How to extend the time of jar certificate
i have created the the keystore using keytool
then signed the jar using jarsigner
but its giving my jar is certified for six months only.
my question is how can i extend the certificate period???
Since you don't say how you generated the key and certificate that you placed in the keystore I shall assume that you generated the key and self-signed certificate using 'keytool'(1). When you looked at the documentation for 'keytool' did the option not jump out at you?
(1) The only thing that hints that this is not the case is that the default validity period for 'keytool' is documented as 90 days and not 6 months.

How can I extend the time I am timed out on the new Firefox version?
The new version of Firefox which I recently installed times me out after a very short period of time. I can I extend the time that Firefox times me out to at least one hour of inactivity.

Exchange admistrator often require that devices be passcode protected and that the device will autolock so they delete the "Never" setting. -

you usually do this as below
1) use transaction RZ10
2) choose instance profile, 'extended maintenance', then 'Change'
3) make sure that "login/create_sso2_ticket" is set to "2" and "login/accepte_sso2_ticket" set to "1"

How do you extend the time of a rolling credit?
I'm working on my wedding dvd, and I am including a rolling credit that lists all of the guests to be pasted at the end of the movie. The problem is when I include more and more people to the list, the lettering gets smaller in a bid to fit all the text in to a certain time frame. Obviously, the credits should be allowed to run for a lot longer to allow for the extra text. Is there a way of extending the time that the credits last for. I have tried dragging it, have fiddled with the scroll time (58 secs I think, not long enough for what I want to do.) Is it possible to do, or is this way to ambitious for this particular program. If so, would Final Cut do it?

How to increase the time of an introduction clip
Hi. I'm working on my first ever video. I have nearly completed everything, including the editing and
adding in a secondary sound track. I now need to add in voice over clips for each segment.
When recording the voice over for the lead-in segment (a fade from black segment with an illustrator heading/title), I realized that the voice-over required is significantly longer than the fade from black clip that I originally put into the video; the voice-over needed is 21.9 seconds long and the fade from black segment is only 5 seconds long.
I've tried simply moving the right edge of the lead-in segment to the right to extend the time, but nothing happens. I can't seem to get the entire video to extend its timeline. I must have obviously locked some or all of the segments, but I can't seem to figure out how to unlock them so I can extend the lead-in segment.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what I need to do to fix this. Surely there is a simple way to extend the timeline of the lead-in segment, and I'm just missing it.

try moving everything to the "right" of the clip you want to extend...make longer ...to the right..out of the way....
If you have "handles" on that clip you can drag it out to the time you want...if you dont have handles you can drop a "new" instance of that clip in its place and make it as long as you want.. -

How can I set the number of rings on my phone before voicemail picks up? The default of 20 seconds is too short. I would like to extend the time to 30 seconds. How can I do this?
It's set by the system at roughly 30 seconds; sometimes using a different ringtone helps.

How to extend the size of a layer?
Hi all,
Hopefully this is an easy one, but I think I'm just thinking about it wrong. I'm animating the movement of one part of a photo. I duped the photo layer, masked out the subject I want on the copy layer and have animated its position over time. Pretty straight forward. The problem is that as the item moves its edges are seen. I wanted to just use the clone stamp to add a little more to the image but obviously you can't paint or stamp past the edge of the layer. So I was trying to figure out how to 'extend' the bounds of the layer a little so that I can fill in the missing area.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I'm not having any success with this method. Here's what I have:
Original photo of kids with ball at playground. Ball is at lower left but partially cut off. Photo is on layer 1.
I duplicate layer 1.
Rename layer 2 to 'ball' and layer 1 to 'bg'
On ball layer I mask out the ball and then animate its position over the length of the clip.
When I precompose the ball layer (I tried both moving the attributes and leaving them as is) I get the new composition 'ball comp 1'. I open up ball comp 1 and change the composition settings to make the width taller.
So far, so good. Now I'm trying to follow your suggestion to then paint on the precomposition layer. Do you mean to go back to the original composition where the new pre-comp layer is and try to paint on it? If so, that doesn't work. If I select the Clone tool and try to paint the layer actually gets moved rather than painted on. If I open the new 'ball comp 1' composition and try to paint there it doesn't work either. And if I open up the layer in that comp that has the ball in it and try to paint there, the edges are still the original edges.
Any idea where I went wrong?

KrishnaIf you make a BartPE bootable ISO or CD, you can add a 'DiskPart' folder in your Plugins folder. Then put the following contents inside that 'DiskPart' folder. The file name should be "DiskPart.inf"
This will allow you to boot from the BartPE CD, open a command prompt, and use Diskpart like you would from within Windows normally. We extended C drives of old systems (VMs) many times this way. I'm reasonably sure our BartPE CD is based
of Server 2003 Standard SP2.

How to populate the time component of a cube?
We have a question regarding how to populate the time component of a cube. Let me explain:
We are using OWB 10gR2. We have created a cube with several dimensions. We are now building the mapping to load the cube. The cube operator has two columns for every dimension (e.g., "customer" and "customer_id" for the "customer" dimension).
We understand that, in this case, "customer_id" stands for the dimension business key, so we create an arrow from the business key in the source table to the "customer_id" column in the cube operator.
So far so good. The mapping works all right, and the cube is loaded correctly.
Now we need to do the same for the time dimension. We have already created the time dimension and we have loaded it. We have also included it in the cube, so now we have two new columns in it: "time_day_code" and "time", both NUMBER data type.
We have the "sale_date" column (DATE data type), in the source system and, of course, now we want to populate the date column in the cube. We suppose that, somehow, we have to translate the "sale_date" field into the numeric column of the surrogate key of the time dimension. How should do we do this? I suppose that OWB must do the translation for us, just as it does for the other dimensions, but how? We have been looking into the manuals, and we have found no explanation on how to go about this.
Any help would be appreciated.

You are right this should have been in the manuals, checked and there is only a brief mention (Using a Time Dimension in a Cube Mapping section)
The identifier format should have been documented for each level and will involve creating the formatted attribute for input to the cube operator's time dimension reference attribute.
The time dimension business keys are stored as follows;
Day Level - YYYYMMDD
Month Level - YYYYMM
Week Level - YYYYWW
Quarter - YYYYQ
Year - YYYY
If you have a source that has a SQL date datatype for example and want to construct the key for a cube's time dimension at the day level something like the following expression can be used to construct the time reference from a SQL date...
to_number(to_char( time_key, 'YYYYMMDD'))
The result of this expression can be used as input to the cube's time dimension attribute.

My 1st generation Time Capsule/2007 keeps shutting off and disconnecting from internet? What could be the problem? How long do the Time Capsules usually last?
