How to filter HTML javadoc output ?

Hi all,
I would like to create a specific HTML javadoc output for a given source code tree.
Each class or method to be displayed is tagged with a specific (proprietary) tag, and I would like to create a Javadoc HTML tree with ONLY these classes and methods. The other ones should not be available in the HTML output.
Is is possible simply ? or do I have to modify the original Javadoc sources, as I saw in many replies, and use directly this modified "standard" doclet ?
Last question, but not so simple : i would like my doclet to be compiled under both JDK 1.4 and 1.5.
Do I have to modify both original sources and create 2 different "tools.jar" files, one for each JDK ?
thanx in advance for any tips !
brgds,
Philippe

Yes, if your code depends on the standard doclet code, and not just the
Doclet API, some of it would need to be rewritten between 1.4 and 1.5.
The standard doclet was refactored to create a "toolkit" -- much of the code
was moved around in order for this toolkit to be used by the MIF doclet.
Javadoc 1.5 contains the following check in AbstractDoclet.java that
prevents any doclet other than the standard HTML doclet from running.
This check was added because the toolkit has not been developed
enough, and the Java team did not want the toolkit API to be available
yet.
private static final String TOOLKIT_DOCLET_NAME = new
    com.sun.tools.doclets.formats.html.HtmlDoclet().getClass().getName();
private boolean isValidDoclet(AbstractDoclet doclet) {
    if (! doclet.getClass().getName().equals(TOOLKIT_DOCLET_NAME)) {
        configuration.message.error("doclet.Toolkit_Usage_Violation",
            TOOLKIT_DOCLET_NAME);
        return false;
    return true;
}So you could modify this source file to accept your doclet and compile and
replace it with the one in tools.jar
Alternatively, you could run your doclet using "java" rather than "javadoc",
placing the 1.4 tools.jar file ahead of (or instead of) the 1.5 tools. jar file in
the classpath. I do something like this:
$ java -classpath "1.4tools.jar:1.5tools.jar" com.sun.tools.javadoc.Main <doclet_options>Please let us know if this works.

    How to convert HTML report output in Excel.
    I have reports which output is coming in HTML format & the same I want to use in Excel.
    So tell me how I can covert the same in Excel.
    Thanks
    Sudhir

    hello,
    in your case, you might want to make the following :
    a) use DESFORMAT=HTML
    b) use MIMETYPE=application/vnd.msexcell (or whatever mimetype your excel application is bound to)
    i am nor sure if excel will understeand our HTMLCSS (which is actually HTML4.0 using layers for best possible rendering of the paper page in the browser).

  • How to retrieve complete report output in HTML format

    Hi,
    I'm looking for how to retrieve complete report output in HTML format.
    I have tried the following and it only give me first page of the report output where in the actual report output should be 5 pages. Is there something I'm missing.
    CallbackOption[] boCallOpt = new CallbackOption[1];
    ImageManagement boImgMan = new ImageManagement();
    boImgMan.setCallbackScript("getImage.jsp");
    boImgMan.setImageManagementHolder("imageName");
    boImgMan.setDocumentReferenceHolder("docRef");
    boCallOpt[0] = boImgMan;
    RetrieveData oRetrieveData = new RetrieveData();
    RetrieveView oRetrieveView = new RetrieveView();
    oRetrieveView.setCallbackOption(boCallOpt);
    oRetrieveData.setRetrieveView(oRetrieveView);
    Action[] oActions;
    oActions = new Action[1];
    oActions[0] = fillPrompts;
    oReportEngine.getDocumentInformation(boDocInfo.getDocumentReference(), null, oActions, null,oRetrieveData);
    Testing this on BOE XI 3.0
    Thanks,

    For Web Intelligence, HTML is an interactive viewing format and not an export format such as PDF.
    Note that the HTML will be embedded with postback URLs to the application for images and drill downs.
    Closest you'd get is to be able to specify HTML output of an entire REPORT rather than REPORT_PAGE in the ViewSupport.setViewMode method.  But this brings back just one report in the document, and will have postback URLs mentioned above.

    Ted Ueda

  • How can i Open a Captivate 7 HTML 5 Output in IoS / Android

    Greetings,
    I have been delivering captivate 7 HTML 5 outputs.... but now when i try to open  them in Iphone or Anroid its giving erros.
    Iphone: No LRS: DATA Cannot be stored
    Anroid: enable Java script in your browser
    Can someone guide me (share a step by step doc) on the best way to get this output compatable with IoS/Anroid?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Debadrita

    It seems like you are publishing with the TinCan API settings, and you don't have an LRS set up. You need to check with your LMS/ LRS provider on this.
    Try publishing it as a SCORM output and test it.
    Also, which version of iOS are you testing this with? Captivate 7 output has not been tested on iOS 7, so you might see a few surprises when you test on iOS 7 devices.

  • How can I generate javadoc in PDF format?

    Hi,
    How can I generate javadoc in PDF format?
    Thanks,

    HTML to PDF with Java, using OpenOffice.org - example here: [http://www.dancrintea.ro/html-to-pdf/|http://www.dancrintea.ro/html-to-pdf/]
    You can use OpenOffice.org, running as a server and command it remotely for document convertion.
    Besides HTML to PDF, there are also possible other convertions:
    doc --> pdf, html, txt, rtf
    xls --> pdf, html, csv
    ppt --> pdf, swf
    Code example:
    import officetools.OfficeFile; // this is my tools package
    FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(new File("c:/test.html"));
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(new File("c:/test.pdf"));
    // suppose OpenOffice.org runs on localhost, port 8100
    OfficeFile f = new OfficeFile(fis,"localhost","8100", true);
    f.convert(fos,"pdf");

    To use the technical name of a Key Figure defined in the Query does not work.

