To play any video, whether is using DVD player, QuickTime Player, iTunes, or other, open a window that shows the video. Use your mouse to drag the video window from the iMac's screen to the HDTV's screen. Then give the +full screen+ command from the menu bar or keyboard (usually Command-F). The video should take over the entire screen. Note: In a few apps, the screen that gets the +full screen+ is set in the app's preferences.

  • How to export as a movie file

Hello- I am a teacher and make a dvd for my kids with all of their pictures and videos on it at the end of the year. As I was taught in the apple store, I made the video in imovie and then added the music in garageband. Today I started this project, and garageband no longer has "export movie" as a choice, only music choices. Is there any way to still export this as a movie file? I believe it was a quicktime .mov file. Any help would be appreciated.

Today I started this project, and garageband no longer has "export movie" as a choice,
Are you now using GarageBand 10.0?
    Then import the movie,
Track menu > Show Movie Track
File menu > Movie > Open Movie
    Mix the sound track song
Then use the "File" menu > Movie > Export Audio to Movie.
This will write the audio aa an audio track into the imported movie.

  • How to export an i-movie to you-tube

I am having trouble exporting my i-movie to you-tube.  I'm following the instructions but am continually directed to form a i-website  instead.  Although that does look interesting, it's not what I want to do. I have  opened a you tube account and just want to export my first movie to it.  Any ideas??

Me again...l'm working on my movie in i-movie and have encountered a stumbling block.  Here is the quote from the "Help document" that goes with i-movie:
Drag your video selection to the Project Browser.
You drag by holding down the button on your mouse or trackpad as you move the selected clip to the Project browser. You can drag it anywhere: to the beginning or end of the project, or between clips you’ve already added. A vertical green line, along with a green Add symbol, appears anywhere you can place the clip.
I can locate clips I want to add in my library. I can mark them and they are then encircled in yellow.  When I begin to drag them from the library to the project, that's where I encounter a problem.  I was able to drag the first set of clips when I began to the project, but subsequent clips that I want to add to the project never make it up to the project browser.  Instead they "die" when I get to the top of the Event Library browser.  So I never get a green line or a plus sign and the clips never get up to the project browser.  I do maintain full contact with the mouse the whole way.

  • How to recover previously bought movies from other region?

    hi,
I bought many movies in Italian language, that I want to restore on my mac now that I moved to USA and changed region of my account. How can I do?
    Andrea

If you bought them from the Italian iTunes store then you won't be able to redownload them (assuming that they are still in the store) unless you return to Italy and have an Italian billing address on your account - you have to be in a country to use its store, including for redownloading.
You haven't got a copy of them on your backup of your downloads/library, or on an iOS device device that you can copy them back from ?

  • How to post reason code/movement type from MM to FI document?

Have had a request from our Finance guy here that when a movement is posted in MM (eg a scrapping), the reason code and movement type are to go onto the FI document when the movement is posted to the GL accounts. These values are to be viewed from FBL3N.
He thinks it might need to be done with substitutions but I have had no experience in this area and he has no idea how to go about it. I have extended the COBL structure using OKX3 which has put the field into BSEG but have no idea how to go about doing the substitution or which exit to use. Inaddition in SAP standard, MSEG passes the movememnt type tyo COBL field BWART but then this seems to get voided.
    Can anyone help me?

    Hi Larissa,
Please go through with this below link. You can easily understand about Substitutions.

  • How to export/convert FCE movies into AVCHD format?

I have read a number of topics addressing similar questions but haven't yet found a satisfactory explanation of why it is not simple to do the opposite of what the Log and Transfer function does when importing AVCHD footage in FCE.
The footage shot by camcorders is heavily compressed (my Sony camcorder generates 24 Mbps -that's BIT, not BYTE, per second- at its highest rate), thanks to their on-board processor (BIONZ in the case of my camera: http://www.sony.com.sg/microsite/dslr/technologies/bionz.html). Yet, when played by hardware (such as the camcorder itself) on a HD-TV, the movies look gorgeous. Hence, this is a perfectly acceptable compression. And it does not take an enormous amount of memory. For instance, a ~10 min sequence encoded at 17Mbps on my camcorder occupies ~2GB.
However, once imported by FCE, each frame is individually extracted for ease of editing, and the size explodes. So exporting the resulting edited movie (in 1080HD) as a QuickTime movie is a recipe for rapid hard drive saturation (and YouTube export failure). I have tried several codecs offered by FCE (H.264, mp4) but the resulting compressed videos are still humongous (North of 5 GB for the example I mentioned).
It would seem that what the BIONZ processor achieves in real-time should be within reach of a modern CPU at a much slower pace (we are used to several hours of rendering, aren't we?). Yet, that is not the case. Is there a good reason for that?
    Thanks for your comments.

