How to find jars compatibility with JDK 6

Hi All,
Could you please let me if there is any way to find out if a given jar version will be compatible with the JDK version 1.6 (i.e. java 6)?
Lets say I have Junit version 3.8.1 currently and it is working fine with current JDK version 1.4.2_11. I want to upgrade JDK version to 1.6 (java 6), then how to find out current JUnit version will be compatible with JDK 6? If not how to find out which version of Junit will be compatible with JDK6?
Please let me know if you need more info.

spring_1_2_5.jarI assume you are using spring framework 1.2.5.
In this case, you should look at this framework documentation/change log to see what the requirements are.
I think you could download spring framework 1.2.5 bundle (with dependencies). You can then look at the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF of every of jar
(especially third party libraries) in order to know its version.
Every framework release must have been tested and compatibilities resolved, so the job of finding what jar goes with this release is already done.
Example (spring 1.2.x):

Abba,
From memory only (since I haven't verified it), "loadjava" is a script, so you can have a look at its contents. I believe it actually uses JDK 1.1.8 (which is part of the Oracle installation). In any case, Oracle 9i is compatible with JDK 1.3 only.
Oracle 10g is compatible with JDK 1.4.

How to use jre6-compat with libreoffice?
libreoffice + language tool is a sluggish duo when used with jre7, so I have installed jre6-compat in addition to jre7, but I have no idea how to make libreoffice use jre6 from jre6-compat. Jre6 is not listed in Tools>Options>Java.
I want to keep jre7, because it works well with the other applications.
[root@goldenfall-archpts1 kuba]# java -version
java version "1.7.0_09"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.3.3) (ArchLinux build 7.u9_2.3.3-1-x86_64)

If you enter the full line, it will read in all
of the entries each time it is called.
You should break each part into an object:

Are you trying to compose an email?
If so, why are you not using Recipients.Resolve()?
Are you trying to get the recipients from an email?

How to find a routine with it's technical name

I am wondering how to find a routine with it's technical name (e.g. "ROUT 7QAXE7SDXIVW4BJ2S2UL3HLAS" as shown in the error message in a transport log).
So I would like to find out, where this routine is located (w.g. which characteristic/key figure in which transfer/update rule).

You can try the following:
Look up table RSUPDROUTwith the GUID of your routine (like 7QAXE7SDXIVW4BJ2S2UL3HLAS)in the ABAP Code ID field selection. This will show you the InfoObject it is created on, and the GUID of the update rules. If you click on the Check Table button, you can find out the data target and InfoSource of the Update Rule.
In table RSAROUTTyou can again use the GUID of your routine to check the description assigned to the routine during its creation.
I am not sure if this works for the routines of transfer rules....still checking it and will update if anything turns up.

You are absolutely correct. But what i need to know is sometime , even in the sales order there will be no output type (basically inbound) which can be found as suggested by Sunil - I think that is the most relevant way to find the IDOC no. Hope you will agree with me. Again how to activate by IAN is also guides the idea. Only thing we need to know the exact parameter to be maintained in own data.

How to run jar file with classpath?

I have some package in my project, with which I have a java help jar file as classpath, when I run my project, I need the jh.jar file in directory /jar/jh.jar.
Now, I bundled all my class packages into a jar file, my.jar, together with the /jar directory. When i run my jar file with command:
java -jar my.jar
It tells me couldn't find javahelp class.
What shall I do? How can I create my jar file with the jh.jar?

i cannot use the listRoots() function in order to get the system drives because i am working with JDK 1.1.8 and in this this jdk i didn't find any simple function to do so..
does someone know how to get the system drives with this jdk (1.1.8)???

I am in complete agreement with FahleE. I'll refine it a bit.
On my machine (running RedHatLinux8.0) you can run the demos like this.
1. open a console window
2. go to the directory where the demo you wish to run, say, demo.jar, is located
for instance for the SwingSet2-demo
cd /usr/lib/java/demo/jfc/SwingSet2
3. run the jar file
java -jar demo.jar
In order to run it windows style, ie, launching by double clicking, save these lines in a file called
LaunchJar.sh
cd /usr/lib/java/demo/jfc/SwingSet2
java -jar demo.jar
where demo.jar is the jar file you want to run.
Right click on the LaunchJar.sh and go to the 'Properties' tab. Check the 'Execute' permissions for Owner/groups/others. You can also do the same thing by chmod command.
Now double-click on the LaunchJar.sh file: your application should be launched.

Please Note: It is important to set the path variable to your JAVA_HOME directory....
Otherwise, instead of
java -jar demo.jar, you will need to use the full path to your JAVA_HOME/bin directory like:
JAVA_HOME/bin /java -jar demo.jar.
Where JAVA_HOME is the directory where you have installed java. Typically it is usr/java or usr/local/java

Generally, I know that if we want to find a control by code, we will need to add the searchproperties or filterproperties to find this control in the UIMap.Designer.cs file.
For example, you could use this searchproperties or filterproperties to find the control's ID, Name properties etc.
