How to extend standby time Nokia3110c

I know from local forum that Nokia3110c standby time is up to 5 days (reality), while my Nokia get only 2 days. Can someone share idea how to setup phone to extend standby time? ie. wallpaper, screen saver, sleep mode, display submenu, call submenu, phone submenu or otherelse.

1. Turn off the features you do not use.
2. Turn off animated wallpapers & screensavers.
3. Activate sleep mode and power-saving mode on the menu.
Consult your manual for other features you can turn-off if not in use. =)

Screen Goes a Little Grey After a Few Minutes - How to Extend The Time?

I think it must be some kind of screen saver, but the screen goes a little "grey" after a few minutes of idle keyboard time, like when watching something on
youtube.
what setting is this and how can I extend or turn off this screen saver option?

The display dims to save wiggly amps at half time before sleep occurs.

How to extend the time of jar certificate

i have created the the keystore using keytool
then signed the jar using jarsigner
but its giving my jar is certified for six months only.
my question is how can i extend the certificate period???

Since you don't say how you generated the key and certificate that you placed in the keystore I shall assume that you generated the key and self-signed certificate using 'keytool'(1). When you looked at the documentation for 'keytool' did the option not jump out at you?
(1) The only thing that hints that this is not the case is that the default validity period for 'keytool' is documented as 90 days and not 6 months.

How to extend ringing time before voicemail is activated?

I would like to setup the phone such that voicemail is not activated for 10 or 15 seconds, but I can't figure out how to do it. This was pretty easy to do on some previous phones I used.
Any ideas how to do this?

I contacted SingTel (Singapore Telecom) and they gave me a code that I had to "call" from the phone. Seems to work OK.
The bottom line is that you can't do it onboard the phone. As you guys said, you have to find out from the wireless provider.

How to extend ringer time

I'm pretty sure the iPhone, like all phones, is set at a default ring time of 20 seconds. Is there any way on my own that I can manually extend the ring time to the maximum 30 seconds or do I have to call Apple customer service. If so what is the number I can call?

Here is what i know about the ringer time.
First type *#61#{SEND}. Your iPhone will show where your voicemail calls are being to sent to. Write down the number as for you will need later. Second type {STAR} {STAR} 61 {STAR}{the number you just wrote down}**30#{SEND}. When you get the confirmation dismiss it. Finally, check that your calls are still being forwarded to the correct number. Type *#61#{SEND} and verify its the same number as before.
There you have it, your now 30 second ringer.
Where you see {STAR} it means *, i couldnt get it to show it correctly.

I am importing some data from XML files, and for that I have several methods in a SessionBean. The import may take several minutes, so with larger sets of data I get "Transaction time out" error. I know I can set transactions to bean-managed (haven't tried it yet, though), but is there a way to set a single method's transaction (in a container-managed-transaction bean) to take all the time it needs?

Ok now it is even worse ir seems to have stopped ringing totally my phone is updated using the latest version of IOS and the ringer is on full I am missing all of my calls!!!! Is there anyone that can help??

Look in the Network System Preferences. If you're using a modem you can see some of the settings by clicking the PPP Options button.
I'm stuck with dial-up and these Tiger updates are getting too big to download for me, too. My ISP gives "unlimited" access but also disconnects after 8 hours (busy or not).
I have friends with high speed connections and I ask them to do these large downloads. They transfer the file to Flash media which I mount, install and then delete.

Assuming that you have the model A1264 or A1392 version of the Express, it must be located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from the Time Capsule to be able to extend it correctly.
A good general location would be a point that is about half way between the Time Capsule and other area that needs more wireless coverage.
You will use AirPort Utility on your computer to configure the Express. An iPhone or iPad could be used as well.
We can provide more help....if you need it....but we'll need to know what version of AirPort Utility that you are using on your computer....or whether you want to use an iPhone or iPad to setup the Express.

If the codes Tanzim mentioned don't work, just call your carrier and ask them to extend your time until voicemail picks up, to 30 seconds. They do this routinely.

If you have an Exchange account on your iPad for which the admistrator has specified a limit on how long you can set the auto-lock, the only way to change it is to remove the Exchange account. Once you put the Exchange account back on, the restriction will be back in place. Apple has nothing to do with this.
Exchange admistrator often require that devices be passcode protected and that the device will autolock so they delete the "Never" setting.

Are you asking about how long before it goes to voicemail? If that is the question, then you need to contact your carrier. They are the ones that control that. It is not done at the phone level, that is carrier level settings. It is not based on rings, it is based on time. They may be able to extend it for you.

I'm working on my wedding dvd, and I am including a rolling credit that lists all of the guests to be pasted at the end of the movie. The problem is when I include more and more people to the list, the lettering gets smaller in a bid to fit all the text in to a certain time frame. Most of you have found this already, but the best place to start is in the Audio Plug-In Manager
If you want to "write" new plug-ins for Audition, writing a VST plug-in will be the best option as it will allow you to write something that will work on Windows as well as OSX. Info on writing a VST plug-in may be found here (http://www.steinberg.net/en/company/developer.html)
Adding Audio Unit Plug-Ins (Mac OSX)
Same as Above.   Note that OSX ships with some built-in AU plug-ins that Audition can utilize for free if you just scan at least once.   We don't scan on startup because there's several plug-ins out there in the world that don't behave well. Adding more import formats via libsndfile
libsndfile is an open-source C library for reading and writing audio files (http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/)   Ambitious people could download the source, write support for another format, and create their own custom-rolled library of libsndfile. You would then replace the version of libsndfile with which Audition CS5.5 ships, with the one you rolled.   Due to the way we use libsndfile, any format you add would show up in Audition.   This is also true if there's an official update to libsndfile that comes out in the future, you could just plop it in and it should work.
If you're interested in exporting or writing formats that libnsdfile supports, please tell us which formats are the most important to you and in what way you use them in your workflow.
Adding more import formats via QuickTime components
QuickTime has the ability to be extended via QuickTime Components.   There's several examples out there, but here are some websites to check out:

At this time, we haven't released an SDK for Audition.   If you're interested in one, however, please tell us what you would want from an SDK for Audition and we'll take it into consideration.

could you please also advise what PC users can do to make common avi files useable in AA CS5.5? The obvious problem is, no matter how many exotic video formats a PC can play by way of video-for-windows codecs, these are useless for Quicktime, because Quicktime on the PC needs codecs specifically written for "Quicktime for Windows", which are, as I've come to find, EXTREMELY rare. So far I've only found ONE, sold by 3ivx, but this costs as much as the AA CS5.5 update itself. Without them, Quicktime on the PC will only handle mov files, which are not too popular on the PC. Is there any other way out of this?
