A work around:
Use another interface File to file (By pass) using file adapter which does the mask exclusion of the file which are not required.

    Hi

By using File adapter we can send the data

Like this i want to send the data through SFTP.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

I had a same question long time back.
The way to do this is - Exchange the server keys ( Your admin can generate it)
Install the keys ( server keys ) from the target system in your source server ( where you have SFTP adapter installed). If you have user id and password you can choose in the drop down of the SFTP adapter.
Yes, FIle adapter is configured to pick the file and virual receiver.
Another pointer was - there are some fields which are mandatory like mapping where you can use DUMMY.
To send to the target - configure the receiver adapter.
Make sure your fire wall is open for the port needed for SFTP.

  • How many files can i send

Having been forced from SendNow to Send, is there a way around the 50 file limit?

    Hi dporterphotography,
Please see this forum thread: Re: Is there any way around the limit of 50 files in Adobe Send?
One way around this limit is to zip up your files and send them in batches.

  • How to log inbound messages for Seeburger OFTP-Adapter

    Hello,
we use the XI 3.0 SP9 with the Seeburger OFTP-Adapter to exchange EDI (ODETTE) Messages. At the moment we have the problem, that we don't see any inbound calls from our edi-partner in the logfiles of the oftp-Adapter. We can successfully connect to the ofpt-adapter by using telnet (as described in the documentation).
Do anybody know, how we can log the incoming calls?
    Thanks!
    Stefan

    Hello Stefan,
the SEEBURGER Adapters are using  the certified AdapterFramework Log Infrastructure. You can for example see the Logfiles with the J2EE Engine LogViewer.
First you have to make sure anything is logged: In the "Log Configurator" you find in the
    |ROOT/Applications/Exchange Infrastructure/
    category a child named
    |  .../AdapterFramework/ThirdPartyRoot/
under this subtree there is the
    |   .../SEEBURGER/
tree where you find the technical adapters (like OFTP). Define here an loglevel of INFO or DEBUG.
Then you can access the logs in the J2EE Administrator service "Log Viewer":
    |Cluster/Server 0/usr\sap/
    |..SID\DEVBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log
    |....applications
    |......com.seeburger.xi.oftp
    |........oftp.log
You can also see this as a file on the system where the AF is installed (however it is better readable with the Log viewer):
    /usr/sap/XIT/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/og/applications/com.seeburger.xi.oftp
I have some screenshots which will make this more clear, please drop me an email so I can send them to you: [email protected]

  • How to handle empty file using sftp adapter

    Hi,
Please explain me how to handle empty files in sftp adapter.
    Thanks,
    Enivass

    Hi Enivaas,
I don't have the seeburger sftp adapter at hand at the moment, but asfar as I remember, this does not specifically have an empty-file handling option like the standard ftp adapter.
So to stop emtyp files from being written, guess would need to handle this at the mapping level. For example, check for target creation criteria in the header node in mapping. If the creation criteria is not met, you can throw an error in mapping.
You may also incorporate this condition in your Receiver determination. In this case, if the condition is not satisfied, no receiver is determined in PI.

  • Sending empty files using SFTP Adapter

I am trying to send empty files using SFTP adapter. The interface has to send the file whether its empty file or containing data using SFTP adapter. I am using BizTalk Server 2013 R2. Is it a bug or the hotfix is already there for this issue.

The issue here is not your SFTP not able to send 0KB files, but the file receive adapter that is receiving the file. The file adapter deletes 0 KB files and doest not transmit it further.
If u have a ftp receive for example you should be able to send 0KB files.
If u have a custom file receive adapter , is it handling 0KB files ?

