How to find Oracle documentation in PDF format
In the last month, i downloaded two oracle guide in PDF format from OTN site: "Oracle Spatial Topology and Network Data Models" and "Workspace Manager". But now I forgot the link where i founded a complete list of document prompted to download (over 40-50 e-books).

How to send the output to PDF format in reports 6i? I given Mode = BITMAP.
DESTYPE = File, DESFORMAT = PDF, DESNAME = C:\x.pdf.
Report is running fine. But PDF file not generated. I don't know what i missed. Any one can help this?

Test with :
DESFORMAT = RTF, DESNAME = C:\x.rtf
or
DESFORMAT = HTMLCSS, DESNAME = C:\x.html
does it work ?
Check if DESNAME is modified in the reports itself.

You can use OpenOffice.org, running as a server and command it remotely for document convertion.
Besides HTML to PDF, there are also possible other convertions:
doc --> pdf, html, txt, rtf
xls --> pdf, html, csv
ppt --> pdf, swf

After upgrading from 11.5.7 to 11.5.10 Oracle Report in PDF format is not working(it was working fine in 11.5.7). When change output format to TEXT it working fine.

Perhaps it is not clear about what are the invalid characters its is showing.....is it showing asterisks.....Well if it does show anything like that then all u have to do is go and change the dimensions of the particular field in which it is showing such characters.......i mean u r to change the rdf file in Reports Builder.....and try changing the length and width by dragging the edges of the particular field and then save it and after that convert it into .xml and .rep files and then run it. -

The likelihood that you will experience problems installing on those platforms is quite high and is not recommended. One 'simple' way is by using the DBMS_SCHEDULER db package and the procedure CREATE_JOB(....) using as job_type the value 'EXECUTABLE'...
Read for further info in 'PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference'.
If you have access to OEM ... you can configure this there using wizard.....
Other way is to use the External Procedure call capabiblity of Oracle DB Server...:

Oracle reports in pdf format on web
What are the steps involved in calling the oracle reports from web and work with ASP application in the pdf format.If you have some details on that or if there is any book/online resource I can look at please respond.
ThanksI allways have to cancel the current job stacked from the Enterprise Manager.
If I restart the web application and try to generate PDF without cancel the current job stacked in the Enterprise Manager in Current Jobs Queue it doesn't work. It's blocking that job too in the current jobs. ("Formatting page n").
After that I can continue generating other PDF.
How can I do to succeed in generating other reports without using the Enterprise Manager to kill the sessions? -

Navya.One round about way to get a pdf screen shot is tick 'print to file' and use a printer which is set up with a postcript driver. This gives a postscript file which can be converted to pdf using 'ghostscript and gsview' (available free from gnu via various sites).

I developed one report which downloads the data into PDF format and saved in C drive but my problem is
in my program : Line size of the report is 255 in PDF it is splitting into 2 lines. it has to show in a single line. how to do it. how to reduce the width of the output? i am sending my code below. anybody can suggest me how to do it. if possible please send me the code.

I am working on deployment of java web service on Oracle Application Server(LINUX) 10g, EBS - R12.
I am working on other system and i want to deploy web service remotely on application server.
And i am not getting the oracle home directory path. I want to find the home directory path remotely.
so suggest me how to find out path of that.
or weather i have to install jdevloper on server system and than i have to deploy it,
or any other alternative way is available.

It's precisely the registry key which got tampered, and there's no ORACLE_HOME environmental variable(Or that too is tampered)
Now,how to set it to one of the Oracle home directories?
