I had a iphone and everything is back up to iCloud, it's got 2G of data in it. I got a new phone a few months ago and started a new backup. Now how do I get the old data from the previous iphone?

Settings-General-Reset-Erase All Content and Settings-This will restart your phone and the setup assistant. Go through the steps and when you reach the setup as new phone or restore from iCloud backup. Select iCloud backup and check your older backup files

If it was a video taken on your iPad, and if you have it backed up from the last time you did an iTunes (or iCloud) backup, then yes, you can restore your iPad using that backup.

No. It is only on imessage which has to be an apple product. ipod, iphone, ipad, or mac. Will not work on other phones.

Hello. I would like to discuss with this problem that I have just encountered. Recently, I've chosen a back up storage and then iCloud was restoring my iPhone. There was a link of the app showing that it was there then suddenly it vanished off the iPhone screen. I've tried to restore it again and again. Same thing happened, link of the app was showing and then in a matter of seconds, it vanished. I checked my apple account(I have also checked in the hidden purchased apps, I got zero results) , the app that I have purchased for $3.99 was no longer existed. They said that the developer of the app(Yu Zeng) took it down, due to lack of office use. I really loved that app and I paid good money for it. So the question is,"How do I retrieve a purchased app that was taken down? Or "Is it possible to retrieve a purchased app that was taken down?" If there is any solution to this matter, please do tell. I really need a lot of help!

If you are signed inot ht eiTunes store wioth the same account used to purcahse that app, click on Buy and it will tell you that you have already purcahsed it and ask if you want to redownload it.

Sorry, there is no file recovery for files you delete from cloud storage. If you made a local backup then you can restore from it.

How do you save an image that was downloaded from an email into pages to my album?

I had a friend email me a word document with images in it. The document was downloaded onto my iPad and opened in the pages app. I would now like to save the images from this document into my album so I can use them in other applications. I know how to save from the internet but cant get those save image options when I click on the image in pages. Also had a friend send a powerpoint that downloaded in pages. Would like to use images from that file as well. Help please!

I am taking a guess here. The photo does not actually reside on the iPad or in the document itself, so you can't save it to the camera roll. You are just seeing the image on the screen. It may even print, but the photo itself is not on the device, so you can't save it.
Ask him to email the photo itself.

How do I remove an application that was trashed from an external drive?

I did a clean install of Snow Leopard and used Migration Assistant to restore my apps from my Time Machine backup.
I also have a second external drive, and I had something on it called "iP100 series On-screen Manual". It's a manual for my printer that I didn't need anymore so I moved it to the trash.
As soon as I did that, a little printer icon with a question mark appeared on ALL my Mac folders - even the ones on the external drives. When I move my curser over the icon, it's identified as "Trash of Seagate External Hard Drive>iP100 series On-screen Manual".
I emptied the trash, thinking that the little icon would go away, but it was just replaced by a big question mark. Then if I click on the question mark, I get the message: "The item can't be found".
I reinstalled the printer from a CD, and it put an alias on my desktop called "iP100 series On-screen Manual" which does open the on-screen manual, but when I try to find the original, it takes me to a file in the Applications Folder called "Contents8f.help" which also opens the on-screen manual, so it must be the original. I tried renaming the file to the same name as the alias. I tried trashing it. I tried trashing everything related to the printer and reinstalling again, but nothing has worked. The question marks remain!
It seems that my Mac has a desperate need to find "Trash of Seagate External Hard Drive>iP100 series On-screen Manual" but the trash is empty and I have no idea where to find this item that "can't be found".

Thanks. I couldn't get the control-click to work, but I found that if I opened a folder and picked "Customize Tool Bar" from "View" in the Finder, I was able to drag the question mark out of the toolbar and onto the desktop where it "poofed' and disappeared. Doing this removed the question mark from the toolbar in all my folders.

I have imported my apple mail mailboxes and moved the MPB Desktop to the iMac Desktop. But where are all my applications and most important my iCal?

Trying to transfer music to itunes on new pc from ipod that was synced from old pc that is no longer usable

old pc from which i synced my ipod is broken.
cannot perform a direct file transfer.
need to import music to new pc from ipod, but neither itunes nor the computer itself will import the music files.
i do not have all of the old cds, and it would be an extremely time-consuming process going through so many discs to pick out over 800 single songs anyway. help?
other details:
new pc runs on windows 7
old pc ran on windows 8
ipod software updated 6 jan 2015

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

Technically if you no longer own the CD then you no longer have the right to a copy of the music.

IMHO the best solutiopn is to use Apple mail as hyour e-mail client - set it in the iPhoto preferences