  • Chain interfaces to set file name in sender channel dynamically

    Hi,
I have a requirement to use the Seeburger SFTP adapter to import a file from an external server to an SAP ECC system.
The adapter must be Seeburger as the protocol has to be SFTP, not FTPS as with the File adapter.
Although I can set a wildcard selection, I really want to poll for specific filenames with predetermined naming criteria.
The sender SFTP communication channel doesn't provide any options to specify dynamic attributes but I wonder if I can link several interfaces together, please can you confirm if the following process would work conceptually:
    1) SAP ECC program runs and determines the fixed filename that I wish to import (e.g. file_abc123.xml).
    2) SAP ECC program calls an outbound proxy with a mapping to set the relevant parameter in dynamic configuration ('http://seeburger.com/xi' is the namepsace, 'dtSubject' is the parameter name for the filename of the SFTP adapter).  Besides mapping I think the Seeburger attribute mapper module could also be used to set this value.
    3) The outbound proxy is configured on the receiver side to call an SFTP sender channel (with a dummy/blank payload as we're only calling the interface to allow settng of the filename to take place) which links to an inbound service interface on the SAP ECC receiver side.
I don't know whether chaining of service interfaces in this fashion (receiving interface also being a sender) is a viable approach or whether there are any alternatives.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alan

    Hi Alan,
Are the specific file names that you are polling for going to be changing or will they be fixed?  Are each of the unique names going to be processed using the same interface?  If so then I would just create multiple SFTP sender channels that poll at different intervals but use the same mappings, etc.

    Ryan Crosby

    Check the following...
    1. Make sure you don't have any scripts running at your target folder.
Example: If you are reading your file from TEST folder make sure you don't have any scripts running here.
    2. In File Setting section make sure you uncheck Delete file checkbok.

  • Error in Seeburger SFTP receiver in append mode.

    Hi,
I am trying to do content conversion in Seeburger SFTP adapter at the receiver side and was successfully able to create the first CSV record.
I am using append mode in receiver adapter.
But when sent another record from sender; I got below error.
Always, first record gets processed successfully then second and subsequent records always fails.
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: com.sap.aii.af.ra.cci.XIRecoverableException: >> Description: putFile: Target filename <out.txt>; Flags set: appending=<true>; ; Reason: Failed to convert Ace to the native form.>> Details: putFile: Target filename <out.txt>; Flags set: appending=<true>; ; Reason: Failed to convert Ace to the native form.>>SendingStatus: NOT_TRANSMITTED>>FaultCategory: COMPONENT_ERROR>>Retryable: true>>Fatal: true, >> Description: putFile: Target filename <out.txt>; Flags set: appending=<true>; ; Reason: Failed to convert Ace to the native form.>> Details: putFile: Target filename <out.txt>; Flags set: appending=<true>; ; Reason: Failed to convert Ace to the native form.>>SendingStatus: NOT_TRANSMITTED>>FaultCategory: COMPONENT_ERROR>>Retryable: true>>Fatal: true
    Regards,
    Anirudh.

    An update.
Error message "Unable to convert ACE to native format" means it is not able to convert A SCII C ompatible E ncoding to the native encoding which is used in file system.
I am unable to make head or tail of it... I am doing content conversion in adapter module tab and have specified Transform.ContentType = text/plain;charset=utf-8
The file which gets generated is of ANSI encoding and doesn't appear to be a problem as it works when the file gets generated for the first time.
Also, it works OK when I use unique file name in receiver adatper where 1 file for each record is generated.
The problem is only in append mode.
When checked in Seeburger RWB, there was inconsistency in file details for messages.
For the successful message, file details were:
    File details
    Host LTFBG-ANIRUD-PI.com
    Path /out
    File name OUT.CSV
    Remote file name OUT.CSV
Detailed status description PUT command for file <OUT.CSV> has been performed successfully.
whereas, for failed messages it was:
    File details
    Host LTFBG-ANIRUD-PI.com
    Path /out
    File name null
    Remote file name null
Detailed status description Error on send, will be retried
    Could that be product error?
Has anyone faced this problem before?
    regards,
    Anirudh.

  • Seeburger SFTP - File Adapter -- Filename in reciever channel

I am using a Seeburger SFTP Sender channel, and a "FILE" channel configured to use FTP.
I need to have the FTP adapter to write the file name as it was sent by the SFTP adatper.
I looks like I will need to use variable substitutions to do this, but I can't figure out how to populate a variable with the http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtSubject that contains the file name from the SFTP Adapter.

All you need is 1 UDF that retrieves the value of dynamic configuration. The name space is http://seeburger.com/xi/common/dtSubject as you said. I am not sure the technical name for FileName for Seeburger adapter. But you can see this in SXMB_MONI under the dynamic configuration node. Using this value populate the dynamic configuration with name space http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File and technical name FileName. This represents the file name for standard File adapter.

    Jai
