How to find unhidden tv shows on iTunes?

I recently saw that I had hid some TV shows on iTunes, and I wanted to watch them, so I clicked 'unhide'.  I thought this would mean that they would reappear in my library.  However I can not find them.
Does anyone have any ideas as to where I might find them?
Thank you

For each application, launch it and choose About from that application's menu, or control-click its Dock icon, choose Show in Finder, control-click that, and choose Get Info.

Two different topics seem to have been in this thread.
The initial question (by Spanky0212) simply asked how to delete TV shows from iTunes.
Then jwutzkechimed in with deleting downloads, not items that are already in iTunes.
but they will constantly come back when you do a sync/update/check for downloads.
Sync, update and check for downloads are completely different tasks and in no way related.
Sync does just that. it syncs the iDevice with iTunes.
Update will update OS the iDevice.
Check for downloads has nothign to do with iDevice. It checks iTunes store for items you have not completed downloading.
I don't know why the DELETE / MOVE FILES TO TRASH option doesn't work in iTunes; but the directions I listed above does.
Are the items you are trying to delete, located in the iTunes media folder shown in iTunes prefs > Advanced?
Do you have Keep iTunes media folder organized checked? If not to either of these, iTunes will not delete them.
Per your instructions above, the item will still be listed in iTunes.

  • HT1657 how to find previously rented movies in itunes

How do I find previously rented movies in Itunes if I can't remember the specific name.
    Mwilliamswi

Settings - iTunes - check for rental
Once you press play you have 24/48hrs (depending on region) to view. Accessing other content or turning the device off will flush the movie, and it will need to reload

  • How does one Browse tv shows in iTunes (iPad)?

    Hi,
I want to browse TV shows on iTunes using my iPad. So I go to TV Shows->TV Under $20 and then sort by name. The search results list only titles beginning with numbers and the letter A.... How can I see the next page of titles??
I know other titles exist because I have purchased them.
    Any help would be appreciated...
    Thanks

One way I have found is to compose your comment in TextEdit and then paste it into the Comment field.

  • How do I delete radio shows from iTunes and my iPod at the same time?

I have a lot of old time radio shows on my iPod. First, I copy them from iTunes to listen to on my iPod. When I am done, I want to delete BOTH of them at the same time. I am trying to avoid having to search for both because, for some reason, I cannot search both the iTunes and the iPod content at the same time. I obviously do not want them synced. In the previous version of iTunes, I was able to do with a key command. Now, I cannot figure out how to do it. ( I really wish there was a way I could color each selection so that I can find which ones I copied to the iPod easily. You know, just like how it's done in the operating system, where we can add the color label.)
Anyway, is there a way to do what I want, or am I stuck with searching separately, and then deleting them separately? Laborious indeed. Oh, yes, the duplicate function doesn't work here because you can't search both the iPod and iTunes at the same time.
Thanks in advance to all you smartie-pants out there.

when you purchas e a tv show from the itunes music store and then sync it to the ipod. there will appear a new name in th evideo subsection of videos on the ipod called tv shows thats where they will be and where you can watch the,.

  • How to find music on Mac HD (iTunes) when it does not appear in finder under MP3/4

I set up my iTunes to target an external HD.  I kept the music files (apparently) on my main MAC HD.  when I try to play them, iTunes looks to my external HD, but cannnot find them.  When I look under about this mac->storage, I see that all 64GB of music remains on my main HD, but when I run searches in the finder for MP3, MP4, or by band name, I cannot find anything.
Is there a way to do a search for these files besides this? They are still on my HD, how do I locate them?
    thanks!

My music is not there.  It is, however, showing up on my main (MAC) HD, not my external drive.  I think that I might have deleted the external drive copy instead of the local HD copy when I was trying to open up disk space.
Is there a way to scan the MAC HD aside from spotlight?  When I look under about this mac->storage, I see that all 64GB of music remains on my main HD, but when I run searches in the finder for MP3, MP4, or by band name, I cannot find anything.

  • How to get mp3s to show in itunes list without adding file or folder

How do you get downloaded music into the same folder as the itunes library to show up without having to do add folder or file. It seems on the mac they show up but on Windows XP you have to do an individual add of each new folder. The itunes library is on a network share and we download directly into the share. thanks

You need to do the import/add you mentioned. Doesn't matter if you put where it should go iTunes doesn't know it is there until you tell it.

  • How To Find and Delete duplicates in Itunes 11

Since the new update (Itunes 11), file, show duplicates is no longer there. I have just wiped my computer and all of my music resynced to my library twice and so now i have doubles of everything... I would like to know how I can view them all to delete them. if you could tell me what the new ability/directory it is under it would be much appreciated.

The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library. Note that, as with the iTunes feature, this list makes no distinction between "originals" and "dupes", you have to decide which is which.
There is also my DeDuper script for automatically removing duplicates copies but keeping one remaining copy of each set. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send the others to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file.

  • How to find "the remote button" in iTunes 11

I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to re-connect my iPhone Remote app to my computer, so hopefully I can save some people some time:
When you open the app and try to re-connect your iTunes library, it will give you a code, and some bizarre directions.
(If you have not done so already, go to "View" on the top bar, then "Show Sidebar")
On the sidebar, you will see 'DEVICES' as category.
**Click the little icon next to your device, and enter the code***

Like everyone else here, I have spent hours trying to figure this out, looking for the Devices category in the Sidebar and then Remote.  Nothing worked, until I finally figured it out.  I think this method is foolproof...:-)
    1. Open iTunes and make sure it is connected to your home network.
    2. Go to "View" on the top bar and then "Show Sidebar".  You should see Music, Films, etc, BUT YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY 'DEVICES', not just yet.
    3. Now, go to your iPad/iPhone, make sure it is connected to the SAME home network.  Open the Remote app on your iPad/iPhone.
    4. Go to 'Add an iTunes Library'.  You will get a four-digit code
    5. Now, look at the sidebar.  Now suddenly you will you see your iPad, under the newly-appeared 'Device' category, listed as "(Name's) iPad"
    6. Click on this new iPad icon in the sidebar.  Four boxes appear in iTunes for you to enter the code from the iPad
    Done!
The mystery is that your iPad/iPhone does not appear in Devices UNTIL you 'ping' iTunes requesting to control it remotely.
I also had firewall problems with McAffee.  If the above doesn't work, TURN OFF all your firewalls and try again.  If that solves the problem, you need to open a port on Mcaffee for access from devices on your network.

  • How to watch rented TV shows from iTunes Store

I just tried renting a TV show from the iTunes store on the ATV 2 for the first time, and I am unable to find the show in order to play it. I clicked on the "Rent" it asked me to login to my iTunes account, and then it asked me to enter the security code from the back of my credit card on file with the iTunes store. I did all that, and then it just went back to the screen where you can preview the show or rent it again. I checked my bank account and it was charged the $.99. I checked to see if there were any purchases available for download on the ATV by click Settings > General > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals. I never saw any progress bar or anything else indicating it was downloading. Is there a separate place you can go in the ATV to see movies and shows you have recently rented and are still available to watch? The episode I tried renting now has a blue circle next to it, and if I highlight it and push the play button on the remote, it just plays the 30 second preview. If I hold down the play button it just lets me mark the episode as watched.

No problem, and that's totally understandable. They wouldn't charge again until you've reached expiry (30 days unwatched, 24/48hrs once you've hit play)
