How to find the Music and Movies folder in your Finder

I wish I bought a cheap computer with low GB space because MacBook Pro GB is not enough so you have to buy an external harddrive anyway.
Anyway I wanted to delete some music files but I couldn't delete it from the Disk Inventory. I remember someone from Apple navigating my files from the Finder Macintosh HD and saw how much GB of movies and music I had and then I could delete it then and there, but I can't find the folder he went to. I found it once after so much hard finding and then I got lost again as I tried to find it again today.
So how do you find that place?

Out of interest, how much space is on your harddrive? Replacing it with a larger one is easy and cheap.
It is much easier to purchase an external HD and store the ITunes library on it.

How can I stop music and movies from being automatically deleted from my phone and saved on the cloud? I've just tried to watch a movie on my 2 hour commute, but yet AGAIN it has been removed. I do NOT want to spank all of my data allowance downloading it again, especially because (believe it or not) I added it to my phone because that's precisely where I wanted it!! Any help much appreciated

FYI I had to put this link into firefox to reply - because **** back safari just wouldn't register my clicks to any of the links on the post... Despite reloadeing and even restarting my computer. Totally annoying and a massive pain in the ***.
But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap.

  • When i sync my music from com to my Iphone and movie clips I can't play them. It look likes it is in iCloud. Next to the music and movie clips there is a download sign (circle with a dot inside)

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

  • How do I get music and movies from iPod to my computer?

Hi How can I put all of my music and movies that are on my iPod onto my computer? They were all on my computer before but became erased. Thanks!

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

    iRepo Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How to add games, music, and movies on different computers

Every one in my family got an iPod for Christmas and we are still trying to figure out how to use them. There are three computers under one account and they are all authorized. How do we download the games and movies/tv shows that have been purchased with the account on another computer?(example:There are 3 games and a couple of songs wanted on each computer so how do we get those on all 3 computers?)

How do we download the games and movies/tv shows that have been purchased with the account on another computer?
Right-click an item, find its location, copy it as well as the other content near it to another computer, and then drag that instance of it into the open iTunes window.

  • How to sync contacts, music, and movies from iPhone to new mac and unsync from old PC?

Hi, I know this question has been asked a lot but for some reason I could not get a clear understanding of what everyone was talking about and my situation might be a tad different.
So I already had an iPhone that was synced to my dell PC. I just got a new macbook pro retina and now I'm trying to transfer my contacts, movies, and music to my mac from my iPhone. However I keep getting a message that says if I sync to this mac then all of my stuff will be deleted from my iPhone. (I am now aware that they mean only iTunes content, but those are still important to me). I still own my PC but there is no way I can connect my PC and Mac together. Is there a way possible that I could "unsync" my iPhone to my PC and sync it to the Mac without erasing the stuff from my iPhone? Are there other methods of syncing my iPhone to my new mac? My last question is that is it possible to transfer purchases from my mac to my iPhone even if it is or isn't synced to the PC or erased of content?
Hopefully this sounds coherent, and thank you all in advance for your help. I'm new to all of this and I really appreciate your time.

It is designed so syncing is one way only (with the exception of iTunes Store purchases) computer to phone.  You need to transfer the library from the old computer to the new one so the phone is syncing back to the same library it used to or else it will request you erase the phone.
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its sub-folders and files) intact to the other drive.  Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes.  At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.
You can use  flash drive for copying, breaking it down into chunks if necessary but making sure they get re-assembled correctly again.
If this is to a new computer and you put the copied iTunes folder in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music  then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there.  (Make sure there isn't anything already in the iTunes folder there that you want to keep since you will be replacing it with the one you are moving.)

  • How to get the draft and sent folder in java mail

i found the File Not Found error while accessing the draft, sent folder to fecth from the mail sever using IMAP. i m using the code like tis
    draft=store.getFolder("draft");
    sent=store.getFolder("sent");
And i want to know whether the draft, sent, trash folder is default like inbox or not

There are probably no folders with those names on your IMAP server.
Unlike INBOX, there are no standard names for "draft" or "sent" folders,
so you need to know exactly what name is used by the other email
    clients you're using.

  • HT4363 How do you put music and movies from iPad to iPhone?

How do I put all of my movies and music from my iPad 2 to my iPhone 4s?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You may well be simply able to redownload them depending on your location, otherwise you will have to transfer them to iTunes on a computer and then to the phone from iTunes.

  • Everytime i Sync ipad or iphone after restarting computer the music and movie boxes have been automatically unchecked. Then if i check it it ask remove and sync. Why is this happening?

As question the says itunes keeps unchecking the movies and music boxes and i then have to "remove and Sync" then reselect the movies i want to watch. Movies is set to allow me to selct only what I want and music is sync all music. I appreciate any help.

Hmm. That sounds easy enough... but how do I backup to the new computer when it doesn't give me the option? When I connect the iPad via USB, it asks me to:
    • set up as a new IPad
    • restore from a previous backup (where the only backup listed in the drop down menu is a stolen iPad with outdated information, dated April of 2011. It doesn't ask to restore from iCloud where this current iPad is backed up.)
If you're suggesting that I back up both devices to iCloud and then wipe them, then plug them into the new computer and restore from the iCloud backup, so that my new computer considers these new devices, that makes sense... except that I don't see an option to restore from iCloud. Does that option appear later? And is it absolutely certain that any app I have entered data into will restore that information as well, and not just the app? For example, if I have an index card app which I make essay notes in, will those notes definitely be backed up along with the app? Or just the app? I can't afford to lose all my work data.
    Thanks.

  • How to organise the musics and playlist follow the...

    Hi,
I'm using Nokia N95 8GB and I have about 6GB songs in the Mass Memory.
I have already organise the songs in different folders.
Now my problem is how to add playlist follow the folder?
Cause all songs are sort by the song title and it is very difficult for me to organise them since they are so many songs in the mass memory.
So is there any other easy way to organise them?

    m8,
The Nokia built-in player have no features that you are seeking, but there are applications(player) from 3rd party that can do more customization than that of Nokia.
