How to factory default reset gen 3 with fast flashing led

After the holiday power outages here in NH, I find my Apple TV (3rd gen) with a fast blinking LED. Tried to connect via USB directly to my Mac Mini with Yosemite 10.10.1 and nothing...
iTunes does not show the device. Tried several USB cables.
Any suggestions?

Did you make sure to follow the steps exactly (disconnect all cables, connect micro usb, reconnect power)?

Make sure you are connecting directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub
If using a cable that came bundled with another device it may not have the capacity to transfer data (only charge) or only be designed to work with that device.

Yes we did a back up, but it's a new computer and we can't find it anywhere on it. We had to "authorize" it through itunes, but still nothing. Thanks for the help

Password reset or factory defaults reset

Hi all,
I recently bought a ironport C350 on ebay, but after receiving the unit, it turns out there is still a password present on the box and I'm unable to login.
How do I reset this password or fully reset the box to factory defaults ?
Ironport/Cisco support refuses to help me because there is no support contract on this device.
When I ask for a support contract, they refuse that too, and say that the product is going end of life by the end of this year, and thus don't want to help me anymore at all.
So far for service ...
So how do I solve my problem now ?

sorry to hear that you are unable to access the box, the reason why support can't help you with that is that all Cisco IronPort boxes are bundled with a support contract, and as this model is end of life, you cannot get support for it as well. So as Ken pointed out already, please contact the seller, if this box was sold on Ebay as a working IronPort appliance and not just as server hardware, you'd request a return and your money back, as this appliance won't be of any use that you expected.

i tried to create a web services with a default constructor and another that takes few arguments, no matter
what i do I couldn't call the non default constructor from the client! how can I pass my arguments in the constructor? worse yet, I tried to pass my arguments to another exposed WebMethod, guess what? the public or private variables i'm trying to update,
do not get updated, what gives? any documentation on how to use web services? i'm pretty newbie at this. thanks

Having to Factory Default Reset Motu Traveller 2 times a day?

When I start up my MBPro each day my Traveler will only give off high pitch beeps. I have to reset every time. Also after sleeping it can do the same thing.
Motu does not suggest to keep the Traveler running 24/7, so that is not an option. Any Travelers out there, or anyone with any advice, as I am having to shut down and restart my MBPro 3 or 4 times a day, which is a little more than I would like.

I returned it today. I had to push a bit on the store to replace because they could not duplicate the problem and because I did so many restores, there was no data that they could check to see the history of resets, or so they said.
But, alas, a secret manager in the back approved a replacement but I was reminded this was a one time courtesy replacement. The Genius rep was very cool, same guy who helped me the first time.
I said, "how am I supposed to come in when it locks up? I need to use the phone, so I am always going to reset it. I can't wait to come to the store and just live with no phone for a day or two." He responded that unless they can see the problem or duplicate, there is nothing they can do. A very reasonable policy and it makes sense, but you would think that if I just got the phone on Friday and came back Monday, I might get the benefit of the doubt, which I suspect I did in this case.
Got to love Apple, they just want to make their customers happy. I marveled as another customer brought their Generation 1 iPod nano in for repair / replacement and they were looking for ways to give her a credit. Another guy brought in an iPod classic that clearly had been abused and they replaced it.
They really do try.

Pavilion dv6709ax Recovery Partition not accessible to Factory Default Reset

Hard drive is full of old information (no longer requuired) and possibly infected with a virus. I wish to reconfigure the computer back to its original state to use as a backup/travel computer.
I have attempted to use the Recovery Partitiion in various ways to no avail. It was fine when the computer was first purchased.
I believe that I should be able to rebuild the contents of the recovery partition by downloading and installing appropriate HP files.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

The only way to rebuild the recovery partition is by booting from Recovery Discs to format the entire hdd and restore it to Factory setup. Did you make your Recovery Discs when you first got the laptop?

WIP 330 Wireless Phone Password just showed up and does not allow Factory Default Reset

I have a WIP 330 IP Phone and had it setup on the network fine. When I powered it up, a phone password showed up. The manual says the default password is "admin" but that does not work. This phone has no reset button. Any Ideas?

The default login is “Admin” and password “0000”.

CAT 2950 Factory Default reset when fron button pushed

We have just started using the 2950 and have been told by two different people that if you hold the button down on the from of the switch for 3-4 seconds it does a factory reset, is this true?
Is there anyway of disabling this feature as some of our switches are in public access areas and don't want someone resetting them for us?

Thanks for writing in. You've heard correct info.
If you hold the Mode button for 10 seconds, the switch configuration is deleted and the switch reboots. This is stated at the link below.

The above link also gives a command to disable this feature.
Disable express setup by the command, 'no setup express'.
The following line is mentioned at the above link.
"The primary purpose of the no setup express command is to prevent someone from deleting the switch configuration by pressing the Mode button for 10 seconds."

My 3TB TC is stuck on the AMber light when turing on and it doesnt show up in Airport Utility.
All this happened after I tried to restore an earlier vesrion of my I-photo library file from my TC back up.
Now, what happened during the restore is bizarre.
My entire ihoto library is no longer on my MacBookPro and I cannot access the TC backup, because the dis is stuck.
Can anyone tell me how to get out of this mess?
Is there a way to manually connect the TC HDD to my Macbook?
I would like to have my photos back (about 10 years worth of memories...
