How to find browser is not supporting cookies using jsp/servlet?

still....... now i develope one session tracking concept in my project using cookies.
but after implementing my application to some client . Its browser dosen't support cookies.
so how to avoid this problem before implementing application.

Are you actually using cookies or you just need to retain session attributes?
You can use URL rewriting to encode the session id into urls for browsers that do not accept session cookies.
Check out HttpServletResponse.encodeURL.
Note you would have to do this for all links/forms in your web app.

  • Pandora message "Pandora believes your browser does not support modern SSL/TLS" and everything seems disabled on the site-how fix?

    I have been using Firefox for a long time as my browser and typically play Pandora while at my office most days. For the first time today I received a pop up message "Pandora believes your browser does not support modern SSL/TLS. Consider upgrading your browswer" when I logged on to Pandora. I checked and I am on the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. I am unable to control volume or log out of Pandora now. I did some google searches and found Mozilla disabled ssl3.0 due to a "Poodle" attack. Does that mean that I can no longer use Firefox as my browser when I want to listen to music on Pandora or is there "a fix"? Thanks!

    Mozilla Firefox as of Firefox 34 has the vulnerable SSL 3.0 disabled and only allows for TLS 1.0 at minimum to 1.2 now.
    https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/
    So Pandora is incorrect if they believe Firefox is not safe to use.
    Actually Pandora potentially needs to do a bit of upgrading themselves.

  • Load balancing 10g forms - Connection from new browser window not supported

    Load balancing 10g forms - Connection from new browser window not supported
    We're experimenting with using webcache to load balance between multiple applications servers running OC4J forms processes.
    We currently have one machine with infrastructure and mid-tier (BI & Forms) installed, which is being used for the webcache functionality, this is load balancing between 2 other servers each of which just have the mid-tier (BI & Forms) installation
    In order to get this to work, I had to follow the instructions in the Forms deployment guide : http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_11/web.1012/b14032/tuning.htm#sthref707
    The main gist of this is that you need to set the following in the orion-web.xml file in order that the sessions are maintained:
    <session-tracking
    cookies="enabled">
    </session-tracking>
    This all works fine in most cases.
    The problem I am having is if I do one of the following on the client machine:
    1) From IE6 / IE7 run a copy of a forms application. Then open a new window using the "New Window" menu option, and attempt to run another forms application.
    2) In IE7 or Firefox 2.0 open a copy of the forms application, and then open a new tab and try and open another forms application.
    If I try either of these I get a FRM-92101 error, and the following is displayed in the java console:
    oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Connection from new browser window not supported
    From trawling various forums (including metalink and otn) it looks like a problem with the way coockies are handled.
    Unfortunately the usual workaround is to ensure that the session tracking option in the orion-web.xml file is disabled.
    The problem is that I need this enabled in order for the load balancing to work.
    Does anyone know of any other workarounds or patches that might help resolve this?
    We're using Application server 10.1.2.0.2 running on windows 2003 servers.

    You were right. Carriage returns were stopping it from working (the document is laid out over separate lines, so I assumed it would make no difference...).
    I've now managed to get it so the forms at least run, but they are all being run in the forms OC4J instance on the same machine as the OHS.
    Has anyone actually managed to get this to work, or am I doing something wrong?
    I did wonder if using an OHS instance on a machine with no forms installation would make any difference?
    I had raised a support call via metalink on this subject, but they eventually came to the conclusion that the only way to do this is with a hardware load balancer (Despite several documents suggesting that webcache is the way to go (including the forms deployment manual)).
    I'm at the point now of giving up and writing some custom scripts to do the job instead...

  • Since I did the Firefox reset, I try to open my email and it says, Your browser does not accept cookies. I have checked the cookies setting 100 times!

    Since I did the Firefox reset, I try to open my email and it says, Your browser does not accept cookies. I have checked and done your suggested setting 100 times!

    Note that a reset tries to migrate cookies to the new profile, so if you had previously as problem with cookies then the problem might have been carried over.
    If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
    Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • Captivate 7 App packager Browser does not support some of the content message

    Hi
    I have succesfully creating a training app using the app packager for IOS (and to a certain extent android), however when you start the app a message starts up saying :"This browser does not support some of the content in the file you are trying to view.  Use IE 9 or later, Safari 5.1 or later etc. "  The interesting thing is that I am using the latest versions of both safari and chrome?
    I checked out the javascript and and althouth there is an "if then" test, clearly it is not testing correctly.  Has someone got a fix for this e.g. modifications to the code to make it work?
    Regards

  • How to find browser have java swing plugins

    how to find browser have java swing plugins

    Hi, you can detect it. If it is not there, you can make the installation automatically. Here is an example.This will not work with NN4 browser unless the user has Enable Java Plugin checked (see Edit | Preferences | Advanced. Nor will it work under IE if the user has disabled Java.
    The best solution, IMHO, is to trigger a JavaScript function and check to see if the applet is created. You can try:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>....</title>
    <script>
    function checkApplet() {
    if (document.myApplet!!=null) return true;
    alert("You need to enable Java and have the proper plugin to view this document:);
    return false;
    </script>
    <noscript>You need to turn on JavaScript to view this page</noscript>
    <body onLoad="checkApplet()">
    ...... // applet tag goes here
    </body>
    </html>
    Remember that you cannot call your applet to test its status.

  • Why do I see "Your browser is not supported" on many sites with firefox 15?

    Some sites, like trello.com and many others tell that I seem to use old browser, or that my browser is not supported, and ask me to download Firefox 4 or older.
    Is it just irresponsible web-developers, who put this sign for any browser except those in a list, and who then forget to update the list? Or is it some issue with FF itself?
    Is there any simple workaround without using UserAgent changing plugins?

    Many thanks, it helped, my useragent appeared to be overwritten by apple updater.
