Is there a best practice for deleting a published report from C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\FileStore on Crystal Reports Server or can I just delete the subfolders?  Does it reference them elsewhere?  I have a load of old reports I need to shed, but can't see how to do it.

You can refer the SRND guide. As per document (page -292)

  • How to find the deleted data in tables

    guys,
how to find the deleted data in tables example: i want to see whether anyone deleted data in MB5B report tables like mbew, etc.,
    regards,

    Hi,
MBEWH is actually the history table of MBEW. It will record all the changes. As I have told you earlier if you have deleted the record dirctly from the table then it will not come even in the table MBEWH
That means no changes have been made.

  • Discoverer Report: How to find Business Area name from Report Name.

    Hi
I opened a report in Disco Desktop 4 -> Resonsibiolity --> Report Name.
So I know Report name but don’t know which Business Area it belongs to.
How to find Business Area Name from Report Name?
    Cheers
    Vijay

    Hi,
There is no relationship between reports and business areas. Each report can be built from many folders. Each folder can be in many business areas.
However you can try the following SQL which may give you the result you want for an v5 EUL. You will have to modify for Discoverer 4 EUL:
    select distinct doc_name, obj.obj_name folder_name, bas.ba_name
    from eul_us.eul5_documents doc
    , eul_us.eul5_elem_xrefs xref
    , eul_us.eul5_expressions exp
    , eul_us.eul5_objs obj
    , eul_us.eul5_ba_obj_links bol
    , eul_us.eul5_bas bas
    where xref.ex_from_id = doc.doc_id
    and doc.doc_name = &your_report
    and xref.ex_to_id = exp.exp_id
    and obj.obj_id = exp.it_obj_id
    and bol.bol_obj_id = obj.obj_id
    and bas.ba_id = bol.bol_ba_id

  • How to find the list of Queries/Reports which are using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI?

    Hi All,
We are interested to know how to find the list of Queries/ Reports which are using Exceptional aggregation in SAP BI.
Please let us know is there any table's to check the list of reports using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI.

    Hi,
    Here you go..
    1) Go to table RSZCALC and get list of ELTUID where AGGREXC is not INITIAL and AGGRCHA is not initial; now you get only exception aggregation set based on some chars. Also you can further add STEPNR = 1 since your intention is just to get query name , not the calculation details; this will reduce number of entries to lookup and save DB time for next steps.
Here you will get list of exception aggregation UUID numbers from which you can get properties from RSZELTDIR.
    2) Pass list of RSZCALC-ELTUID to table RSZELTXREF - TELTUID and get list of RSZELTXREF -SELTUID - this table stores query to it's elements maping kind.
    3) Now again pass RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into same table but into different field RSZELTZREF - TELTUID and get RSZELTXREF - SELTUID
This step you get query reference sheet or column or query general UUID for next step.
    4) Pass list of RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into RSZELTDIR - ELTUID with DEFTP as 'REP'. Now you get list of query names in RSZELTDIR - MAPNAME and description in TXTLG.
Note: you can also get the reference chars used for exception aggregation from RSZCALC - AGGRCHA field.
    Hope this helps.
Please keep in mind, it might take more time depends on how many query elements you have in the system...

  • How i can ristrict my BI Publisher report in Dashboards.

    Dear All,
How i can ristrict my BI Publisher report in Dashboards.
I have different branches in my report .
I have to send my report split by branches and have to give security to that branch user.
Is it posible in BIP or i have to do in Data Base Level.
I need more information on dashboards
    Regards
    Subbu..

    Hi Subbu,
Apology for delay in reading your post.
Your needs and their solution are,
'split by branches ' - use bursting capability of BI Publisher
'have to give security to that branch user' - make out the report in specific folder and dashboard in BI Dashboard. Then give role based and grouped access to users to this Dashboard. For this navigate in BI Application to Settings > Admin > Manage Presentation Catalog. here you can setup dashboard specific security.

  • How to find and delete duplicate photos in photo app

how to find and delete duplicate photos in photo app

Photos has no built-in tools to screen the library for duplicates. It relies on the warning on import, that should prevent you from importing duplicates.
Once duplicate shave been imported, delete them manually, or use third-party tools.
For example, these new apps claim to work with Photos:
    Power photos:  Fat Cat Software
Duplicate annihilator: Brattoo Propaganda Software - Products

  • How run the run the BI Publisher report for current/active/selected record

    Hi,
I have one requirement to generate a BI Publisher report in Siebel, which will run on SR's List view. Report should fetch the active SR and its audit trial entities. I know this was achieved easily using Actuate (simply setting "current Recrod only" to true), but I need how to achieve this in BI publisher.
This report we are creating is in Siebel-BI Publisher integrated environment, not connecting to database. Can body give share your valuble inputs.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

In my experience with Siebel 8.1.1 and BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.0 when you generate a report from a Siebel View the report will show all data visible on the view. If you wish to have only a few particular records in the report you must query for them first in Siebel then generate the report again. There is useful article describing how to generate the report for the current record but it does require some config on the applet.

  • How to print output of XML Publisher report in different trays of a printer

    Hi All,
I have a requirement in XML Publisher Report. I need to print all pages other than last one in one tray of a printer and the last page has to be printed in another tray of the same printer.
    Can anyone help me out...

I do not think it is possible to send all the pages to one tray and send only the last page to a different tray. However, you may review the following notes:

  • How to find and delete duplicate photos

I have combined photos from various sources, friends, family, etc. and have found that there are many photos that are the same. I have been trying to find a way to find and delete all the duplicates but am unable to do so.
    Anyone have any ideas please?
    Many thanks
    Roger

There is no automated may to find and delete duplicates, but importing using iPhoto will report duplicates if you attempt to import the same photo twice. I'm not sure if you have photos that are exact duplicates or photos taken on the same occasion but, in any case, it may be a matter of viewing the photos in date order and deleting duplicates as you scroll through. These will stay in the iPhoto trash until emptied.
It may be that this would help, though I haven't used it: http://www.ironicsoftware.com/deep/ (With acknowledgements to Terence Devlin).

  • How to find and delete multiple overlapping cut contour paths?

    Help!
Background: My job requires that I print vinyl cut letters and shapes. I do this by creating a cut contour path in illustrator with a spot color as a stroke, so that once printed, there will be instructions on the print showing where to cut and the cutter will recognize the marks.
My problem is that, for some reason, the cutter is going back over the cut path a 2nd time, as if there is more than one cut contour path in the file. But looking at the eps file in Illustrator, I don't see any extra overlapping paths with another stroke. It just looks like there is one pink line so it's very frustrating to know that there are actually extra cut paths that the cutter is reading that I don't know about. Is there a way for me to either A) find all of the paths and turn off the spot color swatch on all of them and just apply it to the one I need or B) find all paths and delete overlapping ones that I don't need?
Someone also suggested that I might be getting extra overlapping cut paths in different Layers(?) I'm just really not sure what to do or how to find these and weed them out. Any help would be appreciated. I am relatively new to Illustrator and haven't found it a very intuitive program to learn, but maybe I just need a lot more practice.
    Thank you!

You need to rebuild the file, as there is no way to fix any overalapping or duplicate paths.
I make a layer for every color of vinyl, and then drag the selection square to the proper color layer. When done you can use the pathfinder command to unite each layer, to get rid of duplicate shapes.
You alwasy want to proof before you send to cut, by doing a command Y to view your work in outline mode.
