How to find abandoned podcasts

I am searching for sports podcasts that have discontinued producing episodes. How do I go about finding them? My iTunes version is up-to-date.

Podcasts which stop updating may be removed from the Store, though it's not consistent (my own hasn't been updated for several years but is still there).
If a discontinued podcast hasn't been removed it will still be searchable like any other podcast. If it has been removed (and if the feed has gone offline it certainly will have been) then it's not available, period.
If it's been removed but the feed is still available then you can subscribe manually provided you can find the feed URL.

  • How to find out podcast's URL (to add it manually; iTunes Store error -9812

I'm trying to subscribe to the free podcast called TEDtalks. I've located it in the iTunes Store, but when I hit "subscribe", I get "unknown error -9812". Same thing when I try to log in to the store. Nothing I've tried helps resolve this error (it started after I added some SSL certificates to my keychain). Anyway, I want to add the URL to this podcast to iTunes manually (through the Advanced menu). How do I find out the URL? I've done this before for other podcasts, but I just can't seem to figure out what the URL is for this one. I can subscribe to it on another Mac; if I do that, can I get it to display the URL it's using so that I can add it by hand?

That is a bit of a nuisance as the site itself does not have an easily visible URL for the podcast. Fortunately, a Google search comes up with Learn Out Loud which shows this:
as the feed URL. Copy and paste that into the advanced menu of iTunes.
awesome!! Thank you so much. The darn TED website doesn't have it and I spent a lot of time googling looking for it. And the iTunes store doesn't let me log in. But this does the trick - fantastic.

  • How to find my podcast page in iTunes??

    Hello everyone,
I have made a video podcast and have tried searching for it in iTunes music store so I can link directly to it from my webpage. When I search my name, or the name of the blog, I always get "no results".
I created this with Blogger and Feedburner and then submmitted to iTunes and was able to subscribe by putting in the feed address into iTunes manually. The feed address is here http://feeds.feedburner.com/adamwarnerspodcast
Please know that these are test videos only.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully someone can offer advice. Here is the update on what is happening.
I have added links to videos in my blog, published blog.
I have pinged feedburner and was successful.
I have run my feed through Feed Validator and it was successful.
I manually pinged iTunes and they returned a "Podcast Ping Received...No Podcast Found For This Ping Request."
When I search the iTunes music store under Podcasts, I do not receive any matches for my podcast.
When I manually subscribe to my podcast using "Advanced->Subscribe to Podcast....then put in my feed address, I can connect and download all episodes.
If iTunes can find it manually, whay can't it find it during pinging? Can anyone offer any thoughts as to why this may be happening? Here's my info....

    Thanks for any assistance!

  • How to find abandoned profiles/numbers?

Hi we are using CUCM 9.1 and extension mobility. Users are synced to the LDAP Directory. Users are comming and leaving as it is usual in big firms.
Now I have got the problem that the users aren´t deleted in LDAP immediatly after they have left the company.
So I got many abandon profiles.
Is there a way to find free extensions/profiles?

You will need to do this manually if the AD account is still present, most companies handle these via change control process where IT/telco gets informed about people leaving and can address accordingly.

  • How do i download podcast on my PC? Its asking me to type in the podcast name ending in xml but where do i find the rest ???

How do I download podcast onto my pc? I already do have iTunes. It ask me to type in podcast name ending in xml then click on install but where is the rest of the name?? where do I find this? Might be something simple I just seem to miss. Help!!! lol

The easiest way to subscribe to a podcast is locate it in a directory. There will normally be a link with the URL of the feed. This is like any other link but your podcatcher, iTunes in this case, knows how to read the text file stored there to access the individual episodes and download or stream them for you. If you know the name of the podcast, and it is registered with iTunes you can go into the podcasts section of your iTunes library, click iTunes Store, then use the search box at the top right. If you have the full URL for the podcast you can use File > Subscribe to Podcast..., or you can use a link on the providers web site.
Using the iTunes directory is usually the easiest way.
Click on the link for the podcast (4) to open the next screen,
and either subscribe (5) or download individual episodes without subscribing (6).

How can we add podcast providers?
I would like to watch some stanford university podcasts on my tv, but apple tv cannot find them, where as ipad, ipod and itunes library can find it from my pc.
    Thx

Content accessibility does not seem to be identical across devices - are these podcasts full HD ? If so that may be the reason as AppleTV can only output 720p.
Not sure if some iTunes U content cannot be accessed.
You could potentially download to iTunes and stream from there if you need to watch them on the TV and they're 720p or less.

Are you talking about imessage?  If you receive a imessage with a bunch of other number included, best way to reply is to send a new text to the sender, so that way only that person receives the reply and not the whole group.

  • I can't find my podcast using search

Hello, I recently started a podcast and submitted the rss feed to itunes. It was approved. I have the podcast store page. I can subscribe to it, and download each of the episodes. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to find it using search.
I've tried the name of the podcast, the name of the podcast in quotes. It contains the word "three" yet most of the results list something with the number "3".
I'd just like to know what to tell people to search so they can find it. It gets exhausting having to give them the entire link via text or email just to get them to be able to find it on itunes.

It takes between 7 and 14 days for new shows - to show up in any search results.
If you received the email with the direct link to your page over 2 weeks ago - please post that link here so we can see what your show title is in your RSS feed.
If it has been less than 2 weeks - please be patient while the iTunes store re-indexes to add in new shows.

  • I can't find the podcast I put on my iPod in iTunes to be deleted

I've subscribed to a few podcasts and they seem to be filed in a different place on my iPod than on iTunes. I solved this problem for listening purposes by making a SmartPlaylist on my iPod so I could listen to the weekly podcast. But now that I've listened to it, I would like to delete last week's episode to clear room for next week's. But the only place I can find the podcast listed on my iPod when it's connected to iTunes is under that SmartPlaylist, and that won't allow me to delete the podcast episode off my iPod, only from the playlist. How can I find the podcast to delete it?
    Gateway   Windows XP

in itunes click on the podcast menu on the left side of the main menu. from there you should be able to find the episode you wish to delete adn you can delete it from there. then upon the next sync with your ipod and itunes the episode should be deleted from the ipod.

  • Can't find my podcast/Editing Podcast

I recieved the email telling me that apple accepted my podcast and that it'd be posted in a few hours and it contained a link to click to see when the podcast was up and running. I clicked the link and podcast was in the store and sent the link to some other friends who were also able to subscribe to the podcast... now here's my problems:
    1. When I do the power search I can't find my podcast... does anyone have and Ideas on how to find it?
    2. When I submitted my RSSFEED.xml I forgot to give it an author and description so I updated the RSSFEED.xml and reposted it.... my question is how long SHOULD it take for it update that info?

The best thing to do is - once you finish your feed - check it out at http://feedvalidator.org/ - and it will show you how it checks out.
Send me a link to your feed - and I'll check it out. My email is [email protected]
    Good luck!

  • How do I delete podcasts from my list, how do I delete podcasts from my list

How do I delete podcasts from my list after they are deleted from my hard drive?  Some old ones have been deleted but the ones since February are still in my list waiting to be downloaded once again.  There are 2 delete options and I'm wondering which one to use.  It no longer gives me an option to delete from my hard drive.  After deleting from my list.  It seems to delete from my hard drive and then sits there.
I would like to use automatic delete, but I need to know if I can change that to 'Save' during the 24 hour period after I'm done listening to the podcast.
This morning everything came back in.  I noticed the settings at the top were all changed to d/l all instead of just 1.  I'm confused about this whole thing and cannot find anything in the way of a tutorial on the Apple/iTunes web site.

Swipe left-to-right across the podcast, hit delete.