    Tom,
I first noticed it when looking at the videos created by FCE (that was the origin of my post) played in QT. Usually I play them at the default size chosen by QT for my screen, which is something like 1400 x whatever.
The problem (in QT) occurs at any viewing size. It is of course less apparent at smaller size, but it's there.
Then having figured out that I would not improve the output, I looked at the sequence in FCE. Looking at the video played in the Canvas, the jagged edges are there. Of course to see them well, it is best to zoom a bit, but they are there at any size.
Having figured this out, I tried to reimport the original footage using Log and Transfer. The window that opens has a preview, and I saw the jagged edges there too (whatever size the preview panel was set to). I could not find any settings that I could play with to avoid this problem.
My naive conclusion is that FCE does not know how to handle 60i footage as "well" as my TV does. I am ready to believe that in reality FCE does a more accurate job of rendering the two fields into a single frame, but as a viewer, I prefer the rendering of my TV. And since both engines have been designed by humans, I would tend to say that the engineers of my Samsung TV had a better grasp of what is a good rendering of a 60i footage than did the engineers at Apple (or elsewhere) who wrote FCE.
Now, I may be missing some basic thing here, and I am ready to learn.
BTW, the jagged edged effect I am seeing is what is shown on the first picture of the wikipedia page you pointed me to.

  • How to export a VCD movie file to iPhone ?

I was trying to convert some of my VCD (MPEG-1) movies to be viewable on my iPhone using QuickTime Pro's Export function. The VCD movie is viewable in QuickTime Player with both video and sound. However, after the conversion, I only get video but no audio. Any idea? Thanks for your help in advance.

Use Streamclip to break the larger file into smaller "chunks" prior to export and export to DV Stream.
Use QuickTime Pro to join these .dv files and then export to a 320X240 (or maybe 480X360) at the iPhone .mov settings (not the built in preset values). If needed you can use the built in "Filters" adjustments to adjust HSL or brightness and contrast to improve video quality.

  • How to Export Form Code

I want to export all the code from forms to text file to run a standard check program. Is there a way to do that? I have developer 6i.
    Thanks in advance.
    (BASIT)

Depending on your version of Forms 6 you may find that the program unit code is encoded in the FMT file, so for the purposes of Auditing Code you may be better off with the Forms Doc option (File -> Administration -> Object List Report)
Or a Forms API program to extract exactly the information you need - see the Forms API Launchpad at http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms/techlisting.html

  • How to Export a Quicktime Movie Reference?

I'm looking to export a quicktime reference movie that I can bring into Soundtrack Pro. I tried quicktime movie and didn't select "self-contained". I didn't see a 'reference movie' option. My timeline is a bit over an hour long. It has the 10-bit PAL sequence preset. It took around 20 minutes to make the file. The final "quicktime movie" (reference?) was 5.5 GIGABYTES (GB) in size!!! The entire timeline was already rendered out.
What am I doing wrong? I thought QT Reference Files were suposed to be tiny.

I'm also having an issue with QT Ref files this morning, and didn't think it would be prudent to start a new thread. I have searched though, and don't think this has been answered elsewhere.
I'm working on a simple timeline...I built a sequence in After Effects and exported it as a DV/NTSC sequence for use in FCP. I've synced it up with an audio track (AIFF 48khz) and am trying to export various versions of it. The first one I did was a simple QT Ref movie. It looks exactly right. When I get info on this file, it says the codec is H.264, which is weird considering the source file and timeline setting is DV/NTSC.
I made a minor edit and attempted to just export a version using Sorenson 3 w/Compressor. Wasn't happy with the results, so I tried to export a new QT Ref of the edited timeline and was going to use this in Cleaner. The new ref file's get info says it was encoded as DV/NTSC (which makes sense), but it looks terrible. I wonder if this has anything to do with my use of Compressor in between. There's nothing to render since its only native DV and AIFF, but just for good measure I've done Sequence>Render All and same results.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance. Off to toss my prefs....
EDIT: after tossing QT and FCP Prefs, no luck. When I export, it doesn't even go through the process (its only a ~:30 piece so its not that long anyway) of exporting. It flashes for a second, and the file (severely compressed) is at the destination folder.

  • How to export edited GoPro mov from Premiere with same settings & similar size?

I feel like this should be easy but every time I try to export my edited video it's much bigger than the original, or it's smaller and bad quality.
My business partner sent me a 720p GoPro MOV that is 33:50 long and 1.78GB. I edited out 3 minutes and want to render in the same quality.
I've tried exporting as MOV and MP4 with various settings and it either ends up huge, like 25GB or more, or half the size and terrible quality.
I also tried rendering "match sequence settings" and it chooses a GoPro codec with a weird file extension (MXF).
The closest I've gotten is H.264 "Match Source - High bitrate" but that's still 2.29GB
    Thanks,
    Phil

i would guess the gopro MOV file that was sent to you is h264. you can adjust the bitrate on export to h264 from premiere so its smaller. if you want more compression with sightly better quality you will have to export as dnxhd/prores or even uncompressed and then use a program like handbrake to transcode to x264 or x265.
