Your old iBook browser plug-ins are not "Intel aware" and moving them to a new machine didn't allow them to be used (except under Rosetta).
Update your plug-ins by downloading new versions that are Intel ready.

I know how to share the internet over the Wi-Fi. I know that there could be a password. But I need to control users by MAC addresses, just like in the routers. So, I want to give an access ONLY to a several MAC addresses which I'll write in some ?list?. But the main point is that the other computers, which are not included in that list, can't access my network.
I figured out that it is nearly impossible to do via standard utilities in mac os, so is there any 3rd party software for such things?

If you had turned on Find my Mac on the MacBook Air, just open http://www.icloud.com, log in with your Apple ID and select "Find my iPhone".
That's the only way to find your MacBook. If it's not connected to the Internet or if you haven't turned on Find my Mac, you won't be able to track it

Codecs MPEG4 + AMR-NB.. how to find and install on mac ?

HTC has given me the answer concerning the videos compressed on the HTC HD while recording with the camera. The codecs are : MPEG4 + AMR-NB, extension mp4
I would like to work thoses videos on Imovie (08) and therefore I need the codecs to be installed on the mba (mac Book air)
I Have the Codec Pack 'flip for mac' and 'Perian' .. but none of them has it seems the AMR-NB
Does anyone know where to find and how to install this particular codec on macOsx 10.5.6 ?

The Hitachi is not supported by iMovie which is probably why you are having problems. MP4 should be OK, so the AMR-NB audio codec could be the culprit. This is a very low quality audio compression codec generally used on older cell phones.
One thing you might try (shot in the dark). Make a copy of your file. Then change the name of the file extension from .mp4 to .3gp
See if the file with the 3gp extension will open in QuickTime Player.
If it will, see if you can open it in MPEG Streamclip. From there you can export it to a supported codec like h.264 (video), AAC (audio).
You also might try [VLC|http://wiki.videolan.org/Main_Page]
I have no experience with it, but if you need it, it might be worth figuring out how to install it.

Adobe Reader's Internet Plugins for Mac OSX

Every time I upgrade or reinstall Adobe Reader on Mac OSX I have to delete the plugins installed in my library to stop Reader being my default pdf viewer in Safari.
Isn't it time your apps worked like everyone elses and gave the USER the option to select which viewer to use as the default?
It really annoys me that I have to go through this tedious process after all these years just because Adobe hasn't fixed the problem. I am now a little cynical about the company's motivation - I may even think that Reader is so ugly, clunky and resource heavy that it's the only way they can get anyone to use it!
You may say "Why install it?" Because some forms demand Reader to complete the field electronically - otherwise I would.

I'm encountering the same problem on the two computers below. Email attachments will open in the same manner. Attempts to download or open PDFs on the Internet result in a black page with no content or the warning you've noted above.

Mac Mini running 10.8.4
I am able to open PDFs on a Mac pro 17 running 10.7.5. I have used airdrop to move the document to one of the above two computers. This results in the original file becoming corrupted and unable to open and the file moved to the other computer will also state that it is corrupted.
There is clearly something amiss in Adobe and Mac working together. (And it is causing considerable frustration at this point.)
I should add, I have the full Adobe PDF product on the Mac Mini.

How to find installed assets on mac in applicationdirectory

File.applicationDirectory—the read-only directory where the application is installed (along with any installed assets)
How do i get to this assets folders/files on a mac?
I tried the following, but i don't get a list of files.... it works on a windows machine..

Hi, i found my answer.
It turns out that mac doesn't use type. Instead i had to check on extension
contents[i].extension=="jpg"
How i found out? to alert some variables like this.
first i checked if the folder assets/folder1 exists
import mx.utils.ObjectUtil;
var directory:File = File.applicationDirectory;
directory = directory.resolvePath("gardenimages/"+foldername+"");
Alert.show("test:"+ObjectUtil.toString(directory));
It will get you a long list of info on the folder. by checking the nativepath, url and exists we can tell if the folder is there.
Now check the contents of that folder to see if the images are there.
