How to find the original photo behind faces

How to find the original picture behind Faces

That is not the original photo - it shows the entire current photo with edits so you can see the context of the face - you can not see the original photo while in faces - you can in edit mode by depressing the shift key

  • IPhoto can not find the original photo, does iPhoto copy the photo or just make a thumbnail?

    Hi,
    I'm scanning and putting all of my (paper) photos into my computer and then into iPhoto, tagging them, and doing all the time consuming things necessary to build a good library.
    I've tried to open a few of the events and look at the photos I put in but I get an error that iPhoto can not find the original photo.  When I put a photo into iPhoto does the program only make a thumbnail copy with a link to the original, or does it actually copy the photo into the library?  I'm thinking the former.  Because I have a Time Machine backup, a hard copy, and (presumably) a copy in iPhoto, I have been deleting the photos AFTER putting them into iPhoto.  Do I need to keep the photos I put in iPhoto on my computer?  Will I need to go into TM and restore them?  Will I loose the information like Faces, Places, Keywords, if I do?
    Thank you much,
    I'm working with 9.1.2

    I have exactly the same problem except my photo is named "L1000093.jpg" and it's been there for a year now, but suddenly, when I wanted to view it in it's album, ("Favorite" which has been there for a year too), it says "The photo P1010311.jpg cannot be found"!!!  What the heck is going on?  So I canceled, went back to the album, clicked on L1000093, clicked "show event", went over to Event, clicked "reveal in finder" and there it is, iPhoto Library/Master/blah blah blah... L1000093.jpg!
    Where the hack did that P1010311.jpg came from?  Sure I have that photo, but it's in a completely different event and a different album!  What's is iPhoto 11 / Lion / iTunes 10.5.3(3) up to?
    So I threw L1000093jpg into the trash, went into Lightroom, find the original, re-export it, load it again into iPhoto, added it again to the album (favorite), and guess what?  I just did all those and the same "The bloody photo cannot be found" message popped up and when I go to finder, there it is.
    This is a bug.  It's been a bug since 2006 as far as I can remember.  And Apple had never done a complete fix.  It's an if thing!
    And the most frustrating part:  Althought they call this an Apple forum and you have to sign in to participate, I have never seen one Apple software guy here saying "this is what to do", just us victims helping each other and many non-Apple folks guessing to the best of their ability to comfort us.
    Oh, toys are toys.  I sometimes wonder if Steve had fought so hard yet the cancer in Apple actually won!

  • How to find the original lengh of a VARCHAR2 field

    Hi all...

    How to find the actual length of the field.

    > How to find the original lengh of a VARCHAR2 field.
    Why?
    And where? A varchar2 in SQL or a varchar2 in PL/SQL? Varchar2 arguments have no explicit size in parameter signature for a procedure or a function.

    Use File >> Save As
    Choose a different file name so as not to overwrite the original and don't save any changes when closing the original.

  • How do I find the original photo that is used in one of my contact photo in "Contacts"?

    Hi everyone,
    I am in a bit of a dilemma. I desperately need to find and/or access the original photo used as a contacts photo in the OSX built in app "Contacts". I can resize the photo and I can see it in full but I can't find the original anywhere and in any way.
    I'd really appreciate some help here, as the photo is dear to my heart but seems to have gone missing. It was originally scanned in but isn't showing up where all my scanned photos are saved. Eek!
    If anyone has any pointers on where I could find this photo in its original size, please do share them!
    Ta,
    posies

    Hi DonTimo,
    I've tried doing that, but in the said folder there are only default pictures. I can't find the images of any contacts in the app "Contacts" anywhere. The thread you refered me to and many others that are smilar to it, date back to about 2009-2010.
    Really need this photo.  Any other pointers?

  • How to find the Feeder class behind Incident creation in SAP EHS?

