How to find the previous path environment variable in windows 2008
I am reconfiguring the Hyperion 11.1.2, and later, I installed the ODI. And them when I come back to reconfigure the Hyperion, it cannot be reconfigured, and say cannot find the path parameter. And I check the PATH environment variable, and find it is showing a dumy value, do we have a way to recover the previous PATH envirnment variable?
To get the source IP address, you will need to enable File Share auditing: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772690%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
Otherwise, you can simply disconnect the user session.

How to find the value of a variable in other program
How to find the value of a variable in other program say I am in a FM and this FM is being called in from other program and I want to know some of the variable details of the program from the FM itself. Imagine if this is a txn. and I need to know the details from some of the programs while executing the same transaction

VinHi Vinayak,
you will be having your first program values in internal table or some variables,
when you are calling the second program you wii use like this,
SUBMIT <Second Program Name> USING SELECTION-SCREEN '1000'
WITH s_emp(second program select-options) IN t_emp(first program variables)
WITH p_chk EQ t_chk
WITH p_r1 EQ t_r1
WITH p_month EQ t_month
WITH s_cust1 IN t_cust1
WITH p_r2 EQ t_r2
WITH s_cust2 IN t_cust2
WITH s_week IN t_week
AND RETURN.

How to find the PREVIOUS value of a non-DB item?
I want to do a simple thing but found it impossible.
I want to find the previous value of a non-DB item in a form.
I tried creating a text item and populating it using PRE-TEXT-ITEM but that does not work.
WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM does not work either because WVI fires only after item value has changed.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

1. first install java

first three steps I have done with the help of installer maker. let assume that my tomcat has been installed. but now please tell me how can I deploy my web application.
that's why I need the tomcat path.
please tell me.Well, if you've just installed Tomcat you do know where it is so what's the problem? Why not, in fact, include your application in the tomcat directories as you install them? That's all there is to installing tomcat, installing the directories, setting %JAVA_HOME% and (possibly) running the service.bat file. -

How to Get the Client's Environment Variables?
I have a page which need inputing account of the intranet then send a mail upon the intranet. So,it is important for me to verify if the account is legal or if this account is the user himself or herself in order to refuse any bad sending.
Of course I can get Environment Variables of "user.name" of my own PC.But How can I get Others before they can send mail? You can't read with an applet some system properties, including the "user.name" property. Not even with a signed applet.
Here you have some links:
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/applet/practical/properties.html
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/applet/practical/security.html

So you should find another way, for instance authentication. -

How to find the physical path of a file
Usually, one can use absFileNmae() method to find the path of a file in Java. The problem is that it may only return a mapped path when a Servlet or JSP is running in a special server. For example, when I run a servlet "MyProgram" in JRun, absFileName() only returns "c:\JRun\jsm-default\MyProgram", which is just a mapped path, not a real physical path.
By the way, in ASP, one can use server.mapPath("MyASPProgram.asp") to obtain the real physical path of the file.
Your solution is welcome.

How to find the field name of variable system information on SAP B1
Hi All,
I recently wanted to create a simple SQL query to list all ITEM MASTER DATE where the weight is blank. This is so i can get a list of all items with the weight information missing from the system to investigate.
It turns out the weight field within the SALES DATA tab is a system variable. When i pull the OITM table up within the query generator i can not identify where this variable name come up without guessing which can give me the wrong information.
Can someone point me into the direction on how to assisocate variable to a field name within SAP B1. This is also another problem if i wanted to display variable within Crystal report layout.
RegardsHi Nick Dang,
Try This
SELECT T0.[ItemCode], T0.[ItemName], T0.[SalUnitMsr], T0.[SHeight1], T0.[SWidth1], T0.[SLength1], T0.[SVolume], T0.[SWeight1] FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.[ItemCode] =[%0]

Finding the exact path of a file using a Java program
Can anyone tell me how to find the exact path of a file which is saved in a directory other than the one in which the main file is saved? I know there is a class called File which has many methods like isAbsolutePath() and isPath() but they return the path in which the main class is located
actually i m trying to write a program which will
take a name of a file or a directory from the console
and it should give the entire path of that file or
directory and this file need not be stored in the
path of the main class.....It can be stored in any
drives of my PC....Ok, then the console input needs to be an absolute path or a path relative to some given directory (usually the one from which the application is started). Java cannot magically guess absolute paths if you just provide a file name. E.g. if I'd use your program and would provide as input "build.xml", how should the program know which file by that name I mean (there are lots of build.xml files in different locations on my machine)? -
Jar file doesn't read classpath environment variable from windows xp
I created a small program that uses javamail and jdbc driver. I program on Win XP and use java 1.6.04.
When I compiled my classes the program works fine but when I created a jar package the jar file cannot 'see' the classpath that windows has already set.
I have to set the classpath in the manifest file and then it works ok.
Is this normal? I was expecting that the jar file would work just fine without any complication since the classpath is already set in the system?
If you could point to any documentation that covers this it would be great.
Thank you very much.
Gentigenti_tech wrote:
I specified the class-path in manifest in jar file and I looked at the tutorial you are suggesting:

which is not clear at all about the fact that jar ignores the class-path environment variable. It is specified for java. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/windows/java.html#-jar
