How to find my lost IPOD, i don't have ICLOUD

Hi,,,
I lost my IPOD Touch and I want to locate or find it
Please help me
Thanks

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief.  All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself.  This requires action before the device is lost/stolen.  If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

  • How to find a lost iPod Touch with IOS 4.3 installed?

How do you go about finding a lost iPod Touch with IOS 4.3 installed? I had updated my iPod Touch to IOS 4.3 and I had read something about the update having the ability to help one find their lost device.
Is there documentation anywhere that outlines how this works?
    Thanks,

  • Why hasn't Apple created a way to find a lost iPod without using FindMyiPhone or iCloud?

I think that the majority of users, like me, don't know that there is even a way to find a lost iPod/iPhone until AFTER they lose it.  Appl should find some other way to find a lost/stolen iPod without using apps/iCloud.  Personalley, I find the FindMyiPhone app useless because it can only be used in wifi locations and through iCloud.  I don't even HAVE an iCloud account because I didnt think i needed it.  I had 16 gb to use so i assumed i didn't need the extra space iCloud offered.

You had installed the "Find iPhone" app? With this app you can find your iPod Touch or send a sound/message. If you haven't that app, sorry but you can't do anything else. (For using this app, iPod must be conected to the internet).

  • How to find my lost ipod touch?

I lost my ipod touch a few months ago, I thought I just misplaced it but I think it might have been stolen. Is there any way to track it? It's obviously linked to my apple account, if I called apple could they tell me if anyone has used it or what general geographical location it might be in?

Apple has no access to where your iPod is because that would be a violation of the privacy policy. The only way it can be tracked is if its still on, has your apple Id on it, had find my iPhone turned on, and is connected to wifi. You will sign into iCloud.com and choose the find my iPhone feature. If your iPod meets those conditions, you'll see it on a map there

How to find a lost iPod ?

If you had iOS 5 and set up Find my iPod you may be able to find it if it has a wifi connection.
    Go to icloud.com
log in and click Find my iPhone (or if it says iPod, whichever)
and it will locate its exact location.
**but only if it has wifi.

  • Find my lost ipod touch with only his serial number

how ti find my lost ipod touch with only it serial number?

No, the SN will only help identify the iPod as yours if it is recovered.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
    - Apple will do nothing

  • How do I find my lost ipod touch

I had my ipod before I got on the bus this morning, it was in my pocket. I sat down on the bus, and I didn't take it out of my pocket, there was someone sitting next to me, but she couldn't have taken it out of my pocket because of the way she was sitting. It's not in my backpack, and my bus driver said she looked everywhere on the bus while cleaning it-like she always does. It could have fallen out anywhere on the bus and someone could have taken it. I'm really worried because I had just gotten it and I'm using icloud to track it, but it says its offline. I don't know how it would even connect to wifi because I have a pass code on it. please help.

Until it goes online you cannot track it.
What To Do If Your iDevice or Computer Is Lost Or Stolen
    iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:

As I said, and Varjak said, if it is setup in iCloud, login to iCloud from your comptuier or other device, click on Find My and find the entry for the iPod, and if it is turned on and connected to the internet it will show up.

How can I find a lost Ipod? I believe that I had the app on it to locate it.

If you had Find My activated on the iPod, and registered it in iCloud's Find My Phone, then login to iCloud, click Find My Phone and see if it shows up.  If it is turned off, battery is dead, not connected to the internet, or been found and wiped clean it will not show and you will not be able to find it.