    I have a requirement where i need to change the message text after clicking "Send" button while creating Incident.
    How to find the feeder class and method which is called behind "Send" button ?
    Thanks,
    Vimal

    I dont have such.. but you can set  external debug point in function module POWL_QUERY_REFRESH
    * get the result object type from the feeder
       lr_feeder->get_object_definition(
          EXPORTING
           i_selcrit_values = lt_crit_para  " selcrit dependent object def.
           i_langu = l_langu                                     "nt_1673495
           i_type  = i_query_data-type
          IMPORTING
           e_object_def = lr_object_def
    In I_QUERY_DATA-TYPE you can see name of POWL ID.
    Find it in transaction POWL_TYPE and you get name of feader class!

    Hi,
    Thanks for your response. It is PM related.  When I run a T Code - IK18,  the field Total Counter Reading field appears. I am looking for that particular fields actual table name and field name.  I think I have found it in IMGR table. Now I want to get IMRG-READG in my report, but there is no common fields in neither MKPF or MSEG table. So what can I do to connect IMRG table with either of them ?

  • How to find the original RAW file # from a Lightroom exported JPG?

    Hello, this is in regards to a Lightroom 3.5 exported JPG. This was a year ago when I had been told it was best to export files with simple renumbering of them from 1 to x... instead of retaining the original RAW 4-digit file name.
    I've currently lost the original files, and need to do a search for them via these 4 digits to see if I have them tucked away in any of my drives. I downloaded a metadata explorer, and it's telling me all the lightroom editing information, and everything else, but somehow does not have the simplest of information — that 4 digit original file name.
    Am I grasping at straws or is there likely to be any way to find this information out? I don't work with metadata, so there wouldn't have been any customizations to how Lightroom configures this....hoping that's in my favor. Any help is much appreciated!!!!

    A note about security (context: downloaded apps & plugins...).
    Anatomy of a URL:
    protocol://stuff.stuff.stuff.domain.domain-suffix/stuff/stuff?stuff=stuff
    None of this stuff matters much except:
    domain.domain-suffix (and protocol, to some extent).
    So if you download something from:
    http://ignafradifcawhatyousay.toolonganyway.my.server.com/gogafnoics...
    It's coming from server.com using http (web) protocol.
    But, if you download it from:
    http://my.server.com.badguy.tv/...
    It's coming from badguy.tv, NOT server.com, so if you want it from server.com - danger will robins...
    And, if you download from
    http://216.195.245.134/my.server.com
    It's coming from an unregistered internet address (216.195.245.134) - again: danger...
    (4 groups of up-to-3 digits separated by dots is the format for a literal internet (IP) address, instead of domain-name...)
    Summary: if you learn the anatomy of a URL, and pay attention to the URL's you are clicking on, or entering directly, you can take more responsibility for security, and assure (to a greater extent) you don't download from an unfriendly source.
    Disclaimer: I accept no legal responsibility for anything that happens as a result of anything written above...

  • How to find the original CO document after the settlement process

    Does is posible to know the original CO document (from MM, FI or RH...) after the settlement process?
    We need to find a table or just a report in order to mapple the original CO document with his new CO document after the settlement.
    Kind regards.

    If you are talking about project settlement then you can look in report CJI3, the transaction type for settlement transaction is KOAO. You may run a filter and double click the relevant line item to drill down and see the original settlement document.

  • How to ID the original photo of a group of edits if all are titled similarl

    I am trying to clean out, organize, straighten out my 3000+ photos in iPhoto '08.
    Over the years I have made copies and edits of original photos in the Photo Library. Some of those copies I placed in separate albums, but many times I simply made a copy of the original, edited it, and left it there! I now realize that the Photo Library should house only the original, not the edited photos, but this knowledge came late to me. Also: Not only did I edit my original pictures, but I renamed them, and just looking at the new titles is not sufficient info to detect the original.
    If I look at the ”i“ button to get into on a picture, would I be correct in assuming that the picture with the biggest KB is the original? Say, if I have five photos of my dog, all edited from one lone photo, and titled 'Cheyenne,' 'Cheyenne in pool,' etc, the one with the most KB or MB is the original? But what if in an edit, I make a picture darker, saturate it with color, and make it denser. Would that not make an edited picture actually ”denser?”

    The Original will be the largest file. It's a very solid and sensible rule of thumb and will be correct in about 99.999999% of cases.
    But what if in an edit, I make a picture darker, saturate it with color, and make it denser. Would that not make an edited picture actually ”denser?”
    No. When you edit a jpeg it is recompressed and it is inevitable that each generation is smaller than the last. In about 99.999999% of cases.

