How to find iAuthor books in iBooks?

I visitited the iBooks store to see what is available, and cannot find anyplace where interactive iAuthor books are distinguished from regular eBooks. Does anybody know if these books will be segregated and promoted in a special place, and if so, is there a way to submit the books to ensure that they get a special designation?

There is an 'enhanced' category, but it doesn't seem to indicated which there, if any, are iBA'd.
I don't think there is a 'special' category or designation, other than a requirement spec that may list iBooks 2.

That doesn't work. It only allows you to delete your local copy but keeps the book in your library. The instructions on Apple's site are also incorrect. They suggest going to iTunes and selecting Books from the Library menu, but there is no Books option under that menu in the current version.

No, it's not possible. You will have to acquire another copy of the book in your native language. If you can't find it in the iBookstore, try one of the other stores that also provide free ereader apps, like Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Googlebooks, or Sony.

Either they did an update or there's something weird going on with my iMac, 'cause like I said in my first post, I changed the Title (in 'List' view) by clicking on it and changing it, but when I closed iBooks and then opened it again, all the changes were gone and it reverted to the way it was. But now after seeing your post, I opened iBooks again, and all the changes I made to the titles are back. Its weird 'cause I triple-checked it the other day and I know I'm not mistaken about what happened.

2. there are no aggregators in italy who can help you export the content of the book to ePub files

How to delete sample book from iBooks

How do you delete a sample book from iBooks! I can delete actual books but not the sample. The book is Guy Codes.

Press the edit button on the top right of app.
Tap the sample you wish to delete.
Press the delete button (top left) and then the delete flag
Press done.
I just downloaded the sample of the same book and deleted it.
It should work.

Case in point, I download samples of books in iBooks as a way to capture books that I intend to buy -- instead of keeping a list. Hello all,
I bought an iPad to my mother/father and they really like to read books. Before their was a useful link at the bottom of the Book store saying "French book" or something like that. Now it doesn't exist anymore.
Is there a new way to search for french book? Anyone here could help us search the store for a specific language?

The OP was quite correct. This is a shortcoming and it has nothing to do with distribution rights as is suggested.

If it's not in your country's store then you won't be able to buy it from Apple. You can try requesting that it be added, but ultimately it's the book publisher that will have to create an ibooks version of it and then grant Apple a license to sell it in your country : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

My old laptop died and in the intrum of acquiring a new one, I add many books to my iBooks library. I know how to load my purchases from the iBooks store, but I have other providers of ebooks and wasn't able to figure out how to back them up on my new laptop.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer is designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

How to find/erase books?No AudioBook Section anymore??

Hi,
I'm updated iTunes to 7.1.1(5) as of today.
Shouldn'ta oughta dunnit.
When I look at my iPod, I can see the separate AudioBook section at the same heirarchical level as Artists, Albums, Songs, Genres etc. and I can access all 12 audiobooks (they are .aa files, downloaded from audible.com)
When my iPod's connected to iTunes however, there is NO way to find these audiobooks anywhere... NOT in the music library, and there is NO AudioBooks section at the top heirarchical level in iTunes as older iTunes versions had. How the heck can I erase my books once they're read? What the __ is going on? Please help...
By the way, my iPod has the latest software, iTunes assured me.

I opened preferences and found under general the appropriate box to check, et, voilà... there was my Audiobooks section back again. Must have gotten unchecked by something in the update.

How do I backup books in iBooks using Time Machine

An iBook purchased text book no longer displays diagrams so I have tried to restore a previous backup but when I open my iBook library and then enter Time Machine it opens a Finder window for the Desktop, if I then navigate to iBooks app I just get info on the app no access to content. Where am I going wrong? I am using a late 2012 iMac running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.
