There are [at least] two examples of PCMCIA dirvers in the DDK supplimentary suite. There is also an example of simple DLPI driver.
All you have to do is to combine those examples to get the PCMCIA DLPI driver and fine tune it to match your particular hardware. Any bells ring?
You will definitely need your card programming manual and/or software interface description for the last phase.
If you do not have one, you might get some open source (say, Linux or FreeBSD) driver for your card and do some code analysis to reveal the information you'll need.
Hope this helps...
Ilya.

    Hi Sükrü
You can read the table E071 with the object id and get the transport request number. Use this transport request and read the table E070, the field "TRSTATUS" will give the status whether the object is locked or released.
    Hope this helps !

  • Scsi card driver for MDD

I installed Apple OEM Atto Ul3D SCSI card in my MDD. I want to upgrade the ROM. Where do I find it? I found one at ATTO site. When I tried to install, it gave a warning that 'it may not be the ATTO card and the flash may be corrupt.'
    How do I update it?
    George

I installed Apple OEM Atto Ul3D SCSI card in my MDD.
When I tried to install, it gave a warning that 'it may not > be the ATTO card and the flash may be corrupt.'
I would open the case and verify the MFR of the card.
Last I checked, Apple always used Adaptec, not ATTO, as OEM.

  • Terminal - how to find my external hard drive using unix commands

just discovered terminal and using cd and ls commands, which are the only commands i know, i realized that i can't find my external hard drive. i thought it would be listed on my desktop, as it is in the OSX interface, but it isn't there.
not that im skilled enough to use terminal yet, but i thought the first step would be being able to navigate the computer's files.
really curious as to where my external hard drive is and how i can find it using unix commands in terminal.
i was trying to figure it out myself, then i thought surely someone knows this and could tell me in a sec.
    thanks.

"ls /Volumes" will list all volumes, including internal and external hard drives and mounted disk images. I find "disktool -l" more useful in scripts, as it tells you which volume names correspond to which "mount points" under /Volumes. Usually they're the same, but if you have two volumes with the same name, or you try to remount a removable volume before it is fully unmounted, you'll end up with a mount point that consists of the volume name with a numerical suffix.

What is the OS on your machine ? Which browser are you using ? Switch to a different browser may help. The file is small, just under 5Mb.

  • How to find where all hard drive capacity has gone?

My hard drive has a capacity for 75GB. Whe I click Get Info - it says I have used 52.9 GB but when I Get Info for all the Directories on the hard drive (Applications, Library, System, Users) it shows 25.1 GB has been used. How can I can I find where the oher stealth 21.8GB are? (note: my PowerPC G5 does not have this problem). Thanks

    Eric:
Whatever you do, don't move or remove any hidden files; instead, just look there and do Get Info's as necessary or desired, okay? These are critical files and are hidden to preclude them from being moved, etc. If an errant file is found, there are other ways to remove it if necessary...
With the hidden files/folders option selected in OnyX, do a Get Info on /private/var/vm/ at the root level of your hard drive. This will tell you the size of the virtual memory/swap files, which should be well under 1 GB.
Regarding Backup, have you ever had a backup scheduled without the external drive mounted as the target volume, or perhaps a failed attempt to backup to the external drive? If so, you may have a "false backup" hidden on your startup drive. If you think that this has happened, please advise. This could also occur while using Disk Utility's Restore option, CarbonCopyCloner, SuperDuper, etc.

  • How to update my video card driver?

    Hello,
I've been trying to play the game World of Warcraft on my Toshiba labtop, but when I do I get a message telling me that my video driver needs to be updated
This is what it tells me my video driver is: Video Card: Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000 and Operating System: Windows 7 Service Pack 1
My labtop is a Sattelite P755-3DV20 with serial # XXXXXXXXX
I'm confused on how I download new video drivers.  I've been to the update area of the Toshiba website but don't see anything about video drivers, only drivers.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
[Moderator edit to remove serial number.]

There are a number of them on the support site. This is the latest video driver for your model:

    > it says Toshiba modified it and I can't find the driver anywhere
Thats right. Toshiba offers modified and tested drivers only. Due to specific design and cooling system Toshiba must take care about hardware protection, especially about overheating.
This is the reason why offered display driver is modified and dont allow GPU to run on highest level that can be reason for hardware damage.
If you are not satisfied with notebooks performance you should try to upgrade RAM to maximum level.

