How to find location of an album

I created an album selecting pictures from 3 separate events. I'd like to now upload that album to an on-line storage website - fotki.com (similar to Snapfish). They have a plug-in to select location of my pictures. I want to be able to select the location of the album and I can't. Everything is by event date. I can't find where the albums are stored.
For now, I will have to select image at a time in different 'event folders' to be uploaded but that is a big waste of time and very inconvenient.
How could I find where Mac stores albums created in iPhoto.
Many thanks!!!!!

How could I find where Mac stores albums created in iPhoto?
You can not since iPhoto does not store albums - albums are logical things that exist only in the iPhoto database
Have you looked in the bottom left of the upload window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto ?
Or select all of the photos in the album and export them to a desktop folder which can be deleted after the upload is complete

  • Windows 2008 Server crashed - How to find location of remote shared files that they used to access on remote web app?

We have a client that was running windows 2008 server.  A previous IT person had setup their system, so we were walking into a situation where there were many unknowns.  Server was mainly handling emails only, and we were able to get their exchange
database off and export PSTs to hosted exchange via microsoft.
Everything went fine with that, however one user said that he used to access files on the server via the remote web app as he described.  He would go to the following url:
    https://mail.theirdomain.com/remote/menu.aspx#
and he would use his login and then he would see several links to folders.  He could then click on those and see his desired files.
We were able to get the server booted again, however we could not find any of the files he described on it at all, leaving me to suspect that perhaps this remote link was accessing another PC.
We have the old server up and running, however the link above is no longer active because we have pointed the domain to the new hosted exchange server.  As I am still learning and my boss wanted me to research this on my own and figure out how to find
out where these files are located.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Just as a note I did try access mail.localhost.com/remote/menu.aspx# on the server but this did not work.  Is there any way in the IIS 7 management console to figure out where this was pointing to?

I figured it out - The server was using sharepoint to host these files.  I browsed localhost:987 and opened the sharepoint site locally on the server.  They had several documents to be exported, however when clicking on Open in Explorer it was
giving an error that local client was not configured.  I installed Desktop Experience and after that was able to open it in Windows Explorer and copy all files off.

  • How to find out in which albums a library photo is represented

Basically my problem is stated in the question, I'm trying to find out in which albums certain library/event photo's are represented. Since I'm moving from albums to events this would be a great help in naming the events.
    Thanks,
    Peter

There is currently now way in iPhoto to do this.
iPhoto Menu -> Povide iPhoto Feedback.

I have a couple of Numbers files open.  How do I find their location on disk?

While you are viewing the file path at the top of the screen, following Wayne's directions, you can click on the second line to open a Finder window that shows the file you are working on in its folder.

  • Iphone 6: how to find my favourite photo album of iphone in my mac OSX Yosemite?

    hi, there:
in my iphone6, some of pics that i added in my "favourites"  album, then i synced it into my iphoto, after it asked me that i keep or delete photos,
    i choose delete.
after i checked it on the iphone, i found my favourites photos is gone.:(
i thought that favouties photos would not be deleted.......
can i find (favourite album) it on the macbook?

after i checked it on the iphone, i found my favourites photos is gone.:(
i thought that favouties photos would not be deleted.......
If you allow iPhoto or Image Capture to delete the imported photos from your iPhone, it will delete all photos you imported on the iPhone, also the favorites.  And when you import, the "Favorite" tag will not be transferred. iPhoto only imports the original image file.
See: iPhoto and Aperture don't have edits to photos you import from iOS 8 devices - Apple Support
You will probably find your "Favorites" among the photos in your "Last Import" album in iPhoto's source list.

  • How to Find Location of Error Message in MIGO Transaction

I keep getting an error in transaction MIGO: Create account N450010 for 08/07/2007 as a cost element in controlling area BFP1. According to the functional person the account has been created. Any other way to find out besides a "where-used" on the message class and number to find out where this message is coming from? The where used is not bringing me any results.....Thanks.

