How to extract a still from iMovie to create a jpg

I'm trying to extract a still from iMovie to create a jpg. I've been able to make a freeze frame, but now I want to export it into iPhoto as a jpg? How?

I suggest that you use a free app called MPEG Streamclip.

I have a client who is interested in capturing a frame from a DVD that we created using DVDSP3. She wants to either print or email it to some family members. I know I can extract it from the original video file, but I'd rather not get involved. Can anyone recommed a simple shareware or inexpensive tool that will allow someone to grab a frame from the finished DVD? I'd be interested in both Mac and PC tools.

Do you get the camera? Do you select the VLC window? It works just fine... I've never not been able to do it!
You can use AppleShift4 (no spacebar) and select the area you want but it's not as fast as the +Spacebar way as you have to drag the area. You can always edit the method that you can do in photoshop or something...

How do I take a still from iMovie and move it to desktop?

I right clicked in Event Browser and clicked on <add still frame to project>. Imovie created a stilland added it to end of Storyboard.
Now I want to use it elsewhere, particularly in iPhoto. The "iLife 11 Portable Genius" manual says to then right-click the picture's clip on the Storyboard, and choose the <reveal in finder> option. But that option does not come up.
I can't drag and drop the still from iMovie to the desktop.
Woould appreciate any suggestions.

I?m starting to work with java...
i have the following data inside a string variable:
0 rows inserted.
0 rows updated.
0 rows ignored.
98 rows marked as deleted.
0 rows have no country.
3345 rows have no geo.
0 rows are invalid.
what i want to do i to extract the number of rows marked as delete.
I think that i figured out how to extract the number from this line :"98 rows marked as deleted."
but how do i get to that line?

The first DataSource (2LIS_03_BX) is used to extract an opening stock balance on a
detailed level (material, plant, storage location and so on). At this moment, the opening
stock is the operative stock in the source system. "At this moment" is the point in time at
which the statistical setup ran for DataSource 2LIS_03_BX. (This is because no
documents are to be posted during this run and so the stock does not change during this
run, as we will see below). It is not possible to choose a key date freely.
The second DataSource (2LIS_03_BF) is used to extract the material movements into
the BW system. This DataSource provides the data as material documents (MCMSEG
structure).
The third of the above DataSources (2LIS_03_UM) contains data from valuated
revaluations in Financial Accounting (document BSEG). This data is required to update
valuated stock changes for the calculated stock balance in the BW. This information is
not required in many situations as it is often only the quantities that are of importance.
This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In
other words, only the stock value is changed here, no changes are made to the
quantities. Everything that is subsequently mentioned here about the upload sequence
and compression regarding DataSource 2LIS_03_BF also applies to this DataSource.
This means a detailed description is not required for the revaluation DataSource.

However, there is a way around this.
Go to the Project Library view. Select your Trailer. Now, click FILE/CONVERT TO PROJECT.

I have a 10 parts of zip files that contains single file. When I extracted these, each program taking an action seperatly to each parts and gave me 10 files in a different folders. In a Windows, it is so simple. Winzip,winrar automaticaly discovering that are the parts of a single file and give me that.
My question is simple: How to extract single file from a multipart zip/rar archives ?
I know a way in "Terminal" but it is not comfortable for big parts.

I tried with UnArchiver but it extracted each file seperately like showen in a photo

To burn a DVD with iDVD from the latest version of iMovie, you have to export the movie using the Export button and select 480p as the size. Open iDVD and start a new project, then drag that exported movie file into the iDVD menu window, avoiding any drop zones you see.
