How to find out where I have used a certain Global/Local Variable

Hi Friends

changed/Read when I try to debug the program. Anyone

the Block Diagrams/VIs. I will very appreciate you help.
Cheers!

Hi All
I have tried the  ctr+F to find a certain shared variabl, but the result came out is looks all the shared varibales. How can I focus on 1 certain shared variable. I am using labview8.2.1.
And I have tried the Find shared variables VI  from the link Ben showed me. It can not work properly. It showed an error when I try to search, which says: Error 1057 as attached. Could anyone tell me why. Thanks.

  • How to find out where i'm using a style

    Hello everyone
    I am an user of Indesign CS4, a few days ago I was working with some files and I had a very particular need. I want to know where some paragraph and character styles are being used in the content of my document. Is there any way, maybe a plugin that allows me to find them? let me use an example:
    I have a large file in indesign, lets say 100 pages and I have 25 Styles in it, sometimes when I select the unused styles in the stylesheet, I see marked as used some styles that I don't remember where were used, so, I have to click every paragraph to get the information, and that is a very time consuming task.
    is there any way I can select a style on the stylesheet and get information about the text where has been used? and not from the oposite side like everyone knows .?
    Thanks to anyone who can give me answer to my question

    You can use Find/Change to search for any paragraph or character style. Just click on the More Options button to access formatting options.
    For a global at-a-glance overview you could change the style to use a custom underline, like a thick pink underline that’s shifted up so it acts more like a highlighter. Use a custom spot colour then se the Separation Preview panel to show only that colour. Any page without anything on it doesn’t use that style.

  • How to find out which keywords were used to create a smart album?

    Hi,
    I actually have 2 questions;
    a) Short of scrolling down my very long list of password on the HUD - is there an elegant way to do it - How to find out which passwords were used to create an existing smart album? It's a recurring challenge for me.\ 'cause I like using smart albums, but once in a while need to check or chane the passwords.
    b) With annoying regularity when I try to get to this forum and choose Aperture, I get the following message - in pink, no less: It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.
    Any clues?
    Thanks guys,

    Raphael,
    that message may occur for four reasons at least:
    Most frequently, when you are using an outdated link to a post that no longer exists, for example from an email notofication. Sometimes our community host will remove posts, that are in violation of the terms of use: see:
    Apple Support Communities Terms of Use
    Or you are using the edit button or a bookmark to an "Edit" window, after the fifteen minutes allowed for editing are up.
    Or you want to view a page in a restricted section of the ASC - soem perta are only open for members of level 6 or higher.
    Or it is one  of the unexplained problems with the forum software right now.

    I really like Kirby's suggestion with the IPTC rule Keyword is. This is very useful for smart albums global to the library.
    Frequently a different approach helps for my smart albums. Many of my smart albums are local to projects or folders.  In this case the smart HUD will only show those keywords that have been used for the images in the selection. So if I only have tagged the images with the keywords "birds" and "slideshow", the smart settings HUD will only show these two keywords and the list is very short.
    My Keywords HUD, is organized hierarchically; this way I can collapse large sections at once, and it is easier to focus on the keywords needed for a specific task.
    I use the search field in HUD a lot, to filter the set of keywords shown.

  • How to find out names of reports using a particular view

    hi guys,
    i am newbie here, i jsut want to know how to find out which reports are using a particular view
    many thanks in advance for your help

    If you go to the Properties for the Folder in Discoverer Administrator, there is a Dependents tab that should list any workbooks using the folder. This only works for workbooks saved to the database, so won't help with any created using Discoverer Desktop. If you are gathering statistics and have the The Discoverer V5 EUL business area and its workbooks installed, it can tell you about Folders Used as well. It contains information about queries run whether the workbook is saved to the database or to the file system, but wouldn't contain inforamation about workbooks that had been created but not run.

  • How to find out if I am using a 32 bits or 64 bits version of JRE?

    How to find out if I am using a 32 bits or 64 bits version of JRE?
    If I have 2 instances of Java installed in 2 seperate directories, one 32 bits and other 64 bits on Linux. How do I identify which directory holds which version?
    Is there any command that can output this info?
    Regards,
    Billamama

    With a Sun JDK or JRE, you can use java -version:
    $ java -version
    java version "1.6.0"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode)
    ... switch to the 64-bit JDK ...
    $ java -version
    java version "1.6.0"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0-b105)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0-b105, mixed mode)
    The last line says "64-Bit."

  • How to find out if I have Solaris v11.0 or v11.2? Where is 64bit Solaris?

    How can I find out if I have Solaris v11.0 or v11.2 installed?
    Does Solaris "2010.11"  mean  Solaris 11 or Solaris 10?
    Assume I have installed Solaris 10 or Solaris 11.0:
    Can I update Solaris with the integrated Update Manager to Solars 11.2 or do I have to install a new Solaris 11.2?
    Finally when I go to Solaris 11 download web page
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solaris11/downloads/install-2245079.html
    I miss a x64bit Solaris download link.
    I found only an x86 version (which means 32bit for Intel CPUs)
    Thank you
    Peter

    There are two places to look for versioning information:
    $ uname -v
    That will return 11.0, 11.1, 11.2 etc
    Strictly speaking that is only the kernel version but unless you do "very advanced" things with packaging it is acurrate.
    $ pkg info entire
    That will get you information about which SRU (patch) level you are at.
    As for 64 bit that is the 64 bit version.  For Solaris the term "x86" means Intel/AMD compatible processor.  Solaris 11 only boots on 64 bit SPARC and Intel/AMD processors.
    Since Solaris 7 there has been support for running both 32 bit and 64 bit applications on a 64 bit kernel.  Solaris 11 only delivers a 64 bit kernel for all supported processors.

  • How to find out where the business views are being used in the Crystal

    I am using Crystal Reports 2008 and BOE 3.1. We are using business views to populate the drop down for the dynamic parameters. I would like to know if there is a way to find out which reports are using a specific business views. This will help me modify the exisisting Business Views.
    I would not like to edit all the reports to see them. Is that info stored in CMC or any BOE database.
    Thank You.

    Hello Vijay,
    On MSSQL truncation of transaction log does not shrink the size of the transaction log. It simply removes the content within the transaction log and writes it to the backup.
    Meaning the free percentage within the transaction log will increase.
    If you want to Resize the transaction log size, you need to do something else.
    The shrinking procedure is given here:
