How to find whether a m4a file is of kind apple lossless programmatically

Hi,
Through my application i am transferring music files to windows machine but as we know that windows can not play apple lossless file (.m4a) and thus while trassferring i have to check whether the file is apple lossless or not. I am unable to find a way to find the kind of file programmatically. How should i read the file tags ? or any other similar way.
thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I have found he solution and sharing the solution wih u all.
Actually i found a apple script in dougs website. In that we just have to compare the kind of file with Lossless. You can find the script on Dougs url as i dont remember the exact link.
Thanks for viewing my query.

  • How to find whether the output file is generated or not?

    Hi,
I ran EDI 855 program for one of our customer. The program succesfully completed and it shows in the logfile that few documents got processed and few lines got processed. But the output file in the outbound directory shows the file size as zero.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the problem.
And please let me know how to check whether flatfile is generated succesfully for the request run for any customer.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Venkat,
As every one have already explained other points,in standard SAP there is no provision to determine as if the sales order is intercompany or not.
But if you  want you can create a user status as normal sales order and intercompany sales order. So by checking the status at table level or in order you can determine if it is Intercompany or normal sales order.
Best way is to create a different document type itself which will be exclusively used for intercompany orders. So it will be easy for reporting and tracking purpose.
    Reward points if useful

You did solve it or you are still neeeding to do it?
If you solved, it, please post your solution so others can see it.
    If not, do this...
    iTunes prefs > General.
    Click the Import Settings... button.
Set prefs to Apple Lossless Encoder.
Select songs, right click - Create Apple Lossless version.
Note that this creates a new copy in ALAC. The previous version is still in iTunes.

  • How to find whether an Invoice is been posted for a particular PO

    Hi,
How to find whether an Invoice is been posted for a particular PO.
I have a scenario where I fetch data into an internal table T_CDHDR(It has PO and other details). For each and every entry(PO) in that internal table I have to see whether an Invoice is been posted or not. They told to use <b>EKBE(Purchasing document history)</b> table. But, I don't know which field to check for and based on what conditions.
Can someone help me with sample code or some valuable inputs.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Paddu.

    HI,
    TABLE IS RIGHT.
IN THAT TABLE FOR THE FIELD BEWTP CHECK WHETHER ENTRY IS "Q".
Q STANDS FOR IR-L THAT MEANS INVOICE IS DONE.
ON THE SELECTION SCREEN OF EKBE TABLE ENTER THE PO NUMBER.
THEN CHECK WHETHER IT HAS ENTRY FOR BEWTP 'Q'.
YOU CAN CROSS-CHECK THIS DATA FROM TABLE WITH THAT IN ACTUAL PO IN T.CODE - ME23N.
ENTER PO NUMBER ,THEN IN ITEM DETAILS , IN HISTORY TAB SEE FOR THAT INVOICE NO.

  • How can I convert an M4A file to an MP3 version?

How can I convert an M4A file to an MP3 version?

Thanks for your reply but that's not my problem.
I know that I can burn an M4A file to a CD and then import it back as an MP3, but that's an annoying process and wastes blank CDs.  I thought iTunes had a menu choice to convert a selected file to MP3 format.  I guess that's not true with M4A versions.
I will simply buy my music from Amazon from now on and I won't have to deal with this file format and protection nonsense.  I can download music from Amazon in MP3 format as the rest of my music is in.

  • Hi guys,Explain how to find whether the user request is dialog or bc ...

how to find whether the user request is dialog or bc or some other wp and where we can see that ?

    Hello Damodar,
You can find out that in SM50.
However one piece of advice. I have noticed that you are raising lots of questions about very basic questions. Either you new to SAP or dont know anything about SAP Basis and want to get in this area. Or else you are preparing for some interview. In either of these cases expecting solutions given at SDN are not going to be of much help. Better read yorself in SAP Help as most people do. SDN should not be overly used for such purposes. Basic questions are welcome but you want to learn SAP through SDN !!!

