How to extract the .ecp files?
We need to extract some *.ecp files. Please help tell whether a double click would be enough?
We did not get the files yet, just prepare the procedure. Thanks!
Hi,
You can open *.ecp files using any of the compression tools like Winzip or Winrar.

How to extract the cobol files into owb
Hi
How to extract the cobol files in owb,I am using OWB9.2.
Ex:I am having 2 records DCEC4000100 9159000050C those values are 5 bytes 'RAVI and 6 bytes '15000'.
Using contorl file i am trying to load these into Oracle,But i am not able into insert these records into Oracle.
Can any tell me how to handle this kind of situation?
Regards,
RupakGood morning Ashok,
Your data is in a SQL*Loader supported datatype, so basically it should not be a problem.
Have you checked the Database Utilities guide (for Oracle9i for instance: http://www.lc.leidenuniv.nl/awcourse/oracle/server.920/a96652/toc.htm) on how to handle this?
I'll also repeat my previous question, have you ever been able to load data into the database using SQL*Loader (either using ASCII values or any other datatype)?
For the OWB part, have you read "Importing Data Definitions" (typically chapter 4)? More specifically, "Specifying Field Properties" in "About Flat File Sources and Targets"?
In "SQL*Loader Properties" it says the following:
Type Describes the data type of the field for the SQL*Loader. You can use the Flat
File Sample Wizard to import the following data types: CHAR, DATE, DECIMAL
EXTERNAL, FLOAT EXTERNAL, INTEGER EXTERNAL, ZONED , AND ZONED
EXTERNAL. For complete information on SQL*Loader field and data types, refer to
Oracle9i Utilities. Currently, only portable datatypes are supported.
If you check the database utitlities guide (chapter 6 Field List Reference) and look for "SQL*Loader Datatypes", you'll find (packed) decimal under the Nonportable Datatypes. This implies that OWB does not support it.
This does not mean you can't use SQL*Loader, you'll only have to define everything separate from OWB and call it separately as well.
Good luck, Patrick -

Cannot extract the setup file 10gr2_db_sol.cpio for Solaris
Hi,
I downloaded the 10gR2 setup file "10gr2_db_sol.cpio.gz" for sparc solaris 8. I extracted the .gz by gunzip. Then I tried to extract the .cpio by the command:
cpio -imdv 10gr2_db_sol.cpio
just like written in download page.
But there is no progress: neither an error, nor a response or an extracted directory occured. The command waits as if working nothing occurs.
I tried several times both on solaris and Linux.
How can extract the setup file with cpio suffix on Solaris?
thanksOnce you have extracted the file as previously stated, look for the database disk (wherever you have unpackaged it) and look for the runInstaller file. On unix environments there is no setup file.
Make sure you have already read the install requirements before proceeding with installation.

how to extract the audio of a zip file? if it helps I'm trying to add this album zip to my library
Let's say you have a zipped audio collection (audio.zip) containing mp3 files. And you are at a Terminal prompt.
List the files in the zip archive
unzip -l audio.zip (that is ell)
Extract all mp3 audio files into a new home directory folder called mymusic
unzip -d ~/mymusic audio.zip \*.mp3
Variations of the above will depend the zip contents, and internal structure. If the zipped audio collection was gzipped, or someone used rar on it, then the extraction process will be different. -
How to extract the contents of the Jar file?
Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to extract the contents of the Jar file?
An example will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.From command line, or from within a java application?
Kaj
Btw. Why do you need to do it. You do know that you can add jars to the classpath and read resources from them without extracting the file? -
DVD: can I extract the movie files?
DVD: can I extract the movie files?
I created a DVD (burned on DVD media). I did not archive the project since the files are too large. Can I extract the movie files from the DVD? I want to make a edit to the DVD.
I know if I have the movies (clips) in iMovie I can do it but how do I do it from a completed DVD that I created and dont have the assets?
I really don't want to pay for software that I will use once. Low or No cost alternative that won't sacrifice file quality? Thanks! Steve
Message was edited by: Steve WoronAs far as set up goes, others on this forum feel free to add. I rarely use either of the above (although I have access to them on separate power macs).
Reason: Apple's DVDSP works natively with Mpeg-2. I personally have no need for anything else since these features are already included in apple's pro apps.
Q: Doesnt DVDxdv watermark the demo version?
A: Yes. It does, until you pay for it in full.

Q:what is QT playback component??
A:The QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component provides QuickTime users with the ability to import and play back MPEG-2 content, including both multiplexed (a.k.a. muxed, where the audio and video tracks are interleaved into one track) and nonmultiplexed (a.k.a. elementary) streams.

help of some decompilers he can convert class file to .java source code and read the whole
stuff.
how can i protect my jar file from these.
is there any security mechanism for that

How to break the PDF file into images?
How to break the PDF file into images? There should be settings in Photoshop CS 6 that imports PDF file and break it into images. I have a short instruction:
2. Open the file in Photoshop.
3. A new window should open to Import PDF. Click on images, not pages import pdf into Photoshop.doc
4. Select all the files shown (shift + click), Click O.K. Four files should open on your screen.
Was anybody successful with that?Whether this is available solely depends on the structure of the PDF and whether it actually contains whole images that can be extracted separately. Depending on whatgoing on in the PDF this may simply not be the case and the images have been tiled and split up in multiple "objects" whose appearance can only be retained by rasrerizing the whole page...

Hi All,
In the procedure of changing the Portal Logon / Logoff page ,we need to extract Par file ,modify the extracted files and then put them back,can somebody tell me how to extract a PAR file ,wt is the procedure of tat.
Regards,
SaumyaHi Saumya,
First you need to retrieve the logon PAR file from the portal file system.The file is found in your EP instance,which is located at ..
/usr/sap/<instance>/j2ee/j2ee_00/cluster/services/servlet_jsp/work/jspTemp/irj/root/WEB-INF/deployement/pcd
-The file that you need is called sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak.
copy this file to your local directory and rename the PAR file(for eg. my.new.logon.par).It is necessary to remove the .bak extension.
-Next you can open the PAR file and modify the appropriate files.
-put modified files back into PAR file
-copy the new par file back into the deployement directory
and restart the portal to see ur changes.
Also look at the following threads for more info -

AXIS2 - how to extract the response from OElement
i implemented web services using the bottom to top method, i succed to
deploy the webservice (embeded in axis.war) into tomcat.
i generate also all stuf (skeleton, stub....), i have also a Junit test wich call the stub (this is the client of the webservice)
when the execution finished, i have an OMElement, i would like to know how to extract the arraylist of Project object fromwithin the OMElement
here is the code :
public void testgetProjects() throws java.lang.Exception {
ProjectServiceImplStub stub = new ProjectServiceImplStub();
// the default implementation should point to the right endpoint
GetProjects getProjects24 = (GetProjects) getTestObject(GetProjects.class);
getProjects24.setLogin("root");
getProjects24.setSchema("autoprod");
GetProjectsResponse projectsResponse = stub.getProjects(getProjects24);
OMElement element = projectsResponse.get_return();
//TODO extract list of Project object from element
assertNotNull(projectsResponse);
}thank you for your helpYou have to separate columns using comma as shown above.Hmm, no, you don't have to. You can also import into Excel from a fixed field length file.
Just think about CHAR field which data includes a coma. This would just mess the Excel doc. So in these cases, it's a bit more tricky if you want to use CSV... you have to enclose CHAR data into " or '
