How to find out which class/method is calling System.gc

I am seeing frequent FULL GC and not able to locate which particular class/method is calling the System.gc(). I have disabled it using -XX:DisableExplicitGC and performance issues have been resolved. Also, I noticed that it does not happen periodically, so it is not RMI GC. How to find out who exactly is doing this? Does any of of the profilers like Optimizeit/Jprobe help find out this.

I am seeing frequent FULL GC This is because you are creating and destroying objects VERY frequently. Try to look at your design and see where you can reuse objects (i.e. object pooling) if possible, that is if this is adversely affecting performance.

How does Weblogic find out which webservice method to invoke?

I developed a webservice which is currently running on weblogic & everything is fine ;). Yesterday I tried to get it running on a different app server (jboss) and it simply would not work. I always got an error, that the operation requested does not exist on the endpoint. I investigated the issue & came to the conclusion that it is correct...the operation requested does really not exist. Now...why does it work on weblogic?!?

Last but not least, the method:

The difference in the soap request messages differs in the outer tag. Weblogic expects what is defined in the xsd -> <performTransactionSearchRequest>, whereas jboss expects the operation/method <performTransactionSearch>.
With jboss it only works w/o the 'Request'-suffix....with Weblogic it only works with the suffix.
In a last attempt I adjusted the xsd, and changed the name for the tag to 'performTransactionSearch'. In that case, both app servers accept the same request (the one w/o the 'Request'-suffix) & it works fine.
Now...long story short ;) ... why is that? I understand why Jboss is not able to work with the "wrong" tag, even though it is strange that it accepts a tag that is not even defined in the xsd.
But, at least to me, I found it even stranger, that weblogic "knows" which operation to invoke. Can anyone give a little insight how a soap message gets processed in wl & how wl finds out which operation to invoke?

that message may occur for four reasons at least:
Most frequently, when you are using an outdated link to a post that no longer exists, for example from an email notofication. Sometimes our community host will remove posts, that are in violation of the terms of use: see:

Or you are using the edit button or a bookmark to an "Edit" window, after the fifteen minutes allowed for editing are up.

I really like Kirby's suggestion with the IPTC rule Keyword is. This is very useful for smart albums global to the library.
Frequently a different approach helps for my smart albums. Many of my smart albums are local to projects or folders. In this case the smart HUD will only show those keywords that have been used for the images in the selection. So if I only have tagged the images with the keywords "birds" and "slideshow", the smart settings HUD will only show these two keywords and the list is very short.
My Keywords HUD, is organized hierarchically; this way I can collapse large sections at once, and it is easier to focus on the keywords needed for a specific task.
I use the search field in HUD a lot, to filter the set of keywords shown. -
How to find out which object on a JPanel was clicked...
I have a JPanel that contains about 200 other small JPanels(only 8 are visible at any one time), and a JButton(with Visible set to false).
When one of the small JPanels is rightclicked i want to know which one was clicked so I can add the JButton to it (set theJButton Visible on the JPanel that was rightclicked). When the JButton is clicked, it will hide the JPanel it was on and hide itself again.
I added a MouseListener(MousePressed) to the main Jpanel but I dont know how to find out which of the smaller JPanels was clicked. I would Also need to know how (in the ActionEvent for the JButton) the JButton knows which JPanel it is on so it knows which one to delete.

Unfortunately using smaller, easier-to-work with queries is not always an option
Ganesh is right - you will have to dissect the big query bit by bit until you find the offending subquery. If there is another way I would like to find out about it too.
The easiest way to do this is probably to use block comments to isolate parts of the query bit by bit until you find the offending part. If you carefully examine the subqueries you might be able to figure out which one is returning multiple rows without commenting everything

After have drag and drop data control into pages designer, how to find out which data control do the page layout component (such as a field in form layout) come from?
--i cannot find data control related information in the property pallete for the page layout component.
