Hello,
The main BADI corresponding to this workflow (N-step PO BDI workflow) is BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI.
Other BADI's whcih might be interesting to you are:
BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI --> to control the security level
BBP_CHNG_AGNT_ALLOW --> To allow/disallow adding/changnig approvers
BBP_CHNG_AGNT_GET --> Restrict the additional approvers to per-defined list

There is more than one method in which you can check for user-exits.The following method is used very often.
How to find the exact user-exit for your requirement.
1. You can check the user exists using transaction SE85.
2. Repository Information System -> Enhancements -> Customer exits
3. You can search the user-exits by package name.
4. Double click on each exit name to check the function module exits.
The procedure to find the package name.
Execute transaction SE93
Enter the tcode of the transaction for which you want to check the user exit.
Example: if you want to find the user-exit for purchase orders while changing, enter ME22n and press display.
You will get to see the package name
But you need to confirm that the user exit will get triggered at the appropriate event.
( example: you might want some validations to be done ON SAVE of a purchase order)
Checking if the user-exit is getting triggered or not.
1. Open the user exit function module (that you have got in step 4) in Tcode SE37.
2. Click on where used button. In the pop up that immediately appears choose only programs .
3. You will get a list of programs. Double click on the program name.
4. You will get the list of location where this function module user exit is used.
5. Place session break points at each of these location ( at each CALL FUNCTION statement)
6. Now go to your transaction ( say change purchase order tcode:Me22n) and check if the user exit is getting triggered on appropriate event.

welcome to SDN.
You can select the appropriate Customer exit accrding to the available parameters .
The list of exits available are
EXIT_SAPLVEDF_001
EXIT_SAPLVEDF_002
EXIT_SAPLVEDF_003
EXIT_SAPLVEDF_004
For Example , if you want to modify the Idoc data(EDIDD) you have to use the EXIT_SAPLVEDF_002. accodingly you can select the user exit according to the avaialable parametres.Use Table MODSAP fto get the Enhancement name.

How to find a badi and how to find the method/methods for a transaction?

i need to give a text either while creating customer (vd01) or changing customer(vd02)...thsi is via extras->texts.....then I have to double clik the text and go to change editor...and then i have to clik on insert line and then choose text element radiobutton on screen and then give it a name and then save it..this should be done for all customers....my problem is i am unable to find a badi and the appropriate method for thsi..i have placed break point in method read_add_on_data in the badi customer_add_data....i tested both by transactions va01 and va02 but of no use..also there are so many methods..can u tell me how do i find the appropriate method of the appropriate badi.....

How to find all the tables associated for a particular transaction

Hi-
May I know how to find all the tables, related(foreign key) tables for a transaction within SAP GUI?
Up to my technical knowledge, this can be achieved by looking database diagrams from DB level. But that would be for entire database as a whole. What I'm expecting is to see transaction level relative tables that too from SAP GUI. Please share the possibilities if any.

How to find all doc and docx files ?

In order to find all my DOC or DOCX documents I tried with Fider - ALL FILES but see no such options to narrow down this search to only DOC or DOCX
I tried with .doc and .docx but with bad results
Once I have the list with my Word documents, I want to search for the word Music inside the files.
Anyone has a suggestion?
Also tried with Spotlight, no good either.
I use Mac OS Lion

In the Finder, choose Find (Command-F). In the search criteria, choose Kind - is - Other. In the Other text box type "Microsoft Word".
If you search by extension, such as Name - Ends with - "docx", you will miss files with extension hidden.

If you want to build extractor on infoset you can create infoset in sq02
Extractors in sbiw are not build to extract data from particular tables but as part of data source for BC cubes

ps. ...and way I use to find what tables particular transaction use is:
go to this transaction screen -> system -> status -> copy program name -> go to se38 -> paste program name -> display source code -> and look for statement 'tables:' there will be list of tables this program use (this statement can be under INCLUDE XXXXXTOP)

Try the below & let me know:
1) Go to table "BUT000", enter the Partner No & get the PARTNER GUID.
2) Go to table "BBP_PDVIEW_INDEX", copy the partner GUID in the field "IPARTNER_NO". Enter BUS2121 as the OBJECT_TYPE & execute. You could even restrict the display list by the Partner function value (39 or 19).

How to find all audio and photo files?

My system stats say I have 400 megs of photos and 1.95 GB of audio. I have not put anything on this computer yet. It's brand new. I want to erase all the crap I don't need so I have maximum space for shooting photos and videos. I can't find what this audio and photo crap is from. I have searched in finder for any format I can think of and I just can't find them. How can I track down this stuff?
Also does anybody know roughly how much space is typically used on a brand new Mackbook Pro 15" out of the box with all the OS stuff?

There is a program call Grand Perspective that will scan your drive and show where everything is located. You can create filters for the things to scan for and list. It presents a graphical presentation based on file size and location on the drive. Hovering over an item will show the name, size, and where on the hard drive it is located.
Filtering for Images and Audio, I had 1.95 GB in the Library folder. Most was in the Application Support folder.

Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

I kneed to know how to find all bugs and possibly patches/QF created on top of 8.0.0.13 for bugs found in 8.0.0.13 after its release on Jan 2012. This is for my Customer that needs to know if they have to plan some QF in proactive way.

This the the way to go..just modify the col according to your table col names...
You can do a CONNECT BY query without a START WITH clause to link every node with each of its ancestors.
Getting the total is just a matter of GROUP BY.

I made this a bottom-up query (going from each node to its ancestors) rather that a top_down query (node to descendants) because you can't GROUP BY CONNECT_BY_ROOT.
In your description you implied that each node would be counted among its own descendants, but in the sample output you had 0, not 1, as the count for all the leaves, that is, managers counted as their own descendants, but non-managers did not. The column called count0 in the query above does that; the column count1 counts each node as its own descendant, leaves included.
