How to extract a subassembly from a bom table
Hello,
I am completely stumped on what to do. Please help!
The have a table called bom table. My goal is to extract a sub the subassembly based from a "top_level" and "component".
This is what the table looks like:
top_level | sequence | level | component | make_buy | Revision
topitem1 | 0 | 0 | topitem1 | Make | A
topitem1 | 1 | 1 | subassembly1 | Make | A
topitem1 | 2 | 2 | component1 | Buy | A
topitem1 | 3 | 2 | component2 | Make | B
topitem1 | 4 | 3 | component3 | Buy | A
topitem1 | 5 | 1 | subassembly2| Make | A
topitem1 | 6 | 2| component4 | Buy | A
The result I would like if I extract "subassembly1" should be:
topitem1 | 1 | 1 | subassembly1 | Make | A
topitem1 | 2 | 2 | component1 | Buy | A
topitem1 | 3 | 2 | component2 | Make | B
topitem1 | 4 | 3 | component3 | Buy | A
The result I would like if I extract "subassembly2" should be:
topitem1 | 5 | 1 | subassembly2| Make | A
topitem1 | 6 | 2| component4 | Buy | A
Thank you
Hi,
This gets the results you requested from the sample data:
SELECT * -- or whatever
FROM table_x
START WITH toplevel = :target_toplevel
AND component = :target_component
CONNECT BY toplevel = PRIOR toplevel
AND sqnc = PRIOR sqnc + 1
AND lvl > (
SELECT lvl
FROM table_x
WHERE toplevel = :target_toplevel
AND component = :target_component
);I don't know enough about your requirements or your data to say if it will work in all cases.

2LIS_03_BX- Initial Stock/Material stock
2LIS_03_BF - Material movements
2LIS_03_UM - Revaluations/Find the price of the stock
The first DataSource (2LIS_03_BX) is used to extract an opening stock balance on a
detailed level (material, plant, storage location and so on). At this moment, the opening
stock is the operative stock in the source system. "At this moment" is the point in time at
which the statistical setup ran for DataSource 2LIS_03_BX. (This is because no
documents are to be posted during this run and so the stock does not change during this
run, as we will see below). It is not possible to choose a key date freely.
The second DataSource (2LIS_03_BF) is used to extract the material movements into
the BW system. This DataSource provides the data as material documents (MCMSEG
structure).
The third of the above DataSources (2LIS_03_UM) contains data from valuated
revaluations in Financial Accounting (document BSEG). This data is required to update
valuated stock changes for the calculated stock balance in the BW. This information is
not required in many situations as it is often only the quantities that are of importance.
This DataSource only describes financial accounting processes, not logistical ones. In
other words, only the stock value is changed here, no changes are made to the
quantities. Everything that is subsequently mentioned here about the upload sequence
and compression regarding DataSource 2LIS_03_BF also applies to this DataSource.
This means a detailed description is not required for the revaluation DataSource.

Hope this helps.

How to extract channels names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs?
Hi,
Does anybody know how to extract channel names from PhotoShop-written TIFFs? (I'm really asking about spot color channel names, as basic channel names, such as "Red," "Green," "Blue" or "Cyan," "Magenta," "Yellow," and "Black" can obviously be derived from the color space tag.)
There's some XMP data in those TIFFs, but manual inspection does not seem to reveal channel names. So, this may not be an XMP question, after all. There's also a larger (for metadata) data block associated with a private (Adobe) tag, which could contain the information. It's binary, though, and I wouldn't know how to crack it open.
The data must be present somewhere in the file, as PhotoShop will show the channel names on re-open of the TIFF.
There's a TIFF/IT TIFFTAG_INKNAMES tag, which PhotoShop doesn't utilize.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
OliverSolution is to speak to Adobe directly and receive confidential info.

How to extract HTML page from the internet
i am new to java, i wish to know how to extract Html page from the internet and also how to identify the differences between the images and text information?
You can create a java.net.URL that points to the file you want to "extract" and read the HTML code (or what ever that file contains) from there using the inputstream given by URL.openStream().
The difference between images and text... well, images are embedded in html using the img-tag. example: <IMG src="http://forum.java.sun.com/images/reply.gif" alt="Reply">. Attributes width, height, alt are sometimes left out and there may or may not be quotes around the values and everything is case insensitive... you'll be having hard time trying to parse the input so I'd suggest using existing parsers.
What are you trying to do anyway? You can load a URL directly to a JTextEditorPane with the setPage(URL page) method... -

How can I modify data from a Transparent Table without ABAP code.
Hi,All
How can I modify data from a Transparent Table (like TCURR), and important thing is I want do all that with no ABAP code here. It is like that we always do that in a Oracle database use TOAD or PLSQL third party tools, with no script code here.
I had fond that there is a way can do that:
1, type 'se11',and Display Database table 'TCURR', click Contents, then click Execute to display all data
2, type '/h' and let debugging on
3, select one of this data then click 'Display',enter in debugging system.
4, then make a breakpoint in the code. But... display a dialog let I type a 'ABAP Cmnds', I want to know what can be type in for that?
and, My system is ECC6.
thank you all
Edited by: xuehui li on Aug 20, 2008 6:30 PMHello,
Your approach (with Vijay's suggestion) MAY work. However, depending on how tight security is at the company that you are working at you may or may not be able to acutaly change the value of the SHOW field to EDIT. This will be especially true if you are working in a Production environment. Vijay's other comment is true as well. This is not a recommended approach to change data (especially data with a financial impact like TCURR) in a production environment. The auditors will not be impressed.
Explore the option of a maintenace view or look at tcode TBDM to upload a file which includes daily rates from providers like Reuters or try tcode s_bce_68000174 which is a maintenance view on TCURR.

How to insert select columns from one internal table to another
Hi,
How to insert select columns from one internal table to another based on condition as we do from a standart table to internal table.
regards,
SriramHi,
If your question is for copying data from 1 int table to other ;
we can use
APPEND LINES OF it_1 TO it_2.
or if they have different columns then:
loop at it_1 into wa_it1.
move wa_it1-data to wa_it2-d1.
apped wa_it2 to it_2.
clear wa_it2.
endloop.
thnxz