  • How to find My info card to fill out for Siri?

I just bought my first iPhone 4S and am trying to set up Siri. I went to Apple website (from my iMac) and followed the instruction on manual but could not find "your personal info card ("My info") in Contacts to fill out. The manual says "Go to Settings>Siri>My Info, then tap your name", but all I see is the list of contacts and there is no access to get to "My Info" or my name. I even tried to "Add" myself as a new contact so that I can "tap my name", but then there is no box to fill in home and work addresses on "your card".
By the way, I had to get to Siri from Settings then to General then to Siri.  Maybe this manual is old one for iPhone 4?   If so where can I find the right one for 4S?
The whole purpose here is to let Siri recognize who I am.
    Thanks for your help!
    Lako

I'm pretty sure you were reading the correct manual but to be sure: open Safari on your iPhone, click the Bookmarks icon and then find iPhone User Guide. You can also add a user guide icon to your home screen.
    See:
Downloading a User Guide for your iPod, iPhone, iPad, Mac
If you think something is excluded from the manual you can leave Apple feedback: http://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • How to find SID for thin driver URL?

Hi all. this is probably a real basic quesiton. What query
can I run on an Oracle DBMS to get the SID? I can get
    a SQL-PLUS connection, and the tnsnames.ora entry
lists the service name, not the SID. I would have expected
them to be identical, but maybe they're not exactly?
    thanks
    Joe

    Hi Joe,
as Avi stated having sufficient privileges you can do a
    select instance_name from v$instance
or depending on your tnsnames.ora a tnsping of your service name might also reveal the instance_name.
Or if you have shell access to the db server host and priviledges you can also do an
    lsnrctl status | grep -i 'your_service_name'

  • CD/DVDs Not Mounting But Drive is Recognized / SCSI Card Not Seen

Apologies for this mess in advance, but I thought it was worth seeing if anyone had an idea of what to try on either of these two issues from a system software perspective before I start breaking the computer apart and tinkering with hardware.
My G4 is the 733 MHz model which first shipped with the SuperDrive. That SuperDrive died years ago and I replaced it with an HP DVD Writer 300n which worked fine up until some version update of 10.4 though I can't recall the specific version. In any case, now the drive will not mount any CD or DVD that I insert, commercially-pressed or otherwise. The eject key on the keyboard functions properly, the tray opens and closes without problem and when a disc is inserted the activity light goes on and the disc spins for a minute and all seems normal, but the disc never appears on the desktop nor in any Finder window. The drive is still recognized in the System Profiler and I've double-checked the CD/DVD settings under System Preferences to verify that nothing is set to ignore there. I suppose it's possible the laser suddenly went bad, but as I said, the symptoms showed up following an update (though it was a while ago and at the time I had no need for a optical drive on this computer so I didn't address it then).
The second issue I discovered when I attached an external optical drive via the SCSI port I hadn't used in many years. That drive wasn't recognized at all and when I looked in the System Profiler the SCSI card isn't listed under PCI Cards. Is there a generic SCSI card driver I might be missing under OS X or will I need to open up the computer and determine which card I actually have in there?
Any suggestions would be appreciated and hopefully I've provided enough information to make that possible.

Hi K Roth, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I find Optical drives fairly short lived myself, but on the Internal, you might try PatchBurn...
    http://www.patchburn.de/
Do you have another Mac with Firewire and a good optical drive?
If so you can boot the Other Mac into Target mode...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58583
Boot this G4 with the Option key held down, see if the Install Disc in the other Mac shows up as a boot choice.

  • How to find driver for gtx 285 on my Mac Pro

I installed the new gtx285 card into my 2008 Mac Pro the other day (everything is fine) and then I saw a new driver on the internet, but I can't find which graphics card driver I am currently using on my Mac.
I looked in system profiler but had no luck.
Can anyone please advise me on how to check driver versions on a Mac and if there is anything like an Nvidia preferences window that allows me to check the card settings?
Also, there is a CUDA driver listed also that should be installed after the nvidia driver. Does anyone have any information about this cuda driver and whether it needs to be installed?
    Thanks.

Did you install the drive CD that was with the 285? The version should be written on the CD. The one online from evga is 2F16.