    Hi
Probably the message is called dynamically, so u should try to check by debug when that message is raised.
U can set a break-point for the statament MESSAGE.

  • HT1199 My iTunes music list all have the exclamation point.  I do not know how to find the files to restore the music.  Any advice?

All the songs in my iTunes have the exclamation point.  I do not know how to find location of the music...any suggestions?

Ok, your music could be in one of a coupel formats, MP3 or, more likely, Apples AAC format, which has a m4a prefix.  Open Finder.  Hold Command and press F, this will open a search window in the top of Finder.  Type mp3 here, let it search.  If it finds your music files, double tap on one and "open Enclosing Folder"  That should show you where they are at.  If nothing is found, try searching m4a instead.  One of the two should show you where your music is.

  • How to find album location of a picture

Hi, like many people, I have some pictures that are part of several albums. As my folders- albums become more numerous, it gets harder and harder to find these pictures. There must be a way to find locations of pictures. How can I find where "photo x" is - that is, the albums I have placed it in. In Itunes this is easy - I can see what playlists I have put a song in. Does the same feature exist in Iphoto 5? Or, is there a nice script that will do this? It must be possible. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matthew

    Matthew,
There is a way, but it will take some initial work.
Write down all the Album names on a piece of paper.
Give a number to each album name
    Now open up iPhoto Preferences/keywords
Add a new keyword (number) for each album
Now go back to the library and click on an Album, select all images and hit Command i to open the info pane. Hit the keyword pane, and then hit the keyword(number) you gave to that album to give all the images that keyword.
    do this for each album.
Now when done, you can see what albums the images are in by looking at the keywords (numbers)
If you decide to do this, let me know how it turns out.

    thanks Rob

  • I perform a search, get results, find the message I was after. How do I locate this message within my (relatively) complex folder and subfolder structure?

    Hi,
I use structured subfolder system to keep my emails organized (hundreds and hundreds of folders).
When I perform a search, get a list of results and within this list I find the email I was after, HOW do I locate the message? In other words, how can I open the folder which contains that particular email?
Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Not a perfect solution but maybe a workaround.

If you didn't set up Find My iPhone in the iCloud settings, then you can't. Notify the police and change the password to your Apple ID and any other online services you used from that iPhone, just as a precaution.

  • How to find out which keywords were used to create a smart album?

    Hi,
    I actually have 2 questions;
    a) Short of scrolling down my very long list of password on the HUD - is there an elegant way to do it - How to find out which passwords were used to create an existing smart album? It's a recurring challenge for me.\ 'cause I like using smart albums, but once in a while need to check or chane the passwords.
    b) With annoying regularity when I try to get to this forum and choose Aperture, I get the following message - in pink, no less: It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.
    Any clues?
    Thanks guys,

    Raphael,
that message may occur for four reasons at least:
Most frequently, when you are using an outdated link to a post that no longer exists, for example from an email notofication. Sometimes our community host will remove posts, that are in violation of the terms of use: see:
Apple Support Communities Terms of Use
Or you are using the edit button or a bookmark to an "Edit" window, after the fifteen minutes allowed for editing are up.
Or you want to view a page in a restricted section of the ASC - soem perta are only open for members of level 6 or higher.
Or it is one  of the unexplained problems with the forum software right now.

I really like Kirby's suggestion with the IPTC rule Keyword is. This is very useful for smart albums global to the library.
Frequently a different approach helps for my smart albums. Many of my smart albums are local to projects or folders.  In this case the smart HUD will only show those keywords that have been used for the images in the selection. So if I only have tagged the images with the keywords "birds" and "slideshow", the smart settings HUD will only show these two keywords and the list is very short.
My Keywords HUD, is organized hierarchically; this way I can collapse large sections at once, and it is easier to focus on the keywords needed for a specific task.
I use the search field in HUD a lot, to filter the set of keywords shown.

    Thanks!

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) Or maybe it was they had me transfer a folder to the EHD. I don't exactally remember it was a few years back. But I tried to plug in the EHD before starting and...nothing. Still says same thing, "locate file."