    Hi Cherie,
    This is exactly the type of problem that I'm currently trying to figure out. I'm trying to following your solution but I'm not clear on how you actually achieved this in you last note. I want to dynamically select actuals/budget column fields based on what period I enter. I thought about creating 12 separate RKF fields for actuals and 12 separate RKF fields for the budget reforecast and outputting these all and then doing some VBA to hide the fields not required based on which period was selected... how is your variable ZFYAPER7 defined and calculated?
    Cheers

  • Transforming XML source to (X)HTML StreamResult outputs long comment

    Hi,
    I'm using javax.xml.transform.* to transform XML data into an XHTML page. The XML data represents a document (contains information about headers, paragraphs, related pages, etc.) and an XSL file is used to properly transform that data into an XHTML compatible file. All transformations go just as they should, however, the XHTML output contains a very lenthy comment about elements and attributes concerning HTML. Obviously, I do not want this comment in my final output. As a side note: I'm using a StreamSource(File) for the XML data source, a StreamSource(File) for the XSL file and a StreamResult(HttpServletResponse.getOutputStream()) for the HTML output. I'm not sure wether the problem is with using a StreamResult directly (rather than a SAXResult), or because I'm outputting directly to the servlet output stream. All input and output is in UTF-8, and the HttpServletResponse has been configured using setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8") and setContentType("text/html").
    Everything works fine, except I get this stinkin' long comment, which I want gone.
    Thanks,

  • How to use html tags inside java

    I have to retrieve data from db and return the data to my index.jsp page.
    Its working fine.
    But I have o display in a pable format using html. How to embed html tags? I tried this way. Its not working. Any suggestions?
       String htmlOpen = "<html>";
        String htmlEnd = "</html>";
        String titleOpen ="<title>";
        String titleEnd ="</title>";
        String bodyOpen = "<body>";
        String bodyEnd = "</body>";
        for (int i = 1; i <= cols;i++){
            output = output + rsmd.getColumnName(i);
         while (rst.next()) {
            for (int i = 1; i <= cols;i++){
                      output = output +rst.getString(i);
      result = htmlOpen + titleOpen + titleEnd + bodyOpen + output+ bodyEnd + htmlEnd;
        stmt.close();
        conn.close();
         return htmlOpen;
      }

    See those charcters in your JSP that look like "<%"? Those characters mean: "the code after this is Java - interpret it as such".
    Then when you close your Java block with "%>", it then means: "the code after this is html - output it to the request response that is being built. However, within the html code, the syntax "<%= java_variable_name %>" means "take the current value of that Java variable and insert it into the html output".
    Here's an example:
    %>
    <table cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2" border="1">
    <tr>
    <%
        String s = null;
        for (int i = 1; i <= ncol; i++)
          s = rsmd.getColumnName(i);
    %>
      <th nowrap><A HREF="<%=sortLink.toString()%>&sortby=<%=s%>"><%= s %></th>
    <%
    %>
    </tr>
    <%
        if (rs == null || numRows <= 0)
          %><tr><td colspan="10" nowrap>No data available for specified query.</td></td><%
        else
          int rowCounter = 0;
          while(rs.next() && rowCounter < PAGE_SIZE)
            rowCounter++;
    %>
      <tr><%
            for (int i = 1; i <= ncol; i++)
              s = rs.getString(i);
              if (rsmd.getColumnName(i).equalsIgnoreCase("password"))
                    %><td nowrap>********</td>
    <%
              else
                %><td nowrap><%= s %></td>
    <%
            %></tr><%
    %>
    </table>This is JSP 101, what they teach in the first hour of class...
    Here's a decent JSP tutorial:

  • How can we generate javadocs with Jdev3

    Hello,
    I'm using JDeveloper3 to create some javabeans. I don't know how I can generate javadocs from JDeveloper3 with JDK1.2.2
    Nicolas

    With this information I don't think, that the 7334 is the right board for your application. The 7334 is a motion control board for stepper motors. As control signals it provides a step signal with variable frequency and a direction signal (high or low for fwd. or rev. direction). The step signal is generated onboard and controls the motor's trajectory (acceleration, velocity, travel distance). The duty cycle of this signal can't be changed by the control program, so this signal can't be used for your application.
    The PWM outputs provided by the 7334 is static. That means, you can set frequency and duty cycle only in software, which is quite slow and introduces significant and non-deterministic jitter (due to the asynchronous communication to the 7334 this is even true if you are using a real-time operating system). These limitations don't seem to meet your requirements.
    I still don't have a good idea about your timing requirements. If your response times requirments are in the upper milisecond regions (10 ms and above), you might be able to use the 7334. If low jitter and fast response times are important to your application, there are several alternative solutions including LabVIEW Real-Time with a multifunction data acquisition board and LabVIEW FPGA with an R-Series board.

  • Sorry about first try : how to avoid html-text tag converting & to & amp;

    subject
    how to avoid html:text tag converting "&" to "& amp;"?
    body
    hi,
    i have some values on DB like "& #351;" and when i use html:text to
    show binding's value, html:text converts "&" to "& amp;". in generated
    html, it looks like "& amp;#351;".
    how to avoid this conversion?
    thanks...
    Ayhan Gngr
    note: i use white-space among special characters because browser renders them. ex : (& amp; to &)

    hi, i use property attribute of html:text.
    property is declared in UIModel xml file.
    i mean, i don't use something like
    <html:text value="data"/>i use just like
    <html:text property="bindingName"/>and value is shown in generated html input tag as value.
    html:text has no attribute like filter.
    i think i should override html:text tag, and create a new tag that checks if value includes "& #351;" this type data. If there is, don't convert "&" to "& amp;"?
    any suggestions?
    thanks...
