How to find my recovery key

Im trying to sync my desktop with a new laptop. Have followed instructions and entered 12 digits where requested having signed up for an account in advance.
After adding the 12 digits neither of them shows any sign of syncing. the next page asks for account details plus a Recovery Key. I've not found a Recovery Key and have spent some time looking at Support pages. The Sync tab on both shows pairing and syncing click-ons only - no manage account etc as indicated in support info.
be very grateful for somebody to talk me through this in a simple way. Many thanks in advance

First of all, all sync users: You HAVE to turn off "clear history" or at least "Clear password" in Options before you set up sync! Otherwise it will not work, or will work only til you close the browser or restart the computer or something .
Secondly, FIREFOX/ MOZILLA PEOPLE:
Your instructions are just plain WRONG. Someone needs to delete all the WRONG info and put only the new info. Right from the start you say things like "go to the firefox icon in the top of the browser" and this does not even exist! Jheez!
Secondly, the Manage Sync option and Recovery Key option sometimes is not there. I ran into this, it was not there; then later it was there. I think maybe you have to be signed in first? Not sure. All I know is that I was following your instructions - or trying to - and it just put me into a wild goose chase, going back and forth between my lap top and desktop and neither would allow me to sync the other.
Finally I muddled through and got it set up, but really, MOZILLA peeps - how about writing a brand new ACCURATE "how to" and putting it at the top of every thread about Sync?

*Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac.
*Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

  • My Options- Sync does not offer a manage account so I cannot find a "recovery key" to sync with my Galaxy note III android.

I run firefox browser on Windows 7. I am trying to synch with my android Galaxy note 3. When I am asked for a recovery key I am directed to pull down the "sync" option an use the choices. But all I pull down is a menu to set up synch. How do I find my recovery? I have tried rebooting with no effect. Thank you

thanks for the answer but not only can I not obtain my security Key. That is half of the problem. Also when I go thru the motions of entering a 12 digit key on both my computer and android I get a "progress" bar on the android and the screen says "waiting for device" and eventually firefox on the android crashes.
This is not well set up by mozilla.

  • Have key ID how do I get recovery key

have key ID how do I get recovery key

if this PC OEM, yes, PC manufactured have the best answer
if you still able to boot to windows you can try using any 3rd party software to retrieve it, find reliable software from your search engine
if you buy OS via download, you supposed to be have email confirmation with product key on it
if you buy physical DVD Windows 8.1, you can find it within the box, or if you lost the box, reseller/vendor will help you trace the product key with physical proof of purchase
but if you lost the product key and not able to boot to Windows, I suggest you contact Microsoft activation to change or find the old key

  • How to find if one key figure is used in any report

As I know "where used list " but this will not help me .
    Any suggestions please share .
    Puru

    Hi Puru,
    Try following approach,
goto RSZELTTXT table and put your key figure name in the long text and click on execute. Get the list of all the ETULID's and go to table RSZCOMPDIR from this table for all the ETLUID's get all the list of COMPUID's and from COMPUID's you will be able to find all the reports from RSRREPDIR in which that key figure is getting used.

  • How i get the recovery key

how can i get a recovery key??

OK.  So you say you have a MBP and Mountain Lion.  You want to reinstall Mountain Lion, but the installation is failing.
    1.  Why do you want to reinstall Mountain Lion?  What problem are you trying to solve?
    2.  At what point is the installation failing?  You need to boot into teh recovery partition and then there are a number of steps to go through to reinstall the OS...what steps are you able to successfully complete, and what, exactly, is the error message you get when it fails.  If you can write down the error message and quote it word for word, that would be helpful.
    3.  Do you have an up to date backup  of your system?

  • How to avoid the recovery key

I deployed MBAM2.5 and have a tricky issue: Recovery Key keep prompt after OS partition encrypted. If I
Open Control Panel - BitLocker Drive Encryption
    Click Suspend protection
Once protection has been suspended, click Resume protection
    Reboot
the issue resolved. I'm going to deploy Bitlocker to 3000 over computers and can't afford manual work. Anyone have any idea can help me to get ride of this prompt?
    Jason

Jason, you´re right By suspend -> resume you only create a workaround of your main issue, and not having end resolution of your problem. Normally, after encryption you should not get recovery key promt. The behavior of yours is not normal. I´m not sure,
if the way of starting encyption is the problem here. But you should enforce MBAM client to initiate encryption process By group policies.
Usually recovery key promt comes after hardware change, sometimes it can be huge change of OS as well. I couldn´t find the right path to track down changes which causes this. One way is to low TPM profile with selecting only option 11 of all, but it´s bad
    practise.

  • Please, please, please help me find a recovery key. Without it I cannot sync, and your instructions don't work!

I click on the Firefox tab, then "options" and THERE IS NO "Manage Account" and, therefore, NO RECOVERY KEY. Help me, please! Both my computers are Windows: one Win7, one Win8. I've spent hours and hours -- in multiple sessions over a period of months -- trying to solve this.

Thanks, Ibai and cor-el for responsing to my plea for help.
Ibai's response -- in particular his query about syncing two un-synced computers and his observation that I shouldn't need a recovery key -- made me realize that I had registered for some reason or another with Firefox back whenever, and that registration was gumming up the works. Firefox assumed I had previously synced, and now needed to re-synch (I guess). With this realization, I re-registered under another username, and (lo!) I started getting the cues I was expecting.
I'm synced, and am presently exploring the Tile Tabs add-on and totally happy again with Firefox.

  • How to obtain Sync Recovery Key from Android Firefox?

Desktop sync is broken and instructs to obtain "Your Recovery Key" from a working device. Only working device is Android Firefox. What is the magic incantation to get Firefox (v21 beta) on Android to reveal the needed sync Recovery Key?

    You can use:
*Android OS > Settings > Accounts > Firefox Sync > Pair a new Device
This will give you a 12-character pairing key the you can enter in the desktop computer.
You can look at this version of the about:synckey extension that I have modified to show the sync key in current Firefox versions (desktop and mobile).

  • How to find the basic key figure for a calculate key figure?

    Hi,
We know one Calculated Key figure available in a query for a Info Provider. How can we find the Key figure which has been used for that CKF or from the Calculated key figure? Please help.
    Advance Thanks,

    Hi,
    1. To check the definition of the CKF you need to go to the query designer.
    2. Once into the query desiger switch on the technical names in the query. THis option is available in the Icons displayed on the top of query designer
    3. Then right click on the CKF and click display. You will find the necessary details.
    4. If you are not able to see the definition of the CKF, then you may need to go in the change mode and then . Try this in development environment.