  • IPhone: How to get the original photo image with  Picker

    Hi!
    I'm trying to pick and send (via HTTP) the original image taken by the camera, the 1,600 x 1,2000 image that's available in iPhoto after syncing.
    As far as I gathered, the UIImage doesn't help me here, since it's scaled down to 640x480, probably to safe memory. But one should supposedly be able to access the underlying CIImage.
    Here's what I'm doing right now:
    I'm setting up an ImagePickerController in my
    - (void)viewDidLoad
    imagePickerController = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init];
    imagePickerController.delegate = self;
    imagePickerController.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeSavedPhotosAlbum;
    [self refreshView:self];
    and process the picked image with
    - (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController )picker didFinishPickingImage:(UIImage )image editingInfo:(NSDictionary )editingInfo
    CGImageRef imgRef = image.CGImage;
    CGFloat owidth = CGImageGetWidth(imgRef);
    CGFloat oheight = CGImageGetHeight(imgRef);
    NSLog(@"Original size = %f %f",owidth,oheight);
    NSData imageData = [NSData dataWithData: UIImagePNGRepresentation(image)];//(image, 1.0)
    However, I still get the following output:
    2008-07-25 11:44:58.543 myApplication[1564:20b] Original size = 640.000000 480.000000
    Obviously still scaled down - but there must be a way to access the original.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Yes, I'm trying on the iPhone, as the camera is unavailable on the simulator.
    Here is the code I'm using:
    // In my main code, to initialise the picker
    UIImagePickerController *picker;
    // Check if camera is available
    if ( ![UIImagePickerController isSourceTypeAvailable:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera] )
    UIAlertView *alertView = [[UIAlertView alloc]
    initWithTitle:@"Can't access camera" message:@"The camera is unavailable!" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:nil otherButtonTitles:@"OK", nil ];
    [alertView show];
    [alertView release];
    return;
    picker = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init];
    picker.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera;
    picker.delegate = self;
    [_myView addSubview:picker.view];
    [_myView performSelectorOnMainThread:@selector(setNeedsDisplay) withObject:nil waitUntilDone:NO];
    // The delegate methods
    - (void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingImage:(UIImage *)image editingInfo:(NSDictionary *)editingInfo
    NSLog( @"Image dimensions: %fx%f", image.size.width, image.size.height );
    // Remove the picker interface and release the picker object.
    [picker.view removeFromSuperview];
    [picker release];
    - (void)imagePickerControllerDidCancel:(UIImagePickerController *)picker
    // Remove the picker interface and release the picker object.
    [picker.view removeFromSuperview];
    [picker release];
    }

    Hi
    I have bought an Iphone 4 from ebay. It was listed as brand new and on o2. The phone has never been activated but it won't take an o2 sim, in fact I've tried the majority of the UK networks and it just keeps saying sim not supported please insert the original sim. The seller is very unhelpful and I'm a bit lost now. Can anyone help? I'm an iphone novice, am I doing something wrong?

    The only option here is to contract 02 and ask them why the phone won't work.  If the phone is supposedly locked to 02, then they are the only ones who can help you.  Try contacting them to see.
    If they can't help you, then I'm afraid that you have been had on ebay and it is never a good idea to purchase iPhones and anything of an expensive nature there - you can never trust what people say.
    You need to contact the seller and either ask for the original sim card for the phone and if the phone is actually locked to 02 or you just tell them that you are returning the phone for a full refund.
    If the seller is not being helpful, then you can file a dispute with ebay and ebay will then sort it out for you and you should be able to return the phone for a full refund.
    Bottom line:  Don't buy an iPhone from ebay and if you want an iPhone on 02, go to an 02 store and buy one - they have plenty in stock - my local branch has iPhone 5's in stock and they still have the iPhone 4's if you want one.

    Thanks Seshu,
    I just tried it as per your suggestion but I found for non-cancelled items konv-kbert is not equal to the net value taken from vbap-netwr.  So I wonder if knov-kbert is the right original net value for those cancelled items.
