How to fetch published data from portal using ABAP

Hello,
I have a file published in the portal (with broadcaster). Now I want to use this file in an ABAP program. I can't call the web address directly because my program can't handle the Portal authentication. So I have two questions:
- is there any way to call Portal-websites which require authentication from ABAP?
or
- how can I directly get access to the file without detour over the Portal (where is the place in file system).

What do you mean with "mapped drive" - <a href="http://http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/42/e915d951f23ee0e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm">this</a>? I guess I could choose this drive in broadcaster at "export document in any folder" (don't know exactly English label because my system is in German language...)?

I need to get the image of a BW-chart in ABAP because I want to use it in SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe (I have an ABAP program to fetch my data and create the form). I could create my own chart of the data with the Internet Graphics Service but this would be a lot of work. You can create this charts very easily using the Chart Designer which i.e. is included in the Web Application Designer. If you create a Web Site containing a chart you can access this via browser and you have the chart as an image (created from current data). I tried simply to call this website with ABAP but I can not "log in" and so I have no access to this page. Because of this I had the idea to use the broadcaster to automatically publish this Web Application when my data were updated. If I use MHTML my chart-image is saved separately. This just would work for me. And now I want to get this image as a binary with ABAP.
I hope you understand my problem.

Hey I got the Solution. It follows in this way :
A Cube is nothing but a Data Storage. Based on the Mapping we given it considers the data.
To fetch the data from the Cube -> we have to write the SQl Query as below :
     SELECT dealer_name,model_name,sales
     FROM TABLE(OLAP_TABLE('MDB.FINAL_AW DURATION SESSION',
     'DIMENSION dealer_name AS varchar2(30) FROM FINALDEAL
     DIMENSION model_name AS varchar2(30) FROM FINALMODEL'));
We can create View for the above statement o
we can apply group by ,rollup, etc etc clauses
and even we can write where clauses for the above select statement.
But now my doubt is :
can we apply any calculations while mapping the Level to an Dimension.
Generally we will map Level toa dimension as DBUSER.TABLENAME.COLUMN NAME
can we apply any calculation like :
MIS.PROPKEY020MB.MATURITY_DATE+2
Please help for the above.

How to fetch the data from databse table and get the required output

I have made a project that connects CEP to database table but i m getting some problem in fetching the data from database.
From the following code :
If the where condition is removed then the application runs fine but i am still not able to fetch the data from the table because it is not showing any output.
Can anyone please suggest me that how to write WHERE statement correctly and how i will be able to see the output.

You can follow the below steps to fetch the data from ECC to BI System.
1>Connection should be there between ECC and BW System.
2>Go to Tcode-RSA5 in ECC system and find your data source and then activate it.
3> Go to Tcode-RSA6 in ECC system to check whether your DS is available..if it is there then its been activated.
4>Go to Extract Checker tcode RSA3 and test the data and make sure data is correct.
5>login to BW Side..go to tcode RSA1-->Choose your source system. ECC -> double click on it and you will move to Data source>Select your Application component ex, SD,FI ...>Right click and replicate the Datasouce> Now on refresh you can see the datasource in BI System.
6>Install the related the Infoprovider .. cube or dso ..Connect the datasouurce and create Transformation.
7> Now create infopackage and run it in ful & init mode then do the delta for the new records.

Read data from SharePoint using ABAP sql command

We need to read data from a SharePoint site and update the sap object services with the information. There is a lot of information on how to put data into Sharepoint from SAP, but we need to get data from SharePoint and put it into SAP. Is it possible to retrieve data from SharePoint using sql command in ABAP program? If it is possible, what do we need to do to have SAP recognize where to get the SharePoint data?

Hi Newman,
You can use native sql in your abap code to read data from SharePoint's database. But I would suggest you to generate a SharePoint webservice which can provide you the neccessary data so that you can consume this webservice in ABAP
(Will be quite faster than native sql).