  • How do I open a .m4a file from Mail into Music app?

How do I open a .m4a file from Mail into Music app?
I mixed down a song from my band's latest session and saved it as a .m4a file (Apple AAC Audio format) and I e-mailed it to myself. Then on my phone I opened the e-mail message in Mail and held a long-press down on the attached .m4a file. But I do not see the option to open it up into the Music app. It only gives me the options of iMovie, WeChat, and USB Disk. Why would I want to open it up in those? It's a song. It should open up into the Music app so I can play it. What the heck?
Please don't tell me that I have to use iTunes to do this and sync my phone to my computer, because I *do not* want to add these songs to my iTunes library. They are *practice session tracks* that I want to listen to then delete later when we have new versions.
If there is no way to open them into the Music app, then is there a music player app I can get somewhere that will let me simply save audio files from Mail into it, and use it as a player for those songs? That's all I want to do.
The only reasonable workaround I have found so far is to save them as .mp4 audio files, which the iPhone thinks are movies, so it lets me save them into the camera roll as Videos.
Voice Memos would be acceptable as a place for them to be able to open into as well, but of course that's also not on the options list. Sigh.

    TJBUSMC1973 wrote:
You'll have to use iTunes, add it to your iTunes library, then sync it.  You can always delete it from your iTunes library later.
Why is that such an issue for you?
Why do people insist on replying to threads without even reading the original post? I explained it there already!
I don't have to use iTunes to save an image from Mail into my camera roll, or to save a PDF from Mail into iBooks. Why should I have to use iTunes to save a music file into Music app?
But I'll repeat it since evidently you can't be asked to read the original posts before spamming a thread with questions that have already been answered. I *do not* want to add these songs to my iTunes library.
My iTunes library is a sacred temple into which I only allow to enter the very best and highest-fidelity musical recordings of all time. I refuse to sully and soil my iTunes library with crappy practice mixdowns from my band, etc.
Want to know why? Because I like to be able to hit "shuffle all" on my iTunes library and know that something that will improve my existence will emanate forth from this amazing device that I have invested thousands of dollars into (yes, I count my cell phone plan amongst the expenses).
I shall not have the crappy burner mixdown tracks from my band's practice sessions come up every five songs (we generate TONS of these... literally hundreds... and they are all high-bitrate .m4a tracks in the 10-15 MB range). I let iTunes keep my music folder organized on my computer. It makes copies of everything being placed into it, and I don't want 159 GB of copies of burner tracks hiding like roaches throughout my temple. We don't name these files anything sensible (in fact the guy who mixes them down intentionally gives them random weird names) and they lack metadata. So there's no easy way to delete them back out of iTunes once they're in there. It's a huge pain; I used to do it, but I swore it off years ago and *I'm never going back!*
The REAL question is, why does Apple force me to have to use iTunes—the most convoluted, kludgy piece of bloatware ever to issue forth from Cupertino—to do something as simple as adding an MP3 from Mail into the Music app on my phone? Why can't there be something simple—something equivalent to the Camera Roll inside the Music app, not only for the files I want to save from Mail, but also for my Garage Band exports, not to mention all the exports from all the various synthesizer, drum machine, and recording apps I use on a daily basis in iOS?
It would be awfully nice to be able to play the songs I've recorded right in the Music app without having to go through the rigamarole of adding those files to my iTunes library, tagging them with metadata, syncing, etc. etc. yadda yadda yadda—just to delete them again as soon as I've synced so they don't pollute my computer's iTunes library!
I bought Apple for ease of use, not so I would be forced to jump through a million hoops just do to something that ought to take one tap to accomplish!  That's ridiculous!

Is there any indicator attached to POs that indicates whether MIRO is done for that PO?
I mean after PO creation in ME21N -> GR in MIGO -> Excise (if applicable) and -> MIRO... how to find whether MIRO is done for a particular PO?

