You cannot get most part numbers by just typing a command.
Your example of X6805A isn't even a part number.
Sun call thats a Sales Option number.
"Sales Options" include hardware, printed pamphlets, cardboard cartons and driver disks as appropriate.
The repair part equivalent for that would be 540-6604,
which in turn is assembled of various 73GB FCAL disk part numbers
such as 390-0256 or 390-0269 or 390-0279,
with an appropriate mounting bracket
(as stocked for your Field Engineer to order when they need to replace it for you).
The mounting bracket assemblies have their own part numbers.
Repair parts have part numbers, sales options do not.
"Part Numbers" are on paper barcode stickers.
For a hardware component to report its part number to you when you type a command,
it would need to have some sort of SEEPROM where the data would be written.
Then the data registers in the SEEPROM could cough up their text contents when you made the inquiry.
Run prtfru on your system and review whatever output you might get.
It will be different depending on what model computer you have.
Even what may seem to be a part number in that output is not so.
"Part Numbers" are stockroom assemblies for repair purposes.

You need to sit down and figure out an algo on how you would do it if you had to do the same thing from a blind container perspective:
1 - collect all the items you want to look at
2 - look at an item
3 - is it odd?
4 - if it is odd then check if it is larger than previously largest number
5 - save it if it is larger
6 - return back to 2 unless no more items
7 - item is not odd so it must be even--is it smaller than previous
8 - save it if it is smaller
9 - return back to 2 unless no more items
Now you just need to know how to check if something is even or odd: to do this you will need the modulous operator--integer division.
Note: this all assumes that your needs are for integer type of numbers, otherwise there is not enough information to define an answer. For instance, if you are using floats at 0.5--it that even or odd? Do you consider an err factor when dealing with floats? etc...

There are some ways to improve performance of this code, but if you are not reading thousands of lines it's quite fast.
After this part you can dimension the array to pass to FileToArray... unless you want to read it yourself since you already have it open!

Hi Dev,
Go to the change/display mode of the info object (0CUSTOMER) in your case. Go to the Master data/Text tab. Here you will find the master data tables according to your settings (P orQ or X or Y). Double click on the table name and it will take you to the SE11 display. From there, you can check the number of records as you do in any transparent table.

If you're talking about commercial sites (sites you don't have the source code for) I'm not sure.
If you want to count the links in site that you have the source code for, it should be relatively easy to write a Java application to do it. All you really need to do is have a list of the files you want to count links in, read each file line by line and check for the existance of the <a> tag in each line. Anywhere their is an <a> tag there is a link.

More generally, if you write like a semi-literate b o o b you will very likely be ignored. So don't use instant-messaging shortcuts. Spelling "you" as "u" makes you look like a semi-literate b o o b to save two entire keystrokes.

Hi,
Look for the system field SY_TABIX. That will contain the number of records which have been put into an internal table through a select statement.
For ex:
data: itab type mara occurs 0 with header line.
Select * from mara into table itab.
Write: Sy-tabix.
This will give you the number of entries that has been selected.
I am not sure what you mean by the second question. If you can let me know what you need then we might have a solution.

You can check to see if it contains a string once by using the contains function, but there isn't a very clean way to do what you want. If you wanted to guess at the maximum number of occurrences, then you could:
Box A has your initial. Set Box B to do a concat of string-before and string-after of Box A where it copies Box A minus the string we're looking for. Then we have Box C that does the same thing to Box B. Repeat as many times as you see necessary.
Example:
String: "1"
Box A - "123451234512345"
Box B - "23451234512345"
Box C - "2345234512345"
Box D - "234523452345"
etc.
We then have a field that has nested ifs looking backwards from Z -> A looking for a non-blank. Based on that, we return the number of occurrences. Again, this isn't clean, but it will work if you think there's a predefinable maximum.

What Ed said is true that Oracle doesn't note which type of protocol is connecting to the database, however, you can see which program is accessing the database.
For example: if you already know of a user using ODBC, you can verify as:
select username, osuser, terminal, program from v$session where username = 'SCOTT'
USERNAME                 OSUSER          TERMINAL   PROGRAM
SCOTT                    IUSR_SRV231     SRV231     w3wp.exe
SCOTT                    IUSR_SRV231     SRV231     w3wp.exe
2 rows selected.Assuming that you can confirm the progam noted in the above (example) is the one using ODBC, then you can change the query such as:
SQL> select username, osuser, terminal, program from v$session where program = 'w3wp.exe';
USERNAME                 OSUSER          TERMINAL   PROGRAM
SCOTT                    IUSR_SRV231     SRV231     w3wp.exe
SCOTT                    IUSR_SRV231     SRV231     w3wp.exe
2 rows selected.Just for kicks, I checked our listener.log file, but there was no reference of odbc in it either.
