How to find the Datasources for the given table names ?

Hi All,
I have an urgent requirement where I ned to find the names of BW Datasources, created for the given table names.
Both the tables and Datasources are in BW system only. I can see the table in SE11 but I am unable to find its associated Datasources in the 'Where Used List'.
Is there any method ?
Will assign points to satisfactory answers.

Hi,
Check this thread on how to find the DS.
I have the field name, please help me find the data source.
Once you identify your DS you find which all Data targets are fed by trying to see the " Show data flow" in RSA1 for this data source.

U want to fetch the workarea description ?
we can fetch it from CCIHT_WALD table with the RECN value.
The informations are stored in AUSP table with the characterstic(ATINN) value.

How to findout DS for a given table name!

Hi Raj,
As you said it's a customized table it will be difficult to find the standard data source, better to create a generic data source.
Can you post ur requirement and what is the customized table n the fields in the table.
If its not a new development system you can make use of the table RSOSFIELDMAP-Mapping Between OLTP Source Fields and InfoObjects to get the data source names where that particular field is being used.
or else if its not used in any of the data source in your system then you can search in SDN or google to find out the data source.
If there is not data source related to your respective table then u can go for creation of Generic data source.

How to find infosource/datasource for master data.....

i would like to know how to find the infosource/datasource for the master data in RSA1, i have looked for in infosources options to find master data infosource, say for example 0material, 0fiscalyear /0fiscperiod. i was not able to find but in the process chains the data is getting loaded into it. i could see the data going from monitor screen to the selection screen of the master data and then click on execute button and data is present.
secondly when i have clicked on the respective infoobject i was not able to find any requests under requests tab???????

Here go to top screen ...or find the control icon thru cntl +F
here enter your infosource/infoobject name......
Double click on the result and it will show the infosource...under that infopackage

How to find compensation data for the year

Dear All,
Scenario:
A company wants to know the comepnsation data for financial year 2009-2010.
Problem: I couldnot find a single report which can provide the compensation of an employee for the year.
We are trying to build a report however needs input if anyone has done that:
Table which stores this data is PS_COMPENSATION.
Problem is : it stores data in effective date.
How to then convert it into a year -April 2010 to March 2011
For example: cases
a. existing employee: whose effective comp data will be less than April 2010
- Plus, there are pay rate changes between April 2010 to march 2011. (Pay rate change can happen on any date of the month)
- How can I add them to find the Compensation as per comp page from 1st April to 31st march 2011

I'm afraid what you're looking for is not likely to be a trivial task. If you have all of the modules required for the "Report Total Compensation" product, then you should take a look at the associated PeopleBook. I think you will have to be on HRMS 9.0 at a minimum, and using Payroll for North America and Benefits Administration.
To create a custom solution, you may have to consider a variety of other factors such job status--leave, terminated, terminated with pay, etc.--hourly vs. salaried, part time vs. full time, multi-job, variable compensation. It will depend entirely on the specific features that are being used at your site.
If you provide a very detailed example of the output you are looking for with sample data, someone might be willing to offer a solution.

Couple of ways to do this, one is to go to SE93 and do F4 on the transaction code field, click information system, click the all selections icon, then put the name of the z program in the field, and hit enter, this will give you the tcode.

How to find component details for the equipment BOM

I have a requirement ..I need to find all the component numbers for the equipment BOM. Can anybody pls help me in finding a table containing this information. I check in tcode IB02,IB03 but I am not able to find the database table containing this information.

Hi, Main table for equipment BOM is EQST. You can get the details from STPO (Item) and STKO (Header). You can use the FM CSAI_BOM_READ. Here u need to pass the header details and CSIN-STLTY = E " Equipment BOM.

How to find out query for the deleted record.

Hi Guys,
We are using Oracle9i release 1. We are about 5 employees who are working on the same application. All Employee are connected to the same Schema (User)
User: Employee/web
Now one of the user have deleted like 200,000 records from a table. We just want to trace out the query by which these records were deleted.
From which file i can get the log of executed queries so that i can recover the data.
Just want to know the query executed for this deletion of records?
we are using windows server.

If you do not need an exact query, but only the way you can reconstruct the data, LogMiner can be solution for you. Below I have put a simple example you can review it if you want.

How to find latest child for a given parent in same table?

Here I am giving an example -
Orig_ID     Chg_to_ID
A     B
B     C
C     D
D     Null
From source I use to get Orig_ID values, using Orig_ID value have to find latest Child(Chg_to_ID) to that at any level.
Latest child identify by Null value in the column "Chg_to_ID".
If I get B --> need to replace B with D. I may get any value A or B or C or D -- but at an end I have to replace those values with 'D', since it is latest for any of those parents.
I tried to use "Connect By Prior", but it is tooo slow ofcourse query not returned after 10min also. Plz advise.

First time every employee will be assingend an ID and may changed/merged to another ID basing on some other conditins. So, any time first assigned ID may changed to new ID and will be updated to another column "Chg_to_ID" as winner ID and at the same time one more records will be created with new ID as ID and Null in "Chg_to_ID".
In my first post, given an example, here pasting again:
Orig_ID     Chg_to_ID
A-------------->B
B-------------->C
C-------------->D
D-------------->Null
In detail: One employee first assigned ID as "A" after wards changed to "B". At that time data would be like below
Orig_ID     Chg_to_ID
A-------------->B
B-------------->Null
After that B change to C, now it looks like this:
Orig_ID     Chg_to_ID
A-------------->B
B-------------->C
C-------------> Null
For each change one record will be inserted.
My requirement is -- Orig_ID may get A or B or C, but I need to replace those with "C", since it is latest child. For latest child "Chg_to_ID" is NULL.
Plz let me know for any clarifications.

Find The Transaction for the given EXIT Name

This is my doubt,pls dont think in the other sense
I know how to find the EXIT for a given Transaction. My question is that IS THERE IS ANY WAY TO FIND THE TRANSACTION FOR A GIVEN EXIT NAME.Could any one help me out on this.My fuctional guys are giving me the EXIT names and asking me to find for which transaction the exit triggers.

hi lakshmi,
try the following steps.
1. give the exit name in SMOD.(J45A0007) go to display mode
2. click component and take the exit name.(EXIT_SAPMJ45A_009)
3. here SAPMJ45A is the progam name, so that in SE38 give the progame name click the Where used button and select the transaction and deselect other checkbox.
4. you will get the transaction code.