See if an entry exist in EKBE for the PO Number and its items.
The complete process though is, to find the GR Quantity for each PO Item and see if it matches with the PO Item quantity.
      SELECT EBELN
             EBELP
             MENGE
             LOEKZ
        FROM EKPO

           AND VGABE = '1'.

    * Change the sign of the quantity for debit
        IF LT_EKBE-SHKZG = C_SHKZG_H.
          LT_EKBE-MENGE = -1 * LT_EKBE-MENGE.
        ENDIF.
        MOVE-CORRESPONDING LT_EKBE TO LT_EKBE_SUM.
        COLLECT LT_EKBE_SUM INTO LT_EKBE_SUM.
        CLEAR LT_EKBE_SUM.
        ENDLOOP.
       loop at it_ekpo.
** For each line item, calculate the total GR Quanity
READ TABLE LT_EKBE_SUM WITH KEY EBELN = LT_EKPO-EBELN
                                        EBELP = LT_AWKEY-EBELP.
        IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
    * If the PO Item Quantity is equal to GR Quantity
            IF LT_EKPO-MENGE <= LT_EKBE_SUM-MENGE.
    * The PO Item can be considered completed GRed

    Hi all,
Please suggest me, how to find out web content files linked in folio through scripting.
    Regards,
    Moorthy

@Moorthy – can you tell us a bit more? By mentioning "folio", I think you are referring to Adobe Digitial Publishing Suite (ADPS or short: DPS). If yes:
    1. Do you want to analyze Folio files *.folio and get the linked web content files?
    2. Or do you want to check an InDesign file with an overlay and check what files are linked as web content?
    3. Or something else?
    Where is your base problem?
Packaging the InDesign files and copy/relinking the web content files after the packaging process?

  • How to find whether remote database is up or not (connected via dblink)

    Hi,
I am using dblink to connect Biz database from Dev database.(Biz, Dev - database names)
Running dbms job using the dblink from the Dev database to update data on Biz database...
Problem is dbms job should run if and only if the Biz database is up for which i created the dblink...
    1) How to make sure or implement the check to find whether the Biz is database is up or not in Pl/sql or sql...
    2) How to reschedule the dbms jobs once the database is up
pls suggest me how to find whether the database is up or not b4 running the dbms job?
    Using- Oracle 10g

The only way to know whether the remote database is up (and whether the network between the two databases is up and whether the remote database's listener is up and whether the password configured in the database link is correct and whether the local TNS alias is correct, etc) would be to actually run a query against the remote database over the database link. In other words, the way to figure out whether the link is up is to let the job run and catch & handle exceptions when there are problems.
By default, a job scheduled via DBMS_JOB will automatically reschedule itself if there is an unhandled exception by geometrically backing off (it waits 1 minute after the first failure, 2 minutes after the second, 4, 8, 16, 32 minutes, etc until it's marked as broken after 16 failures). You could, of course, catch appropriate exceptions and handle them in a reasonable fashion and manually reschedule jobs at intervals that make more sense for your particular job.

  • How can i convert my whole library to flac or apple lossless

how do i convert my whole library to flac or apple lossless?!!?!!?!?!?!

First, FLAC is not supported by iTunes and the same probably applies to the iPod.
Second, are all your files currently in AIFF or WAV format, or on CDs?  If you have mp3 files or AAC files the only thing that will happen by you converting them to lossless is you will use up more space for the music with no gain in quality.  Quality is lost when you convert to mp3 or AAC and converting it to lossless won't get it back.
It looks like current ipods support Apple Lossless.  Still, the whole idea behind ipods is to use compressed format so you can fit on the most music.  Read http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=85227
If after doing all that you still want Apple Lossless, you need to set the preferences to ALAC in your iTunes preferences, then convert with the Advanced menu command.  Mind you, I use an older iTunes so you may have to explore a bit to find where they have those features now.  This conversion will place a copy of the file in iTunes in the new format but also leave the old one there, so you'll need to delete the old ones if you don't want them.