Extraction of Data from ECC using ABAP Stage in Datastage

We are required to extract the customer master data from GFIMS SAP ECC5.0 system. This extraction involves fetching of data from 5 different tables. To attain this we are using ABAP stage in DATASTAGE.
For every run the ABAP stage of DataStage generates the ABAP program in DataStage, will place it in the SAP system and extract the data by executing the ABAP program.
To be able to use this ABAP stage we need to integrate the DataStage with SAP system. We have to send the cofiles and data files to SAP, these files will install a RFC enabled function module and user profile components in SAP.
They say, there is a security flaw in the function module component and this will lead to exposing of complete SAP system to outside members.
Please advise me to do alternative Ways.

You dont see the data source in R3? When you created the data source using Tcode RSO2 you would have put the data source under some application like SD, MM etc.
Please check in the respective application for your data source. If still the data source is still not seen, then check whether the data source is active or not.

Presumably you are referring to the 'often heated' back-and-forth that sometimes goes on in the forums when people refer to ANY PL/SQL type using a term with the word 'table' in it?
Curious that you then show an example of a nested table!

The 'right term' for that is 'nested table'. The following would be an 'associative array' or 'index-by table'

Those used to be called 'PL/SQL tables' or 'index-by tables' but 'associative array' is the current term used.
Associative Arrays
An associative array (formerly called PL/SQL table or index-by table) is a set of key-value pairs. Each key is a unique index, used to locate the associated value with the syntax variable_name(index).
The data type of index can be either a string type or PLS_INTEGER.
Since the Oracle docs often use 'PL/SQL table' or 'index-by table' it isn't unusual for someone asking a question to use those terms also. Technically the types may not be 'tables' but it's clear what they mean when they use the term.
In PL/SQL the term 'nested table' is still used even though the PL/SQL collection is not really a table. SQL does have nested tables where the data is actually stored in a table. The PL/SQL 'nested table' type can be used as the source/destination of the SQL data from a nested table so that may be why Oracle uses that term for the PL/SQL type.

How to fetch the data from the table COEP for WBS element,cost center,,,,,?

I would like to retrive the data from the table COEP ,based on KOKRS,BELNR fields.
I need the output for Cost centre, cost element, wbs element,net work ,activity.
These values are storing OBJNR ,OBJNAR_1,OBJNR_2,OBJNR_N3.
But here always these field are not giving the correct values.
for example : for one record COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_1 field,
for one record COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_2 field,
for one record COST CENTRE vlaue is storing in OBJNR_3 field.
Here SAP has used a generic approach for this.
How can I dispaly the values in this case ?

How to Fetch a data from HR Master Tables?

HI,
For all employees who have Infotype 0194 records valid in the time period or payroll period selected who have the vendor selected on the selection screen, you have to read the payroll results and find the Garnishment document in the GRORD if it exists. If a time period is selected, you must search for all payroll results with a check date that falls in that time period. If a payroll period is selected, search for that particular payroll and any off-cycle payroll whose check date falls between the begin date and end date of that pay period.
Once you searched IT 0194 for Employees (EE) with the Garnishment Vendor selected and then found the payroll results to process, you must search through payroll internal GRDOC and find the same vendor. If the vendor is found, search the payroll Results Table (RT) for the V0 split which matches the GRDOC record. Then use this amount(s) for the Deduction Amount field.

How to fetch latest data from database instead of clicking on Generate report in RSRT?

We are not able to get latest data of BEx query.Everytime we have to click on Generate Report button in RSRT for getting latest value.
Is there any way to get latest value automatically? We are not doing any changes in query.
When we click on Generate Report it is fetching data from Database instead of cache,so if it is possible to disable cache or any other workaround?
We have used time(0TIME) characteristic in query as a formula variable. We have applied a condition on that variable to fetch the first record (latest value). When we click on generate report, it fetches correct value with latest time but when we run the query without generate report, it is not fetching latest value. The cube on which this query is developed, is a realtime cube.

But, the issue is, It is expecting to provide the column name for comparison. But, in my case, column name is dynamic. So, i cannot provide the column name directly for comparison.

How to fetch the data from a standard report to a user defined report

Hi,
i m using a standard report RFEBKA00 which uses CHAR300 variable(it is not used in selection screen).
can u help me ,
to collect the data from CHAR300 and to use it in my own report.

you have to use SUBMMIT and send the parameters of your selection screen to the standard submmit prorgram...
beliow is the program for you .... just pick the selection parameter and pass corresponding parameter in the Submit which i mention as ...... replace with = and parameter in the selection screen.
