hello friends ,
how to find which web interface is used in portal.Say I have a copy job or delete function which i execute from portal .I want to find the web interface of this copy or delete function so that I can track global planning sequence and planning level where i need to do some amnedment.
Might be simple for you ppl who worked already on this.

2).from that find the web interface technical name
3). from transaction code BPS_WB , you can find functions and planning area used behind it ..

the getAppletContext() method of the Applet class will get you an AppletContext, with which you can call the ShowDocument(URL url) or ShowDocument(URL url, String target) method...

HTTP -> BPM (Receive -> Send Step (execute an SP or your select statement here in the JDBC receiver channel) -> send (to target) )-> end.

     the point here is i am using SAP release 620 and the creation of proxy is out of scenario
     and also no XI.    Its only through ABAP program i need to consume one web service (its a HTTPS one ),
    Using cl_http_client... i tried it but i am totally confused of whats happening ???
Req some senior ppl advice on the same/approach.

Following is the code for calling web service:

Once you got the client object you can call following methods:
"Set the requrie URL for the web service you want to call. This is not WSDL anyway!!
cl_http_utility=>set_request_uri( request = client->request
uri =' url 2 be called ').
*Then you can call send method with proper inputs for sending request to WS
CALL METHOD client->send
Then you can use receive method for getting the response
CALL METHOD client->receive
*You can get last error in case of exceptions
CALL METHOD cl_http_client=>get_last_error
*Close the client object
CALL METHOD client->close

as we know we find out any "object" classType , methods and fields information with help of "java.lang.reflect" API's
but how to find a package information as provided by jdk is in current use

You can locate the .zip or .jar file where the stuff is, and say either
unzip -l classes.zip
or
jar tvf classes.jar.
So you see the list of the classes in the given package.
Then you can say
javap -classpath classes.zip MyPackage.MyClass
to see the fields and methods of the given class.

Indeed, web service enablement is available as from Web AS 6.20, thus as from SAP R/3 4.7
So as described above, the solution is indeed to make use of PI(XI) for this.
