How to find Applied/Present Patches, Mini Packsand Family Packs in 11i

Hi,
Whats the best practice to find:-
1. Applied/Present one-off patches
2. Applied/Present minipacks and Family packs
Whats the difference in using :-
1. bug_number in ad_bugs
2. ad_applied_patches
3. the script patchset.sh
4. $AD_TOP/sql/adutconf.sql

- AD_BUGS: holds information about the various Oracle Applications bugs whose fixes have been applied (ie. patched) in the Oracle Applications installation.
- AD_APPLIED_PATCHES: holds information about the "distinct" Oracle Applications patches that have been applied. If 2 patches happen to have the same name but are different in content (eg. "merged" patches), then they are considered distinct and this table will therefore hold 2 records.
- Patchsets.sh: This program (a unix shell script) was created to help customers evaluate the currently installed Oracle Applications patchsets and Family Packs. The program compares the currently installed patchsets and family packs to the most recently available ones generated by Oracle Development. This program utilizes the the applptch.txt file for 10.7-11.0. For 11i and R12, it utilizes a combination of tables such as AD_BUGS and AD_APPLIED_PATCHES to create the installed patch list. If the 11i release does not use these AD tables (11.5.4 or lower and have not applied 11i.AD.E or higher) it still supports using applptch.txt for 11i.
- adutconf.sql: This script provides a wealth of information, including the following:
Product Group(s)
Multi-Org status
Multi-lingual status
Installed product status
Registered schemas
Installed languages

How to find out the max/min value of one field corresponding to a second field in HANA through graphical way.

Hi,
I am trying to find out the latest delivery date(EINDT) for each purchasing document (EBELN) through graphical way.
The view contains other fields apart from the above mentioned two fields.
When only the two fields (EBELN, EINDT) are there, then in semantics, I can select 'Max' as aggregation to get the maximum value for each document.
If I do like this, then I need to join more than 3 views and also so many joins in calculation view. Taking so much time for data preview.
Hence , please help me in getting the solution while the view contains other fields also.

if only two fields are then I can get the max/min values of one field corresponding to other field.
But more than two fields are there with different values, then let me know how to find out the max/min value of a particular filed corresponding to the 2nd field with other fields also should be in the output.

How to find whether the patch is applied or not in SOA?

Dear Legends,
I need to find a given patch(13615085) is applied or not in SOA Environment(RAC). I do not have O/s Level access, so I cannot issue Opatch lsinventory.
I tried
select * from dba_registry_history; - nothing is displayed.

To check patchs installed:
From Opatch
$ORACLE_HOME/Opatch> opatch lsinventory
From sql
select * from dba_registry_history;
*To execute Opatch you don't need root privileges, you can also do it from oracle user
If you don't see anything executing "select * from dba_registry_history;" You haven't any patch installed.

How to find out EHP Patch Level

Hi All,
Sorry if this has been answered before but with it hasn't or I'm terrible at finding things on here.
We have recently (this weekend) upgraded our BI 7.0 to BI7.01 (EHP1).
We've come across an issue in Java and the following note: 1354569 has a solution for us except that it's saying that this issue is resolved in SP5 or EHP1 SP4 PL5.
I can tell from our system that we are currently on EHP1 , but I can't tell what SP or patch level we're on.
The Java Kernal tells me the following: 7.01 PatchLevel 58805. (this was taking from System Information on the Java stack)
Does this mean that we're on SP5? and if so what PL ???

Hi Paul,
Go to http://<server name>:5<instance number>00. On this page log on to System Information. There you can find on which patch level you are in EHP1.
Also, if you will click on all components tab then you will come to know patch level of all components in Java.

Though in pold version I never faced such problem, But in this new version of OTN I am facing this issue.

On a Windows Operating Systems you can check the “Programs and Features” in control panel.You can see a list of both the Name and Version number of SAP BusinessObjects that is installed.
option 2:
Open CMC go to Settings. In the properties, you will find the Product Version.

Get the patch number for the relevant R12 you have, and query AD_BUGS table to verify whether you have the patch applied or not.

But there is no information about the patch severity(critical or not).
From where can I find the severity of patches?

Well, patches labeled as 'recommended' or 'security' are typically critical in one way or another (R or S in the xref).
Other than that the typical way to determine if a patch is critical to your environment or not is to read through the readme files..

Is there a way to retrieve my Itines music library? I have a Ipod mini. I deleted Quick time before having my computer hard drive cleaned of most programs. I then downloaded the new version of I tunes 7.1 which won't sync. It tells my I have a another library 6.0 i think, and do i want to sync and erase one of them. How to find a peoplesoft patch with an old Update_ID?

Change assistant still lists pre- and post-required patches with old Update_ID's (instead of ARU's)
Our CA can't connect to the outside world.
So we always searched this patches on the Peoplesoft search gateway manually.
Since July 13 this does not work since the update_ID are deprecated and for multi language there are no conversion lists available.

This how I found them after all:
Support site tab: Patches and fixes:
Search> Product or family (Advanced) and type your parameters ( in my case Product: PeopleSoft CS; Release: PeopleSoft 9.0; Language: Dutch) (or whatever you are looking for)
click search and click on the row which you looked for.
new bar opens: readme/ addtoplan/ download
click on readme
In bundle READ ME look for (Translation) Pre-Requisites:
copy the BUG _ID number(s)
Go back to patches and fixes tab in the supportsite
Search> Number/Name or Bug Number (Simple)
Set the dropdownbox on Bug Number (patch Name or Number is the default, so change it.)
Paste the BUG_ID in the field on the right.
Click Search
Click on the row you look for and download the patch.

Find applied patches-Little Diff

Hai all,
How to find out the patches applied during a particular period..
I understand that this can be done through ad_bugs and OAM.. but lets say am applying a Fpack which internally applies so many small patches..so when ad_bugs is queried, it shows all the pacthes applied with that Fpack with the family pack. But any idea how I can retrieve only the physical patch applied..In otherwords, in the above scenario, the Fpack which is applied.

Check the query in the following note.
If applied_flag returns N --> The patch was not applied with adpatch directly
If applied_flag returns Y --> The patch was applied with adpatch directly
